Tyre pressures indeed :) You had a chance to adjust them in the pitlane @9:00. If your rears are at 26.4 when hot you just need to give that tyre 6 clicks up so they'll be 27 when hot. Just need to think and remember the hot pressures when you enter pits or go to setup. Also give front brake duct 1 click up. Good racing. You can cut more at the last chicane. Just make sure at least 2 tyres are within that red line from the italian flag on near the curbs and use as much track as allowed, experiment with that in during outlaps or so. Cheers!
In certain races there is a required fuel stop or tyre change. 1 set of tyres is good for a 1 hour race; so changing them within an hour when you don't have to will lose you time.
Yea I tried to adjust them and pressed all the wrong buttons! I have a new wheel and better button layout for this week and its already been more successful. Getting there slowly haha.
The thing with the ferrari in acc, is that it's one pf the fastest cars for hotlapping, it's safe to drive, has the best fuel economy, and good tyre wear. But it comes at the cost of very bad straightline speed. Overtaking with it in a race is very hard. It almost needs a big mistake from the driver ahead. Good race, was enjoyable to watch!
I am really finding that a lot recently. It has no main strength, just pretty good everywhere. No doubt that in itself is a big help, but I find I have nothing to fight with when close to other drivers. I think we are not far away from trying a different car.
@@BradleySettersMotorsport it's my weapon of choice, too. It kind of works out for me, as I'm not so great at overtaking, but it's a great car to sit in the mirrors and force the driver in front into a mistake.
Great video, as usual. I raced GT3’s at Imola last week, my lap times are not as quick as yours, but only a couple of seconds slower. Usually your times are a lot better than mine, maybe I’m improving. Keep up the great work.
@BradleySettersMotorsport You are doing a great job of racing and also running your RUclips channel, must be a full time job. Great to hear an accent from a bit closer to home, I'm in Australia. Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing your next video.
Hi Bradley, always great to watch your progress - really impressive! I really like your cautious approach - avoiding stupid contacts. This is Pro style, not the typical beginner. Amazing! Anyway I want to point your attention to something else - your "footwork". For the beginning - I am not a Pro, not a real racer and not an expert! Just my oppinion, ok? Took a look on your pedal indicator and there is one thin interesting for me. On throttle you make a real good job, relying on TCS. You do the same thing on ABS, but I think, you are losing time here. Imagine your car as a 19th century stroller with big wheels and soft springs. You jump on the brakes, 100%, relying on ABS. But when releasing the brakes, ABS does not help. Hard brake release makes your car "jump in the air" like the mentioned old stroller. Losing contact to the street, or at least losing downforce. Making your car somewhat twitchy in apex, causing you to "wait" for acceleration, unless the car has stabilized. Hope you can somehow understand what I mean, as my english is far from being perfect *g* A smoother release of brake would stabilize your car and give you a benefit in acceleration. This is what I would recommend you for testing. Maybe I am wrong! I was always a really bad qualifier. Pushing a car to 100% was always a problem for me. In any race I was faster then in qualy. Stupid, I know. But getting into a "rythm" you may only during a race, and this was always my personal strength, killing nerves of all my buddies *g* Anyway - just my thoughts! Keep up the good work!
Hey Roy! Yes I can picture what you are describing. I think the bad habit I have is trying to make time by braking harder and later, particularly in qualifying. And while you can get 100% into the brakes in ACC, it does then limit your ability to release the brake more naturally as you are more or less already at the corner. But in a race you are more relaxed and smooth and its makes you faster haha. It is something I chatted with a driving coach about recently, and we are going to work on refining it a little later down the track. Right now my use of the track is the work on, really using all of the available track limits to find some more speed. But its nice to know there is more time to be found in areas of my driving.
Well, it was a pity for me having that SG30 for exceeding the speed limit just with you in my back. It is so bumpy at pitstop entry and there it was... About 6-7km/h too fast... And it was expensive: 100 ELO loss in that race instead of gaining maybe about 60. But I made 100 overall in that week - so no need to cry. Mistakes are there to be made! I appreciate your effort and I am looking forward in seeing you in Silverstone! Cheers!
Its just being cautious and indecisive into that turn with the two cars in front. I do it all the time without realising, but better safe then sorry in most cases.
Do you run manual pit stops (I.e. turning engine off and on yourself) or do you let the game do it, couldn’t tell cause of the overlay you have on but you can easily gain 3-5 secs on people who don’t do it but I’d assume most do. Also It’s tricky but instead of adjusting pressures in pitlane try to do it on a straight it’s hard to divert your focus even for a split second but avoids tripping over it in the pitlane, also use the bonnet camera view when you enter the pitlane and your pit box much easier to line car up in the red square and one thing I practice is my pit entry cause you can gain time there and if you’re worried about hitting car in front when you enter pit can also position your car slightly to left or right of car in front when you brake for pitlane (doesn’t apply to some tracks cause pitlane is very tight). Good racing though, slight touches but that’s gt3
Thank you! Yea for this race it is still auto everything, and yes it loses a lot of time. New wheel set up for this week, and already seen a big chunk of time saving! I think I will start using bonnet cam as well. I know some people don't think its pure enough, but the overlay I use shows the pit box as well so I'm not doing it 'properly' anyway haha.
@@BradleySettersMotorsport haha yeah I remember when I first started I was like “no im going to drive in the pit properly” then I lost my first win by doing cause I overshot the box and from that point onwards always used bonnet camera. I feel like irl it would actually be easier to line the car up in front of the sign but I think most people that watch you would be fine with you using bonnet camera cause everyone uses it and the people that don’t probably just play against ai
Umm depends on how comfortable I feel. I first do some laps in single player, but then jump into the LFM practice server. I find the server is correct for the BOP, and therefore the times are a better indicator. But also I like to follow some of the faster drivers and it always results in finding solid time on a couple of corners. Time wise its probably up to a couple of hours at the moment. Although sometimes that's the first time I have driven that track in the game, so there is a lot to learn.
"mom, i'm on TV" :) as i already told you in LFM chat, just invest some time training pitstops it will help immensely. tire pressures - you are using ACC drive, just use telemetry tab and look at the average pressures of one of your fastest laps, i usually aim to have them at 26.9 average, in this case i don't have issues with pressures during the race. p.s. i don't think ferrari works really well on this track :)

one question. would it worth if he wouldn't change his tyres and gain some time?

Another great video with some good racing in it!
Thank you once again! Slowly working into the race craft, and this was a fun one for that.

Nearly 1.5k subs now mate great to see!
Still blows me away. Grateful for everyone!
Amazing to see how well you are doing!
Thank you! Still have so much to learn though haha.
m8 to be getting these times straight away , thats talent . Keep going love watching your progress!
Thank you again mate! I'm really trying to apply myself each time I am in the sim. I am pretty motivated at the moment!
As always amazing racing
As always, you are too kind. Thank you!
7:07 You missed the pink Lambo spinning out behind you. ☺️
Did I not mention it briefly? I'm sure I did haha
@ ah, maybe I missed it. 😅
I've never seen someone with brakes that hot at the start.
If there was a bingo card of ACC mistakes, I'm surely close to completing it haha.
Nice racing at the end there, Brad.
Thank you! Was fun racing for sure.
Learning curve .... there not mistakes there lessons
I need a lot of lessons haha.

Its called ACC Drive
Yes, ACC drive. Slowly putting a video together to explain it all in detail.

Agree
Front engined cars seem to handle the curbs a lot better at Imola. I usually use the Mustang here … the Aston also does great.

Great racing from you mate. p10 to p3 is mega stuff! Already better this week on the pressures and pitstops, so making progress.
@@BradleySettersMotorsport glad to hear it, hope to see you again.
