Ike was killed in Northern Arizona following a stage robbery, by the lawman tracking him. Virgil became the Constable of Colton, California in 1884; then the first Marshal of Colton, in 1886; then was nominated for sheriff of Yavapai County, Arizona in 1900. Then was appointed a deputy sheriff in Goldfield Nevada in 1904.

O remember watching the encode western Channel when we first got satellite with my dad.
I don't know of they still do these or not, but then, they did these true west bits in between shows with Bob boze bell.
Qt one point, he talked about how Virgil arm was useless due to a piece of the bone being missing from the wound at the ok corral.
He ended up freaking out a deputy after joining a posse due to his arm flapping around at odd angles because of the missing bone piece.

I have no idea why this movie gets so much praise. The dialogue was horrendous aside from some of Val Kilmer's lines, the writing was cringeworthy, and the movie was so rife with plot holes and continuity issues I couldn't even take it seriously half of the time. 3: 10 To Yuma, True Grit, and ANY Clint Eastwood western are quite literally stratospherically better than Tombstone, including in the soundtrack department.

@@deece1482 In this case they are. Their critiques regarding this film are well-warranted and easily observable for anyone who isn't blinded by fanboyism and nostalgia. The acting, editing, and script of Tombstone is subpar in every way. The only claim to fame this movie has is its so-called "ensemble cast". It really has no objective strengths to speak of at all. The music is almost as bad as the movie itself. No idea why Tombstone gets the kind of praise that it gets. It isn't a good western at all, and it's a below average film at best with stale cliche dialogue, uninteresting characters (aside from Val Kilmer), and an amateurish plot line filled to the brim with continuity issues. The soundtrack was no better and sounded like something out of a James Cameron Titanic. You want a real western theme? Listen to The Dollars Trilogy or 3: 10 to Yuma.

everyone has their own opinions. I personally think it’s an awesome movie, showcasing the life and death of Wyatt Earp, and the disbandment of the Cochise County Cowboys (aside from the red sashes, not accurate). Plus, it had Bill Paxton (also in Titanic).

    • @Dagger_323

@@AmericanF-16 the movie is objectively terrible. The continuity issues are everywhere, the dialogue is atrocious, and the writing and directing is utterly amateurish at best.
