Dog breeder here. This man is genuine and gives good advice, reminds me of my father a lot Professional Dog breeding has been in my family for 30 years, I was raised on it, it was all I knew. So when my father died, I had an empire already built FOR me. all the proper kennels and funding and experience, never knew what I wanted to do with my life. Dog training and breeding was the only thing I was ever any good at, and I enjoyed it so I stuck to it I’m a second generation breeder so it was easy for me to take on gun dogs and hunting dogs from the start But for someone, who is starting from the bottom up? I’d recommend healthy family dogs. That’s what my father did, Cocker spaniels, Maltese or Shitzus. Something simple. Doesn’t mean you’re gonna stuck with that breed forever with it forever but it’s a good damn start Always register your dogs, have papers, most people don’t start off either purebreds so if you wanna cross breed fine just make sure you do your research and best of luck Only downside of breeding is it’s a 24/7 job, you’re at home? You’re at work, it’s mentally taxing. High suicide rates. You have to be smart with money too, it doenst pay often, you get a big sum maybe a few times of year and you gotta make that last

How do you ween them off the litter and have them use outside. Especially at night?

I train my pups to the doggie door by 4 weeks old. Nothing worse than scraping puppy poo.

She had Parvo 5 days after my purchase. 1,300 dollars later, she survived this deadly disease, thank God. Learned my lesson the hard way. I asked the Vet what age I could breed her he said 1yr is ok. WRONG!!!. Learn my lesson she's not good with the litter. Take this guy's advice.

This is very helpful! We are considering having a litter of Aussie pups with my dog , we just lost our old girl and want to keep a puppy as our next companion when we are ready. Trying to learn all I can so we can make the best decision, I’ve always wanted to have a dog have puppies. I’ve fostered kittens and always had animals, I’m hoping we are up for the challenge! 😊

Ive heard some breeders allow home visits and others prefer meeting in a public area what are your thoughts and opinions on that? Are you familiar with gooddog and if so do you use it to advertise? Omg thank you so much for this awesome video! I tried your scent training tip and it totally worked on my 10 weeks old Maltipoo puppy. I brought her home on a Friday and after quite a few accidents (her not wanting to get into the litter box mainly), I added the pee pad with her urine on it and now she figured to go on the litter box all on her own! This is soo perfect for a small breed dog. Thank you again!

Hi, I just went into your channel. Just discovered it. And thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and information. But my question is I would love to become a breeder. This will be my first time I've had dogs before growing up. What I would like to know is since you say you're better off starting off with a female. I want to know how would I know from the breeder that I buy it from if I'm okay if it's okay for me to breed that dog, I don't understand really how that would work if most of them are saying that some dogs shouldn't not be used for breedind do I have to explain to the breeder that I'm buying the puppy from for the first time that I plan on breeding? I'm not sure how that works.
