- This 45 minute barbell workout can be done at home or in the gym and only requires a barbell and plates.
This is a full body workout starting with a 5min barbell complex warm up before moving on to three separate sections. Section A starts with large compound barbell exercises, before moving towards more barbell isolation exercises in the later rounds with lighter weights.

Hey Tom, just finished this workout for the first time. I just got cured from malaria, lost about 10 kgs. Stopped working out for over 6 months prior to that. Today was my first workout since and this routine was an absolute blast to complete. Great video!

This one is great. I will say that if anyone has thoracic back issues, be very careful with technique (it needs to be perfect).Also, with the reverse lunges make sure your knee touches the floor (your back will thank you). Afterwards, do thoracic back recovery stretches and strengthening. It’s a nice way to manage if you can’t afford to have it looked at. Thanks again Tom, you are definitely the barbell guy. Top content as always. Be blessed. Hope you don’t mind me adding my two cents. I see a lot of of focus on the low back which is important but that thoracic part is sneaky. I have had to get creative and tactical to get through various workouts. So far so good 😂 Take care
Thanks, yes many Barbells exercises are challenging of T-spine. I have some workouts that mix Dumbbells in alongside the Barbell which can take a bit of emphasis off that area.

I don't have access to a gym, and my equipment at home is very limited, basically consisting of a barbell. However, your barbell workouts have added an amazing versatility to my training, as though I had bought a whole gym. Thanks for that, saludos de Mexico, amigo.
That’s awesome, yes you don’t need a lot of equipment for some great workouts. Keep it up & get your hands on a pair of Dumbbells to go with the barbell if possible also 👍💪🏼

Nice workouts, did section 1 and 2 with 95lb and then scaled 3 down to 75lb. I like the longer follow alongs.
Good work, that’s a little heavier than I used in this workout. Will be doing more longer follow alongs 👌
Shaking it up a bit from the landmine routines. This was a killer Tom😅. Got my lower back a bit had to rest on one of the bent over row sets. Earned my day off tomorrow now merry Christmas
Ye I often break up the bent over row sets with a rest in middle or wear a lifting belt for the routine. 👍

The strength one I have on barbells playlist has a nice relaxed pace but still challenging with using heavier % weights.

Definitely, if you combine it good nutrition. I probably do 2 of this style of workout/week but also mix in some more reps and sets strength workouts. I have a barbell E-book linked in description with more of a rep/sets style plan if you’re interested in trying those out also 💪🏼

Hi, it's great workout. I am from India. Please tell me what is the ideal weight to start. I am 55 and weigh 69 kilo. 167 cm tall.
Very hard to tell without seeing you train. Maybe try 20kg (44lb) to start off with and adjust from there depending how it feels

Love this. But 30s rest time is too less to recover. I rest 2/4 min between each exercise for minimum.
Thanks, try it with a little less weight or check out my barbell strength workout in barbells playlist as that has a bit longer rests.

Yes but I’m using a 10kg shorter bar.
@@TomPetoTraining ah that's why I got confused. They look very thin for bumper plates. Where did you get them?
@@justintemp it’s a rogue bar and they are just cheapish 5kg bodymax plates. I’ve put a few links in description of some companies that sell some reasonable priced bumper plates if you’re looking to get some more.
