My old man would take me over there in the early 80s and we would camp in an old beachcombers hut. The ‘rent’ was you had to leave something there for the next guy. The cost of getting Dad’s Sukuki Sierra over on a private barge was a bottle of bundy and the latest newspaper. Got plenty of pig, scrub turkey and duck shooting in as a young fella not much older than yours. You are doing a magnificent job mate and your kids will never forget.
I really enjoy watching your happy family travels and adventures. Your kids can look back, literally, on these times with such fond memories forever. Cheers to th whole family
I stumbled across your channel while trying to find Land Cruiser Overlanding vids. So many of them here in America are Jeeps, and I can’t stand to watch those. Or, so many people that are Overlanding are single or just a couple. Not very challenging at all compared to doing it with a family. I can’t imagine all of the work it takes to do this with a family of 5 and make videos while doing it. Well done! Please keep it up. I’m trying to get my wife more into it, and it’s channels like yours that help inspire her. Your vids make me want to move to Australia. So beautiful and inspiring.
Fantastic video. What a wonderful life you are giving your beautiful family. I love when my son and adult grandson visit and we talk about your videos. One day we are going to follow in your footsteps. Just wish we had done it it when my 4 boys were young. Still it's not too late. Just wish I could dance like Bec. Blessings to you all.
Beautiful photos of the night stars and what a breathtaking sunset. Thank you, Bec and Justin for sharing your adventure on Curtis island at the campsite Joey Lees.
We thoroughly enjoy your travels, location, narration and superb photography and oh the dancing. The videos are always interesting and look forward to ongoing travels.
You say you’ve been told your a terrible fisherman, but I have to say you are up there with the best of them when it comes to being a Dad, those kids of yours are a credit to you both and the things they have done on a day to day basis, are things some can only dream of! Brilliant
That was a great video, you both are so exciting to watch. I love your kids having so much fun. I felt myself smiling and almost laughing at Justin so excited all the time. Awesome video. Thanks, stay healthy. Baz and Noreen
What an amazing Dancer your Wifey is mate. I recon Bec must Rock the Dancefloor at every opportunity. Got the moves ! Your Lady can move and boogy ay !
Just love your adventures it reminds me of when my Dad would take my brothers and I camping and fishing all over NSW, then when we got older my eldest brother and I would travel all over the east coast fishing those were the days now in my retirement years I have decided to do the big lap next year with my partner.
Hey Bec & Justin & the Kids once again a great vid saw a few pin stripes on the side of the van, Bec is a great dancer looks like a great little island. Glad to see you're having such great weather up there i'm on the South Coast of NSW at a place called Bomaderry & in the last 2 weeks we have had heaps of rain. This weekend just gone we've had a least 265mm of rain AMAZING. Anyway nice size flathead to mate. Until the next episode safe travels to you all PETE.
Oh you guys, what a fantastic place to camp. Simply gorgeous. Just love The Prawn Star Justin, keep on wiggling Bec. And Charlie I'm sure the butler did do it. Have you ever had a mango eating contest with the kids? The best mess. Thanks for sharing I love it. Can't wait for borders to be open.
Ps. At some stage can you tell us a little bit about the induction stove. Where , how much, how much power do they need etc. Cheers. It has me intrigued
Oh that was a ripper episode and a horse of a flattie:D So good seeing you guys out and about, we are still tethered down here but it wont be long!! Thanks heaps for sharing guys
Great video guys, we went to Moreton Island last christmas. It was in my opinion also a hidden gem, since everybody wants to go to Fraser. But Moreton Island was even better. Less crowds and more shipwrecks to explore! Keep up the nice videos, greetings from Germany. We hope to come back for another 3 months next year in March!
Two hands for the sand worm. Bait in front, get read to pinch him from behind when he arches his back to yank the bait down with him. Great vids and that flatty was a great boat chirstener.
Well guys absolutely brilliant Curtis Island is on our plans. Did the Prawn Star upset the barber Cheryl needs to know!! The cob loaf looks delicious getting on to it this week. Have a good week where ever you are travelling, a place you might try near Ayr is Groper Creek our friends stay there, parking space boat ramp good fishing etc... Roy & Cheryl (UK)
Sandworming info.... use a baked bean (any can) with the open end upside down over a worm hole, stomp on the can hard and the worm pops out another hole 😅so much fun for the kids,we do this down the Coorong
Hi Guys, It's a fair way from us out in the middle of Oz, 5 months on the road has seen us pull into Daly Waters, a far cry from our old home in South Aust. Hope you are having as much fun as us. Anton & Tania
Fantastic video, beautiful places and stunning filming especially of the distance and high shots. I laughed at your reaction when you caught the flatfish. 😂 👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧 Lovely family.
Great moves Becc .... loved the island and the drone footage as usual ... kids riding their bikes makes me want too do that !! Fishing meh .... but love how enthusiastic you are !! .....as always 👏👍😁
Well another great vid! You guys are a great cheer up and the answer to lockdown here in the UK. Full marks for remarks about waste we know what that's like!! Roll on your next trip...love those magnetic stubby holders, on my list :) Take care. Roy & Cheryl (UK)
Hi. I’m from Nottingham, England. Please call in Port Douglas on your way north. There’s a good place for pebble stacking on the way up from Cairns and a creek where you can Croc spot from the bridge. Even though it says no stopping. We were there three years ago, we travelled up from Brisbane in a camper van. Did Fraser and Hamilton islands etc. Loved every minute of it. Stay safe, really enjoying your vids.
Mate!! She's a great dancer!! Love it those photos and of course!! I'm truly jealous of all your trips, it makes me think that I think it'ss time for me to retire and start enjoying our awesome land!! Cheers Guys!!
Great video - the production quality keeps getting better and better. Your middle child is quite fast running alongside his older brother on the bike, and I loved the quick cave exploration with the kids. Not sure about Bec's dance moves though.... :-) Love your work!
They still have the oblique about going into the marina, left Gladstone in 1995, last time I worked was the Boyne Island Smelter expansion project, must get up that way, worked on Heron Island a few times as both Island kitchen and putting in septic tanks back late 80's,
Great spot and another super production. Bec, "you can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life, ooh, see that girl, watch that scene, digging the DANCING QUEEN" 😜
I have different memories of Curtis Island 👎 worked on the LNG plant construction phase and for 3 years living in the single mans camp . Hope one day to visit again and camp and enjoy . Great Flathead and love your videos. Cheers 🍻. PS your wife is a great dancer 💃 😁
Mate! The water front camp spot and the colours in in sky 👌. I'm suprised we didn't see Justin do the Bec dance when getting that flat head in the boat, nice catch.
Awesome episode guys, we watched it last night, mate the island looked awesome plus we didn’t realize how accessible it is 👍 can’t wait for the next one 🤙
Hi guys. Love the videos. You guys are a great inspiration to us all. My kids where young when we started going camping and like yours they love it. Well 98% of the time. Keep the shows going. I’m jealous as. You guys are just so natural and I love how you take the piss out of each other. Really look forward to seeing the next vid. They toy car looks great. It is bloody long though. Do you find it hard in the city trying to park it. Keep up the great work. Stay safe and hope to see you at the Adelaide show next time
Great enjoyable videos again and again and again. Thanks a lot I really stretched it out by pausing and coming back to it. That star you saw I think is the planet Mars. Not 100% sure because I don’t know what date it was but definitely not the North Star because it’s only visible in the northern hemisphere. Happy to be corrected if anyone else who is a proper expert. Love the setup. You’ve done well
correct guys, not the North Star, it is only visible in the northern hemisphere as it is almost right on top of the North Pole ... also correct it is either Mars or Venus, depends on time of year, Justin there are many star apps for iOS and android , I use sky view , good way to teach the kids as well, ... also love the night photos , would be good to have a segment in a vid , great vid as usual, so jealous of you guys, cheers, Garry
Yeah Justin Wait until you use that app. It is absolutely brilliant. You can lie on the ground with an iPad or phone above you and move it around and it will show you everything with the names etc. warning, next you’ll want a telescope. (A lot easier to carry than a tinny too)
Many time watcher, first time subscriber, liker and commenter. Love your energy and the family is just amazing. Will be doing a lap as soon as this is over and hope to run into you one day. And yes I learnt a dance or two today :)
Curtis Is, that has only been work for me. a few trips over to the LPG Storage and shipping terminal during its construction. great to see the other side of the island. I was once lucky enough to have seen wild Brumbys. maybe on your next trip. Not many places in Australia to catch sight of a wild horse.
I’m from Gladstone and have a family shack over on facing island! Good to see you guys visiting small towns and showing people what we have to show!
Loved it mate hey! Such a good spot 💪
Bloody brilliant, what a life the kids are getting and what freedom you can see the joy in their faces and everything they do. Kudos to you all
