How to Enable 120 FPS & 120hz output in Cod Modern Warfare 2 on PS5 (Fast Tutorial)

Do you want to know how to ENABLE the 120 FPS or the 120 hz output in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on the PS5. You can also do this on the xbox series X. On the PS5, go to settings and then scroll down to screen and video. Now go to 120hz output and set it to automatic. Then go to the main settings menu and go to saved data and game app settings and go to game presets and turn on performance mode!

For anyone having trouble, go to graphics in the COD: MW2 settings and under "View" turn on 120 HZ REFRESH RATE.

I have a BenQ 144hz 1080p monitor. 120hz mode works perfectly on my Series X but on PS5 despite enabling 120hz output and performance mode, it still doesnt let me turn on 120hz in game

If you don't have a hdmi 2.1 then yes in order to run higher fps your quality will drop

Mine just started working turn on performance mode the I set hdr only on when supported and restarted and it worked I think hdr setting messed it up

Yeah so I’m having a problem I’m on PS five I’m on a monitor that supports 120. This actually goes to 170 so I’m not understanding why endgame it’s locked but in regular settings when I’m not in the game it’s not locked.😢

Because lobby doesn’t require rendering that much and it’s stable, But when I game it has to render the map, Movement other players and more and it’s also a console so don’t expect for it to have stable fps we’re still new into this whole 120 refresh rate world, It’ll get better as years go by and there’s new tech.

I think you gotta go into your tv setting and whatever video output you have the hdmi plugged into you gotta enable it on your tv it gonna show you like hdmi 1. HDMI 2 hdmi 3 and whatever one you have yours plugged into you gotta enable it. I dunno if I explained that the right way

You know when you click on source it shows different hdmi plug in like hdmi 1 2 3 4 and then you go into your tv settings find the option I forgot what’s it called I’m sure you’ll find it and whatever number you have your hdmi connected to it will show you in your tv settings and then you gotta enable it I’m sure you’ll find it on your tv settings

@@gbeanz3636 the game was the problem. I bought the ps4 version of COD MW2 which is upgradable but can't play it in 4k 120hz. I tried other games and the 120hz worked perfectly.
