- Under lockdown at home, Gabriela Montero puts on her favourite strawberry pyjamas and improvises. The session was recorded in one take, and with no musical cuts or edits.
She is giving me LIFE!
Gracias Gabriela, maravillosa como siempre con esas improvisaciones que nos hacen soñar con un mundo mejor donde la música rompe fronteras y une corazones. Muchos besos asturianos y ánimo ¡tú eres fuerte!
Potentially saving lives as lovely music like this encourages people to stay at home to beat the virus.
Love your music, your piano and your PJs in that order. Music is giving me joy in this time of social isolation.
Simplemente bello.. Saludos desde Honduras
This session is a gift to the world, (as always)!
Beaucoup de Grands Concertistes doivent être jaloux et voudraient bien SAVOIR improviser comme cela !!
La vitesse de la pensée est stupéfiante ;ensuite,sa maitrise technique fait le reste !👏👏
Heaven ... thanks for this ...
Awesome improvisations Mrs. Montero!!
There are so few pianists that can improvise in these old classic/romantic styles! Edoardo Brotto is also one of them, I recommend checking him out as well.
All the best!
@Nivek Henle youre ridiculous. Ofc they can be compared, one is more talented than another, thats for sure.
Beautiful improvisations Gabriela. Lockdown has its moments. Delighted to see that you got home from Newcastle. Enjoyed the concert in Newcastle - and in Drogheda!
Gracias Gaby por esas notas tan hermosas
Gracias! 🥰
Bellisimo Gaby! Muchas gracias!
What a delight. Thanks
Ah, oxygen arrives … things like this are the ones that make this turbulent world of today bearable … Just what we need right now … Psychologists recommend not to focus on the coronavirus media frenzy too much (I couldn’t agree more). Watching and listening to Gabriela improvise is definitely much healthier … Some of us count sheep to fall asleep, Gabriela puts her pyjamas and comfortable sleepers on, sits at the piano and improvises musical pieces of the caliber of the greatest musical works ... Dharma, no doubt … 10 beautiful and inspiring poems that stroll themselves through diverse musical styles, like Gabriela always does, leaving our senses in absolute ecstasy, as always … Cute strawberries :)
Wonderful, you could easly make the "10 Klavierstuecke" out of these improvs. I would play them all day long
Magnifique! Merci.
Ingenious.
Tolle Improvi, fabulous way to play the piano...
🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼saludos desde New Jersey!
Teatros tendrán su nombre!
¡Eres genial! La música corre por tus venas, lo que solo ocurre con unos pocos elegidos por Dios...
Have you ever considered transcribing your improvisations? It would be wonderful to be able to play them in concerts.
They are almost too beautiful and it's so hard to believe they are just improvisations... She's really amazing... It makes it more believable that classical/romantic composers were really gifted in these musical languages and were also human and not some gods as we usually imagine them (I Know I do)
I've transcribed many dozens of them :)
@@SamPostPiano The "alma llanera" (played at Mexico) impro and "los pollitos" (played at Venezuela) are my favorites. they are both on youtube
@@SamPostPiano Great work!
Excellent
Pana abrazos desde Tampico, Tamaulipas; México.
