Excellent presentation N-SPKT. I bought it immediately when it came out on the market. Invaluable tutorial. I will take it for a few flights over the Mediterranean. For the moment I have the free PMS50 GTN 750 and I think I'm good to go 😃Cheers from Sydney, Australia - your subscriber Nick.
Thanks for your videos and efforts to share your adventures with us. In one of your videos I saw your home cockpit. Do all your saitek /logitech panels work with this analog Baron? Say hello and a big hug to Sprocket. Best regards, Eric
Interesting. Thanks. But the pressurized and turbo Barons have rather different nacelles than the normally asperated versions. The air scoop is on the side, not the top, and the holes in the front are different, too. Also, the forward fuselage of the pressurized version has domehead rather than flush rivets. I understand that this mod only deals with the interior and systems but there are quite noticeable physical eternal differences. So buyers need to be aware of this IMHO.
Totally agree and also think it is a let down that you have to have the premium or deluxe version just to use this as well. I really am not sure on their reasoning behind making it a complete aircraft because everything but the exterior model is top notch! Plus you can’t purchase it on the marketplace so it is not like they had a deal with Microsoft. But it does fly EXTREMELY well and the way the engine failures and performance can change with usage is such a wonderful feature that it’s still worth it to me. Just wish, like you, the exterior matched. It would also be nice to have more cockpit features like opening doors and windows, and other exterior static elements.
Totally agree in relation to the " restrictions" on purchasing this great add-on I think they have at the very least reduced their customer potential nevermind anything else ....real shame.
This was the most informative video on the Black Square Baron that I’ve found! Can or did you do one on setting up an instrument or rnav approach with the GTN750?
Thanks! That means a lot as there a few videos out there. I haven’t done one specifically for the GTN750 but the steps will be similar to others. Chose your approach using the procedure section. Select the RNAV you want to use. Activate it and then make sure your cdi is on GPS and you are at or below the constraint for the glideslipe as well as making sure your autopilot is set to approach mode on final. I want to make an in-depth video on the GTN750 but I keep pushing it off as it just has soooo many features it is hard to fit it all in.
@@sprocketsimulations That’s great thanks! I suppose I’ve been doing it that way but sometimes it doesn’t capture it. I’m trying to use Pilot2ATC with SimBrief and Navigraph to save and then import/load in FS to then talk to atc. The extensions for saving and exporting are all different (proprietary) and it’s difficult to know what’s recognized by who eg) .pln .flt and many others…very confusing.
When importing from simbrief to pilot2atc make sure you do not have any approach/Sid/star in the route as ATC will assign you those. Just have your departure enroute waypoints and arrival. Once you get your instructions from atc you can add them in the gtn750. This would be how it is done IRL. You can sort of guess which ones you are going to be using/assigned but sometimes they throw you for a loop.
I really enjoyed your video! Just a quick question/observation: I think you are supposed to have the two alternators turned off when you start the engines? For instance, start right engine, turn on right alternator, then start left engine, turn on left alternator. Thank you!
According to the POH provided from blacksquare and what I have seen elsewhere the steps for before engine start is to have them both on. Most aircraft you wouldn’t but this one you do.

I bought it but almost nothing works in my cockpit, engine 2 does not want to start and when it does it runs irregularly, the AP does not work on the Lochitec device and so on, for me a bad model and a waste of money
Strange, this is well known to be one of the better aircraft out there. I also an entirely Logitech setup and have zero issues with the functionality. My best suggestion is to remove everything from your community folder, just to a temp directory, and leave only what is installed by this. Double check your keybinds to make sure they are correct and not using 3rd party software as it is not needed. Basically, dial it all back to have only this aircraft and basic Logitech controls. See if it works, if it does then you know something else you have is causing a conflict. It’s definitely not from the developers side of this aircraft as it does work very very well. I’m sure something on your system/sim is messing with it. I can assure you it does work and is a great aircraft. Make sure to follow the manual very strictly as it is a very realistic model with accurate procedures, failures, and issues. Good luck.
Wouldn’t that be amazing! There is a really good mod for the Beech 18 that incorporates new sounds, flight model, and some limited failures. It is free on flightsim.to.
You lost a percent on each engine because you let the cylinder head temps cool too fast as you were shutting down. I seen -70+ CLD blinking just as you "clicked" off the battery. lol You might get away with being in the -60's briefly but when you get down to over -70, you'll start losing percents.
Thanks! That is what is fun about this aircraft is learning all these little things. Appreciate you commenting on it! I made a few other newbie errors that weren’t detrimental to the engine but my flow wasn’t perfect. Great to have an aircraft with this much to really focus on. It is rewarding to look after it. With an element of surprise if there is a failure. Cheers!!
This is on the ultra preset with DX11. If you are using DX12 and DLSS or RSR it will generally look worse as those are downscaling your textures/resolution to try and increase FPS. Plus DX12 is still in beta and has some texture loading issues. These are both 3rd party airports so they have more detail but I do not run anything to alter the graphics.
Only Black Square flying is real flying! :) The EDM piston leaning instrument alone is a pure masterpiece, simulated to 100% detail.
What an informative and enjoyable video. I was engaged during the whole flight. Thanks so much for the effort..
Thanks so much for your kind words and watching! Appreciate it!
Well said!
You make it look easy!
Thanks! That aircraft is a joy to fly so I’ll give it the credit of making it look easy!
Thx for the video I recently went Black Square in the Baron. Appreciate it! Helps alot
Love it ! Yeah :) Thx for sharing PS. I've got all the Black Square Analogue super duper aircrafts, worth the money
That’s awesome! Definitely worth the money. Which one is your favorite?

Thanks! And thanks for watching and subscribing! Have fun around the Med! Cheers from Colorado!
Points from me for turning on the panel lights - so many video with dark panels. Thanks

Thanks for watching! Yes the panels worked fine with this.
Sprocket says woooof!

What cockpit camera controls are you using? I typically use an Xbox controller for the camera controls but your navigation seems a lot more precise!
This is using TrackIR and is a great option if you do not want to go into full VR.
The GTN 750 can show you TAS in the utilities section
Nice! I’ll look for that. I also love the calculator in the gns530 to find it if there is not one on the airspeed indicator. Thanks for watching!
Just realized I didn’t have the latest version and that was missing! Thanks for the heads up!!

@@sprocketsimulations Got it, thanks. I am still learning so I appreciate this info.
Thanks for watching and chatting! Appreciate it!
Do you use trackIR or Tobii ? Seems very smooth
TrackIR. Highly recommend it. I use the IR clip vs the hat clip. Tuning your settings is key to getting it smooth and how you want it to act.
are those airport gtx750 charts free or do you need navigrapth ?
You need a navigraph subscription.
Where can you find this airplane? It's not on the marketplace, and I couldn't find it online

@@sprocketsimulations I just downloaded it! Thank You!!
Great! Enjoy!
Whoa where do you download this?
You can purchase it from JustFlight or I think it is on SimMarket. It is not in the in game marketplace.
@@sprocketsimulations oh ok thanks man!
Hello, where can I download it?
SimMarket has it. It is not on the Marketplace.

we need a black square DC-3 🤣

You should have landed at Barra Airport which has the shortest runway because it doesn't have one haha
Yeah it's a beach! :)

How do you get msfs2020 to look so graphically realistic?
This is on the ultra preset with DX11. If you are using DX12 and DLSS or RSR it will generally look worse as those are downscaling your textures/resolution to try and increase FPS. Plus DX12 is still in beta and has some texture loading issues.
These are both 3rd party airports so they have more detail but I do not run anything to alter the graphics.
Actually the Outer Skerries is a default airport/island that launched with a world update a while back.
