got it for 70 on target i dont like plastic figures but i could not beat the price it my only non g1 figure might give it to my son i really wanted magnus
GREAT PRICE! My targets were sold out by the time I saw he was listed. I've never seen the Ultra Magnus in the wild and would love to give it a go TBH. All of my mainline figures go to my son, he loves them. Thank you for watching!
3:00 Well damn, I needed 1 more matrix of leadership to complete the coffee table I’m making with them and the many others I have simply won’t suffice JK in all seriousness, mine is coming the beginning of November and I couldn’t have been more excited. He looks like he jumped right out of the TV screen like Kremzeek. 1 minor nitpick I have is that I wish they painted the matrix chamber grey or silver and of course I agree that the loose smokestacks can be an issue but overall Hasbro/Takara really nailed this figure. Despite him being miles ahead of Earthrise Prime, I’m still gonna keep my Earthrise figure due to sentimental value.
Yea some premium paint work on that matrix chamber would have made a big difference. For what Hasbro is offering this is a homerun, I still feel an ab crunch, double hinge at the elbows, the ability to look up, and individual hip skirts would have made this the definitive Prime. I'm keeping earth rise as well, but this figure blows it out of the water. Thank you for watching!
@@billythekidsnobstoyreviews I know you said earlier in the video that you mostly focus on 3rd party figures, but I also recommend checking out Missing Link C-01 Convoy by TakaraTomy. Basically it’s a remake of the original G1 Optimus Prime toy from the 1980’s but with modern articulation and engineering. While it may not be as articulated as current mainline, masterpiece, and 3rd party figures, it still makes the original G1 toy and its design much more articulated than ever before. It even has ab crunches, something that this SS86 figure unfortunately doesn’t have. I’m not sure if you grew up in the 80s with the original G1 transformers at the time but if you did then I think this figure might be worth exploring.
Pretty good for a mainline figure _but_ - at that price, you may as well pick up Magic Square's Light of Peace. No trailer, but otherwise superior to MP-44
@@DrTeeth66 so I am 100% on board with that, MS light of victory is my all time favorite Optimus prime. However I wouldn’t be honest if I didn’t let the viewers know this is the best offering Hasbro has put out in regards to Optimus prime, if this guy had an ab crunch, double hinged elbows, and a head that could move up this would be the a damn near perfect figure
@@billythekidsnobstoyreviews My only real problem with this Prime is the windows; I dislike the light blue opaque solution they went with. But Toyhax can remedy that complaint - I think it would look _great_ with some cel-shaded stickers. Anyway, all the best - see you on the next vid BIlly!

The front hip skirts are actually separate pieces, they're just on the same pin so they like to move together.
