I ended up getting 321 stainless for my headers, they look great, sound great and added that extra strength from titanium to the alloy without going bankrupt.
Yes material effects sound alot, at least when u have exhaust that u can hear haha, if its more silent than ur average stock economy car exhaust then its not much of a difference in sound

I made a straight pipe side exhaust with mild steel. Sprayed it with high heat paint but 6 months later started to rust. Maybe burned up the paint.

I've noticed on turbo diesels yes stainless sounds way better than mild steel
