Your right, these are investments. I used to spend 60 bucks every couple months until i bought a quality pair and theyve lasted me 3 years. Overall I saved money and probably avoided some hand injuries.
on the synthetic leather it’s because winning gloves when new have a sheen due to the leather conditioner and use real leather however however the headgear and groin guard use a synthetic leather but a really good one
he means maybe if you’re not gonna be doing it for a long time you know ? I think winnings are for anyone bro no matter what even better for beginners because you might not be used to hitting bags or anything and the winnings have the best support on both knuckles and wrist so I’ll say they’re perfect beginner gloves for a person that wants to do it for a long time you know ?

I have had 2 pair s of Powerlock, The 18 & 16oz both in laceup. Theyre great gloves that are in between a Protective glove and a "Punchers style glove". If you take care of the gloves(Air out and regular maintencance) they can last up to 1.5 years if not a little longer.

hi pj. nice vid. honestly these are overkill for the likes of me. my dad and i do boxing training for self defense purposes only, not for competition. i do some bag work, mitts, and spar. the gloves i usually use are 12 oz but i need new gloves because the inside stitching of my old gloves ripped and because hitting the heavy bag even with wraps + 12oz gloves kinda hurts my knuckles so i was wondering if i should get 14oz or 16oz gloves, i'd use it for mitts, sparring, and bag work. i was thinking of getting the venum impact gloves. also i'm 5'7 1/2 and 158 lbs
Im debating getting the 14 oz vs 16oz. I prefer my gloves to have a more compact feel for stringing together combinations. And I heard there's a pretty noticeable difference in size between the two. I hear winnings padding is thicker than other brands and that's why I was debating on getting 14oz for sparring only. Would you think it would be acceptable in pro gyms to spar in they're 14 oz gloves?
I know you asked if it would be acceptable in pro gyms, but my gym only spars with 16 oz gloves UNLESS you are preparing for a fight. The heavier weight protects yourself and your partners!
I use the 14's, they're far more protective than other brands 16 and even 18, as I've compared other sparring partners gloves. A knowledgeable gym shouldn't have a problem with you using them imo
