Ive been following you for a few months now. Our family just started breeding Australian Shepherds. Your channel has been an incredibly valuable resource to us. It's taken the guess work out of very specific questions that we had that we couldn't find the answers to in other places. Your topic specific videos regarding things like puppy mash, litter box training, budget whelping boxes, etc. have been spot on for passing along information. Thank you! ❤️🐶
Hey man I really appreciate all of the information in these Videos. Keep them coming. I recently got a male golden we have had him about a year. And now have two females one a year old and the other nine months. We absolutely love our dogs and you’ve been a great help. Can’t wait to see your setup. God Bless.
There will be times when they don’t sell well for whatever reasons. Most breeders lower their price some to get the last few out to good homes. Sometimes you just have to be patient. I gave one away to a family member one time and someone called wanting to buy one that same day lol. You may want to watch my video about marketing puppies. How can I get a dog with breeding right I’m trying to start breeding a Bernedoodles but I can’t find a breeder who wants to sale a dog with breeding rights
Hi I like your videos. I want to be a breeder I have a four-year-old long-haired blonde dachshund Male I love this dog amazing dog very smart very very kind to my kids four years old and 15 month old. I would like to breed him so I was thinking about buying a female and dachshund may be a little bit darker than what he is. Five weeks old right now I know I have to wait about two years to breed is that OK
That’s sounds fine to me. The male will still be fine to breed at 6 years. I would check with my vet just to be sure you’re on the right track. You may not have to wait 2 years for a dachshund female.
Hey man. I plan on breeding my male and female golden retrievers. What would be a good price point to start at? Also my male is akc and female is ckc, will it hurt my business that my puppies will be ckc registered
I would do some research on puppies.com and see what price points other sellers have similar dogs selling for. Be middle of the road on price and you should be fine. Will CKC registrations hurt your business? I honestly don’t know. I would imagine it depends on your market. If you are selling to breeders it will matter. In the family pet market probably not so much. I made a video on marketing puppies you might want to watch. Here’s a link to it: ruclips.net/video/TwZRh4xGSKE/видео.html

@@must_love_labs ok this is AMAZING. So i poked around the site and I’m LOST. Is it too much to ask for a video on which ones you need? Like a base starter if you will. I clicked the diseases tab and it just says “Test 1, Test 2” and so on. FIRST TIMER for all of this. My dam is 4 months old so I’d like to have everything i need mapped out on a calendar for what and when i need to do A,B,C,D. Hope that makes sense! Thank you so much!!

Most likely they will. Do you know their exact genetics? This chart is helpful if you do. mapleleafvet.com/cms/wp-content/uploads/chocolate-x-chocolate1.png
Thanks for responding. I haven't gotten them yet. This is all part of a 2yr plan. We are moving next summer. Either buying local or moving to the woods....haven't decided yet. Our plan is to open a kennel/puppy day care. Also plan on raising Labs. 2-3 Females and 1 Male. I grew up on a farm and had a dog kennel my whole childhood. We raised AKC American Eskimo Spitz. 3 Females 1 Male. Just doing all my homework and planning first.
That sounds like a great plan! I’m excited for you! I’m going to make an assumption that you’re in the lower 48. If you check with your state department of agriculture, their website. There will be rules there for doing what it is you want to do. Licensing information space requirements etc. That’s a great place to start if you haven’t already. 👍
Thank you. Yes I'm in Pennsylvania. Laurel Highlands Mountains. Thinking about moving up to Allegheny National Forest. Its a wonderful beautiful place! We vacation there about 4 times a year.....so why not just make it permenant? Lol Look up Cook Forest PA if you get a chance.

Must Love Labs Also has there ever been a time where you couldn’t sell your puppies? If so what would you do try selling them at a discount.

You can do dna test to know the parentage …
So if I have a Chocolate Male and a Chocolate Female.....they won't have Chocolate Puppies?

Not true..You can do a dual sire breeding..You will have to get the litter and both sires DNA tested to find who the father is for each pup.
