Love what you said about inktense pencils, I'm the same way, I have difficulty with traditional painting, Derwent inktense and neocolor2 are my favorites
I’m really enjoying your videos! I just accidentally bumped into them, and subscribed because I haven’t seen many folks using watercolor pencils/crayons so effectively. I particularly like your use of impressionist color. The natural settings are just spectacular, too! Your narrations are well done and friendly. What a great combo! Well done. I’m happy to have found your channel. Thanks!
Another wonderful and inspiring video! Thank you! 🤗 I agree… I wish Derwent would make more than 24 colors for is Drawing line of pencils. They are so soft and creamy to apply and I also enjoy using them with water soluble pencils and pastels! The closest pencils I’ve been to find to that same soft, creamy application is Caran D’Ache Luminance. They are very similar (not exact, though). Your sketch came out fantastic, and I love that color palette! 👍🤗 Nicely captured!
Thanks Wendi. Glad you watched it! That white pencil I used at the end on the Aspen tree was Luminance. I bought it on a whim and it's the only color of that line I own and I agree it's very nice. I'm afraid I might need to buy many more Luminance colors. I better save my pennies up. 🤣 I haven't even finished buying all the Derwent Drawing colors yet.
@@PaintWithPencil With as as much nature and landscape art as you create it would probably be beneficial to get the Derwent Drawing pencils you want first! 👍 Unfortunately, the range is severely lacking in greens, though. I was super fortunate to come across an entire Derwent Drawing set, barely used and still in the tin, a few years ago at an estate sale!! It cost me all of $3!! Estate sales can be a great place to find decent art supplies. 👍
Hello again! This video has made me dust off my tin of Inktense to see what I can do with them! When I purchased them a few years ago, I ended up putting them away out of frustration because they didn’t behave like the watercolor pencils I was used to. I just have to keep reminding myself they are water soluble ink, and stop trying to make them behave like watercolor. 🤷🏼♀️😬
Hey Brent. I was looking for something easy to carry and to use during my trip to Corsica this summer. I said why not try these beautiful Museum Aqurerelle pencils which I had barely touched? They did not disappoint me. This is definetely the best solution when traveling. I found your channel when I got back home and I am so glad I did. You confirmed me in my choice. Thank you for your great videos and I am very much much looking forward to new ones. 👍 Ps:is your painting box custom made?
That's awesome. I love Museum Aquarelle. Good choice. My box is custom made. I put small friction hinges on a small basswood box I picked up at a craft store. The friction hinges keep the lid stiff and in place so it kind of acts like an easel that way. I'm looking to make a second one that is a different size and hope to make a video about it. Glad you found the channel!
Mother Nature definitely IS the best artist. 😍
I love my intense set of 72, I'm planning to using them for my comic book art work.

I really love your videos, very inspiring. All of them ❤
Thank you so much!
Lovely painting. So glad I found your channel! I also prefer watercolor pencils and Inktense over paint. Thanks so much for for your videos.
Thanks so much. I'm glad you found the channel too 😊.

I can't say any pencil ever behaves for me. Unruly little things 😂
