I have a CNC plasma table on order and your videos are a large part of the reason I bought one, Matt. Just too many brackets and such to build for project cars like yours and mine to not have one.
Awesome 👍🏽😀 I remember back in the day in New Zealand a few Vauxhall Victor had V8s put into them flared guards mag's wheels or widened rim's some looked really good some where over kill 😀👍🏽 to get a ruff body here now is stupid money then you still got to fix it
I love these videos, really cool fabrications ---- Where did you get the big magnetic clamp on your 3rd hand? I've got some of the smaller ones but they are a bit light for bigger work
Most modern batteries have small plug in side where you push in a vent tube and just drill and grommet a small hole in boot floor. Job done. Nice neat fabrication job 👍👍
I got a thermal arc fabricator 250 transformer welder but thinking of getting a lincoln inverter welder- would you say they are any good - is it worth the switch?
How incredibly nice it became, and so simple, it did not take long before it was finished. see that stores charge a lot of money for true, which is not near as great as this one was. 👍🏻
Love what you do but I would not fit a lion battery to a lawn mower they are crap we used to use them but had so many fail most aftermarket battery's last about three to five years these fail as soon as the warranty date passes.
Obviously not a huge thing for someone with your skills, but if I made something like that, the battery would fail a month later and the replacement battery would be a different size...
Very good bit of kit but sadly the battery trays on top of the bluck head. Rust away badly again cool battery box for the boot all DTV Chevettes rally cars were moved into the boot cherrs
Did you just secure a battery with rubber well nuts? Come on, you can do better than that. Rivnuts at very least but you have a lathe to make some threaded bushes too
@@Urchfab What's the black bit that goes in before the strap goes on? Looks like a well nut and you appear to have some sort of captive thread while doing the nearside fastener up so doesn't look like you used a through bolt and loose nut
It would be really nice to have a talk through the e machine stuff as your doing it.

Action speaks louder than words!!!
Very nice mate👍👍👍👍👍👍
Not only highly proficient in plasma table cutting but also an excellent mime artist as well 😂😂.
The age of silent films has returned lol. Well done mate. LOVE what you power your chevelle with !! 😂😂😂
Chevette*
Nice work. Actions are louder than words.
Came to the comments to say the same thing! 👍👍
Job done! Excellent video Matt, quality work. (A man of few words - say no more!)
Cheers Trevor

Lovely job. Thanks for the lesson!
Superb job, lov.e that CNC and the cut to bend on then wed them up ... very nice.
Nice work Matt....that all fits together...like a glove!!
Brilliant. Thank you!
Super lightweight battery box, aluminum with speed holes!
I love NO BS silent films.
Fanbloodytastic Matt made to measure you’ve got the job 👍👨🏻🏭
Yup, your fecking good👌 sweet wee project 👍
love what it says on that boot ;0
Great job and looks spiffing.....maybe a few holes in the tray👍🇬🇧
Sehr schöne Arbeit. !!
Best vid ever no talk made my fucking day, Mal from Aus love the channel.
Otimo trabalho, tenho que fazer no meu corsa.
Like a glove 👍
Took the words right out my mouth! Already!!
Lovely job 👍
Nice on Matt :) could of done with something like that or the rig I'm building at work.
Great video 👍It will impress the Mot tester will need drain Hole's.
How many times did you have to trim the mat before you could just through it in like that first go?
If he measured it why would he need to trim it lol
Not that many.
Anyone else see the mini? Great work.
i will take the ads and support the VETS
Is that a new welder?
No just on loan for a big job I had in.
I love these videos, really cool fabrications ---- Where did you get the big magnetic clamp on your 3rd hand? I've got some of the smaller ones but they are a bit light for bigger work
Its from www.inverterfusion.co.uk/ use Urchfab code and get yourself a discount on one. Cheers
nice job on the battery carrier but i prefer the box type for safety reasons and you need to vent it to get rid of fumes might fail the mot there

Top job...😎❤️❤️
hi nice work looking very good
Would you think about making battery trays for standard under the bonnet you would make a fortune maybe worth thinking about
I never mind listening to you talk, but these videos where you just let the work do the talking are especially bad ass mate.
👍
what metal is it ?
I got a thermal arc fabricator 250 transformer welder but thinking of getting a lincoln inverter welder- would you say they are any good - is it worth the switch?
Its top notch kit mate, love mine.

Seeing the plate warp when you're plasma cutting it. Does the xtreme plasma have torch height control?
Sure does.
Awesome ✌🏻
Yyyylikeeee a gloveeee!
exit music should have kicked in when you slammed the boot shut!

Sweet.

I thought exactly that as soon as I finished it.
Nice job but you should of got a varley redtop battery. Lighter and sealed
Just using what I have here to keep costs down.
@@Urchfab Did you see my email about possibly boring out some brake discs on lathe?
@@stuarthoffman1633 He never replies to e-mails...
Correct. It makes much more sense (and would not take as much space).
👍👌
Great video. Thx for sharing the computer working scenes. #cadisfun. Battery box design is dope. Mahalo! 🙂🐒
Cheers
Boom.
I’d love one of those for my civic track car. Would you be interested in doing one for me?
we dont see many in NZ any more,,,bit fr to send one though
Would you ever make these to sell?
Very good bit of kit but sadly the battery trays on top of the bluck head. Rust away badly again cool battery box for the boot all DTV Chevettes rally cars were moved into the boot cherrs
Wizard
There Chevy Chevette’s are cooler looking than ours
Did I see what I think I saw?
are you attached to the chevette ? maybe a good give away?
I am but it could end up being raffled off to fund the next build.
Since NOT winning the plasma cutting machine recently when I see anyone else using a plasma cutting machine I regard it as cheating...B-)

Looks really nice, shame it will be eaten alive by the acid that the piss poor Lion battery will spew all over it.

You'll be replacing that Lion battery in about a year, maybe 18 months mate! Sorry but they are cheap for a reason... they are crap.
Oh
@@Urchfab I’m on my second in just over 2 years 😬 luckily from euro they have a 3 year guarantee soo keep the receipt safe 😉😂
