It is such a relief in these difficult times to have the Waltons. Over the past few days, watching the news, I kept thinking, I JUST WANT TO GO LIVE ON WALTON'S MOUNTAIN!!!!
I feel the SAME way. We live in insanely crazy times and the Waltons his an escape back to better times.
I feel the same way, I always say I want to go to Walton’s mountain
So neat to see David and Judy recalling those Waltons days. You know, the viewers are never really sure what any actor is really like in real life. It's so good to discover that the cast of The Waltons are all really fine and genuine folks. Keep it up Judy. You are doing a wonderful job. By the way, we missed you while you were away. Glad to see you back.
I always watch the marathon of The Waltons! Love you all!
Hi Judy good to see David on you are doing great hey Jim Bob. Did make it as a pilot thank you both of you great video and pictures off waltons
Out of all the interviews David is by far the most comfortable to watch. He really seems authentic, down to earth and transparent. I realize he has struggled finding a career after the show and had worked with Eric at one time. Regardless o enjoyed the interview. He seems like the kind of person that would be fun to hang out with.
Agree! Very interesting! I enjoyed Kami too. Interesting these two youngest had the most insightful things to say. Really interesting stuff!
I agree. The best cast member interview so far. For someone so young at the time, he really did have a lot of Behind the Scenes stories. As a fan, so fun to hear. I also like the way Judy just let him talk and relay his memories.
As a viewer/listener, I believe David enjoyed the reminiscing. It certainly came across that way.
Thanks to both
My fave!!
I really grew to love Jim Bobs character as the seasons went on. What i loved about his character is he always spoke what was on his mind. He really grew to be one of the main characters as seasons went by.
I agree. He had a powerful character and on screen presence even tho he may not of felt so. I love the man Jim Bob grew into too. I always felt like all of the Walton's were the main characters. Every episode was like an hour long movie. The details you just will not find or see today. Everyone one of the Walton's including Martha Corin... Who Jim Bob loved. Good point tho he did get much more screen time as the years progressed. I for one am very thankful he did.
He had excellent episodes toward the end of the series
@@m.e.d.7997 I can’t get myself to watch beyond season 6. Feels strange with the new John Boy.
I try to pretend that little blip with John boy leaving never happened. I love the other characters and how aunt rose came on and we followed that. And Ben in the war. I love it all... But unfortunately for John boy #2.... No one liked him... I never saw him in anything else I can recall either. But it was a blessing for Richard Thomas....
Love watching these, my mother in law got me hooked on the Walton's, she watches it everyday on Me TV. Now I am watching all the episodes with my daughter who is ten on Freevee. We love it. It's just such a great show. There is really nothing much I can feel comfortable watching with my kids that's appropriate and the Walton's fits the bill. Wholesome, and I wish they made shows like this today. We are Christians and I will not just watch anything
I have read that DAVID is very shy . You do not come off as shy in this DAVID! You are just being you with your friend JUDY! This was a wonderful interview! Thank you both for this!❤️
In a one on one interview with just Judy and no audience just a camera even an autistic person can shine and communicate with ease. Not saying David is autistic but A shy person could do this easily in most cases.
It's easier to focus on talking with a friend than to worry about the audience. Judy and David look very comfortable talking together.
Being shy isn't a bad thing
@@kenblair6622 - I can vouch for that, Ken! ;)
I'm shy 😊
Good morning Judy and David. Happy belated birthday, David.
Judy, tell David he was so interesting talking about his memories of The Waltons. It was a great interview and I hope you have him on as a guest again. It’s so good to see him.
This was such a gift, given that David values his privacy. This made my day. As always, thank you dear Judy!
I had always heard David was shy and reserved. The guy is a hoot. I really enjoyed this visit. Thanks Judy and David!
I enjoyed this. David is very down to earth and fun to listen to. Thanks for sharing this Judy!
David is a fun guy. Please don’t say you’re getting old, David! I’m 60, so that would mean I am too! Great interview. Hope you’re enjoying Europe, Judy! Mary
David Harper, aka, Jim bob, was such an adorable actor. Loved watching him on the Walton's. Thank you David for all the fond memories and Thank you Judy for these great memories of all the cast members. Enjoy your vacation. Great to see David and hear his stories of his time on the show. 💜🌷💜
I also can't believe that little Jim bob is or will be 61 years of age, wow, how time flies. Happy Birthday, 🎂 David. 🎂🎉💜🌷🎉
I love how sensitive his character was. In the episode The Secret”, he displayed such vulnerability and I he did such a great job. I also love the episode when he ran away from home. I love the interaction between he and Richard. Happy birthday sweet David. You’re still adorable!
@@janfromseattle Yes, I just watched the Runaway yesterday. Loved it, as well as the episode, The Secret. It was so sweet and his performance was outstanding. The hug between he and his mom at the end without any words being spoken, just melted my heart. Love Love Loved it. 💜🌷
@@angelicaridgeway4318 I agree! That hug said it all, didn’t it?
Thank you for having David harper on
Hello Judy! Thank you for posting this I hope you are enjoying your Anniversary trip!! Thank you for letting us see Jim Bob again, David thank you for taking time out for this you are looking wonderful! I love the episode when everyone finds out Jim Bob is a twin you all had such great characters I would love to see you all together again. Till next time!🥰
There's Judy....working on her vacation. David , it's nice listening to you.
I think David enjoyed his days on the Waltons, as it appears ya’ll did. Listening to him it certainly sounds he did. He has done well from losing his mother at an early age! Very good to see Jim-Bob
Great feedback and perspective from David! Great interview, Judy. His re-telling of what happened on the show was open and included a good amount of humor. Good guy. Thanks, Judy, for these interviews!
Happy 61st Birthday David ! 🎂
David is an awesome interview ... "Shark vibes!" 🤣😂 He is hilariously entertaining. David's stories, especially from his younger perspective, were so refreshing. Wow, did time fly in this interview .... so enjoyable! The conversation between you two just flowed so effortlessly, I felt like I was eavesdropping. ☺️
I drove to Missouri to meet the Waltons' cast. I felt bad for them. It was a never ending line of people, wanting autographs and pictures. Poor Kami was busy signing numerous rag dolls. I just thanked each of them for entertaining me. What a gracious group of individuals. I sure missed you, Michael, Richard and David.
Then I am glad I didn't come to the event. That is tough. Sometimes people forget that actors are just people.
Thanks for letting us know. I feared a sense of people being “on display”. Maybe Judy can let us know, or someone can ask in her “Ask Judy” segments, if there’s an optimal way for any of these artists to know of the appreciation of fans. (I don’t even know how one writes to anyone famous.) It’s clear here there’s genuine warmth and thankfulness expressed. But it would be nice to have celebrations that didn’t put unnatural or taxing conditions on anyone. The flip side is, I’m glad the appreciation was abundant and you carried some to them. Thanks for all!
They are paid to attend these fairs and they make money from autographs. They have the choice to attend. Eric has told me they appreciate the Fan base. It gives the actors a chance to connect, be appreciated and re connecting with their acting family. It may look overwhelming to us but without a fan base you are no longer appreciated or remembered in this business.
David and Kami looked about five at the beginning of the Waltons. I was surprised he was 10. Both just were so natural not like they were acting.❤
David is a talent! Love his sense of humor too. 🤣 can’t wait to see more of him.
looking good Jim Bob. thanks for sharing. I truly enjoyed your character as one of my favorites.
Judy your interview with David is so awesome. Thank you for having him on your Behind the Scenes. I love hearing all of the casts memories of the show, from taping to finished product.
Oh, and Happy Birthday, David. Wishing you all the best!
Thanks again David and Judy for taking the time to do this for us! Happy Birthday David! I always loved the relationship between Jim Bob and Elizabeth, especially when they were younger. So appreciate you doing this for us!!
Thank You for posting this on your vacation Judy. Now go enjoy your vacation. No more work. 🥰
David is amazing thank u both for letting us walk with u down memory lane I think it was funny that David said he and kami were Bonnie and Clyde they really seemed like they were real brother and sister
Our memories through life's journeys are precious gifts.
Thank you Judy and David and all the cast and guests interviewed on this channel for sharing with us those times and recollections held in beloved memory. I appreciate so very much all of the different perspectives each cast member has conveyed here Judy. Your warmth and empathetic character makes your interviewing style feel as if we are eavesdropping on 2 beloved friends reminiscing. That is how it should be...conducted with grace and respect for your guest and viewers. You never disappoint. With thanks for all who care enough to share with us. I hope you enjoyed your travels abroad.
THANKS DAVID. YOUR CHARACTER JIM BOB WAS VERY INTERESTING. MECHANICAL AVIATOR GIRL LOVER ! THE FIRST PATSY BRIMER WAS SOOO CUTE ! WE JUST REALLY LIKED YA. PEACE & LOVE.
Hi, Judy! I just noticed that David's birthday was Oct. 4. My mom would have turned 100 on that same day if she were still living. Also, David beat me to age 61 by just five months. Finally, I enjoyed your most recent appearance on John Cato's "That's Classic!" channel. Thanks so much for everything you do.
It was funny seeing him in "Fletch"! Also, I agree with you....One of his best scenes is when he breaks the news that your Husband had been killed at Pearl Harbor. It's a brief scene but the fact that Jim Bob was usually so quiet, somehow made it more powerful.
Judy, I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this segment with David. Thank you so very much. Thank you, David! ❤
I just love him. He is such a real guy. I love his character in the show and all the movies too but him as a regular American too. It's amazing what an impact on my life he and you, Judy, have had on me. He reminds me of my younger brother, Kevin. Thank you for coming on the show I hope we see you again and again. Love y'all! Thank you for just making my day. I hope that doesn't sound silly but this channel keeps me going and makes me feel part of something really special. I really love you all.
What a pleasant surprise! Didn't expect to see you while you're away. Hope you and yours are having a fantastic time in France.
We all begged to hear from David for so long and it was definitely worth the wait!!! I knew your interview would be a massively huge hit, David! Thanks to Judy for all the work to making it happen!
saw this at work makes me want to leave early. I Iove listening to David tell stories. he has a great sense of humor too.
It was great hearing from David
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to your Canadian followers
David Harper was the Steve McQueen of the Waltons with his motorcycle while being towed (never drove it-wow?). Fun interview!
David Harper is my favorite interview of all the Walton actors so far. Thank-You!
Good funny stories David brought out about pranks and jokes
Fabulous interview!!! I love all of the memories and fun that went on behind the scenes. I always thought David was shy, but he is quite talkative. He's lovely....Hey, David...I'm old too! I just turned 51! 😊 Jim Bob was my favorite, and you must know that a lot of people just adore you and your work on The Waltons! Thank you, Judy, for putting so much time and energy into the making of these videos for us!!! You're the best! ♥
No I can't say I would have ever imagined that there'd have been an electric transformer right out of camera range behind that bush where Jim-Bob had backed into! YIKES! It's amazing that Mr. Harper lived to tell the tale (and what were the producers thinking letting someone who couldn't actually drive at the time back veer the vehicle into something so dangerous!) . Hopefully, Mr. Harper will find that home movie all you younger cast members created and it will be in still good enough shape for you and the others to view again! Thanks for having him on and I hope he's doing well!
Happy belated birthday, David! Umm, I didn't hear you use the "old" word, did I? ☺️ It was good to hear you speak highly of Mr Hamner! Your protector you called him. I had a chance to interview Mr Hamner for a local radio station and I was astonished how kind, genuine, and humorous a person he was. Thanks so much Judy for hosting your cast mates! Thanks so much, David for sharing your stories with us fans! Bless you both and Walton's everywhere! ✨🧡✨🍂✨🍁✨🍁✨🎃✨🧡
Nice to hear more from David. It must have been a great playground for a youngster.
Wow , hard to imagine David at 61. He looks great. Very interesting to learn how things were done on the show. Thankyou again so much Judy for the best segments.just got finished looking at the episode the nurse. And The vigil. Great episodes. ❤🙏🔥👍
Have such fond memories of the Walton gang ❤️
David Harper you are/were the only Walton's character that made me laugh seeing you driving that old car and what a cute kid you were you were funny playing Jim-Bob!
I think David was a heart throb for quite a few years. he was like this quite storm I think had crush on him . because he was funny and intelligent. and his air plane hat was great, I hope he still has it.
A delightful episode with David. He's an absolute delight & his memories are great despite him thinking he's getting old (aren't we all?). He was a good, solid actor. Should have stayed in the business but I'm sure he had other interests. I wish him well & hope he's happy & life is treating him kindly. Thank you David for your reminiscing of your time on The Walton's. And if course, Judy, thank you for sharing!
So great to hear David’s stories, as well as yours, Judy! This interview proves that while actors have a very fascinating, fun-and very demanding-job, they are, nevertheless, very human, just like the rest of us! Thanks to you both! I hope you’re enjoying Europe, Judy.
How wonderful!
@Judy Norton - So nice to hear this interview with David .
Thank you , Judy .
David Harper sounds the same as when he was on the show.
Thank you , I’m so excited to watch both parts on David Harper. Jim Bob was one of my favorites. It’s so great to see him again talking about the Walton’s
I'm glad you always talk to your casts Judy and you have a special bond that no one can ever replace
He really liked John Ritter as he talked about him in part 1
I always have loved the character of Jim Bob, David did a wonderful job as a young actor portraying him. Thank you so much David for giving me so much joy over the years. We love you.
Love the posts with former cast! ❤ David Harper was a gifted actor!
❤
This has been a great segment, looking forward to more of your conversation with the adorable David Harper! He’s so bright and understatedly funny.
Agree have him back. I know he has tons more to say and more stories for sure.
Dear Judy please thank David for doing another segment and thank you. Like I said I loved David because he is so much like me in a lot of ways. He was my favorite character on the series no offense to you I thought you were the most beautiful and still is😍
My dad used to have me help work on cars, boats or anything with a motor.
I always thought me and Jim Bob were learning at the same time but he wasnt. 🤣
Nice to see my all time favorite guest Lee Purcell in the clip.
😘
Enjoyed your visit with David Harper. I enjoyed his character through the years. I think in my mind that his character changed the most on the show over the years. I enjoy your interviews keep them up.
Hi Judy! I hope you’re having an amazing time on your vacation :) I’m so happy to watch this now! Also happy belated birthday to David ❤️
Love,
Jamie ~ huge Walton’s fan
Great interview enjoyed this
Great video Judy it's nice to see David love these videos for their stories they are special
Love him...
Thanks Judy great seeing Jim Bob ,great to hear the behind the scenes action 🌹
To me this is one of my all time favorite Walton interviews, Thank you Judy. David is so sincere with his answers and so funny. People learning to drive on the show were some of the funniest episodes
I love hearing “… and more with David Harper.” Really enjoy his insights!!
I know a part 3 I can't wait.
Another great interview, 13 minutes and it seemed like 2. I'm thinking the motorcycle scenes were more of a green screen effect and they just shook the motorcycle to make it look like it was being ridden because if you look closely at David not a hair on his head is moving. He also answered a question I asked you quite awhile ago but you weren't sure about which was if David and Kami were close off screen because of their ages and their characters were quite close on the show.
My heart nearly broke when David said he was almost 61. How can this be?? It is unfathomable to me that we are this age already. Thanks Judy and David for these wonderful memories ❤❤
David and I were born almost on the same day. While I cannot speak for David, being 61 isn't anything to be brokenhearted over. Sure, I can't do everything I used to do, but I can do enough that life is still good. Plus, I am so thankful I grew up in the era where the Waltons was one of the top shows and not at a later time where TV and society in general lost its soul. We were young enough to avoid being drafted to Vietnam. Young enough to survive the pandemic. If you had to pick a perfect moment to be born, I'd say David and I hit the jackpot. I know I wouldn't change a thing.
Wow! This was wildly entertaining to listen to. Love these background stories!
Loved the interviews with David!! And looking forward to more!
Hope he comes back at some point
I remember the times seeing David in the Civil War miniseries The Blue and The Gray, then later in Fletch.
Both times my reaction was “Hey! That’s Jim Bob!!”. And I wasn’t alone, as others said it, out loud.
Fun and interesting memories. It would be super great if the old film the kids made was found.
Love all of your posts Judy. This was nice to see. 'Brother and sister chatting'.
thanks David thanks judy. jim bob was a creative character.
What a great interview. David Harper is a delight to listen to.
David,
Thanks for your contribution to a national treasure of a show that has constantly grown on me.
Loved The Waltons and David , you were my favorite❗️ Great acting 😘
Aww that was wonderful, gosh I cant believe he nearly electrocuted himself. Jimbob was so cute when he was young and to see him now as an almost 61 year old makes me feel I've known him all these years as a friend. I think you may still be on your travels so will keep this short. Thanks for the segment and best wishes to you Judy from your waltonian superfan in sunny England😉
I really appreciate David doing this interview with you. Such a treat! It’s wonderful to hear him talk about his time on the show. What I liked about his character was the fact he seem to keep everyone on their toes throughout the series! I do have question for you. Kathleen Hite I know was a writer for your show for awhile, as well as other TV shows. If you did know her, I would be interested in hearing about her from you. Again thanks for taking us fans down memory lane.
I liked this episode a lot. Got to hear some good behind the scenes stuff from David. Glad to hear he survived it. It seemed like he could have been seriously hurt when driving that car. Glad things worked out well nobody hurt. Also, funny to hear about some of the fun stuff they did around the dressing rooms. Glad Kami was able to be there to help occupy the down time and got to have plenty of fun. Thanks
Another delightful segment…Thank you Judy. I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday. ❤❤
Thank you both. This was so wonderful to watch.
Awesome! Another Oct baby😊 David, you make me laugh! I do hope you take time to read all the comments on this and pt 1 to see how your work has affected folks over the many years...and years to come.
David Harper is so Real, I love watching you two talking about your time on the Walton's. This was fun, I really enjoyed it
Wow what a wonderful video! Thank you David for sharing these great stories and thank you Judy for making these videos. I absolutely love them :)
Great to see you two reminiscing together with the details of your work together -- like getting caught up with distant family! I'm hoping that your vacation is awesome!
I read somewhere that David is working on a book about being on the Walton's. Judy, could you find out if that is true for us fans? I would be so happy if it were! Thanks!
He had fun being a pilot on the show on airplanes
Great interview some wonderful memories with David Patrick
I really had fun listening to this. As a farm boy, us kids were always working with dangerous animals and equipment that wasn’t suitable for 10 year old kids to be operating. I would have never imagined that a family friendly television show would have been dangerous at times! Great job as always, Judy! ❤
I didn't realize David was almost 61..you kids, Judy, have just been beautiful preserved! great segment!
It's like being a fly on the wall listening to you two converse about the good old days. Nice to hear your perspectives David. Every detail counts ! We are forever grateful for your efforts in producing these amazing behind the scenes with Judy productions. Mercy bu co 😊
Nice to see that he is still doing well. Hopefully your Columbus Day will be nice.
David is two days younger than me. Great to hear David and Judy talking
Thank you David for the memories, insight and humor. And thank you always, Judy.
Great memories! I can relate to having your parking spot taken. Once, fine. Repeatedly, I would have it moved as well. Even though it was work, it sounds like you guys had some great fun. Thanks again for doing this David!
You guys are still looking great. That was a awesome Show The Great Motorcycle Race. 👍❤️👍
David has a great memory
I enjoy hearing your memories acting together, as The Waltons show gave me memories of my family.
