Our interpretation of the prog classic by UK recorded live with 2 ambient mics!
The original was recorded in 1978 and released as a single of the self-titled first album U.K." on E.G.Records / Polydor.! This album features John Wetton (b,voc) Eddie Jobson (keyb, vio) Bill Bruford (dr) and Allan Holdsworth (guit)

A great cover. Love that the synth sound, drums, guitar and bass. I love that U.K. album. I listened it a lot back in the late 80's. Well done. I actually managed to do a great cover of Alaska using my DX7 MK1 using a powerful synth brass with a natural flanging effect. A great progressive rock!!!!!!!
Thanx man, glad you liked our little rendition. The synth sound is a layered mixture between the S80 piano and a trinity strings patch.
By any chance, are you doing more covers for UK and Rush? I would love to hear the full cover of Alaska and Time To Kill. Also for Rush, I would love to see Subdivisions and The Big Money. I am thinking of doing the full cover for Subdivisions, but man, the drum arrangement is so complex!!!!! I didn't realise that until I started to compose using my Logic Pro X. Amazingly complex and truly powerful!!!!! Rush rocks!!!!!! You have similar taste for music to mine!!!! I love Rush, UK, Yes and other rock/progressive bands!!! Good work!!!
I don't think that I will do any new covers so soon. The band from the UK video doesn't exist anymore since 2011and my international collabs also getting rarer. Lately I haven't had much time and also not much motivaton, but I would love to see your full cover collab of subdivisions any time soon, keep me posted!

@Donn713: Yes, 2 mics, one close to the guitar amp, and the other between the drums and the bass amp. Just the 2 vocs were tracked directly. Thats how i record all my rehearsal videos ... still much better than just the audio from the cam! Glad you like it.
