Those Marlins hats are amazing
Loving your channel. You are bringing back a lot of memories of catching the last three or four innings of Harry and Steve on WGN after school each day. Keep up the good work!
By the way, would you happen to have any of the games from 1995 where Vince Lloyd filled in for Thom Brennaman?
Unfortunately I'm about out of games. As a kid I'd record games and then they ended up in a box and I'm just now getting around to converting them to digital. If anyone has any old Cubs games on VHS I'll gladly convert them to digital and post them. I have a lot of Chicago Bulls games that I recorded that I'll probably start working on next.
@@ChadBlanchard I'll look forward to the Bulls games
Me too, I am still both a Bulls fan and a Michael Jordan fan since 1991!!!!!
Not even a Cubs fan but I enjoy these games. Thanks so much. The Marlins should return to those jerseys.
Marlins are rocking the throwbacks brung them back last year.
~RIP Harry Caray & Ron Santo~
Steve Stone is such an underrated legend. Maybe it's the understated tone he always took, but dude was quick as a whip and FUNNY. I never hear anyone talk about how good ole Steve was. And he got an unfair shake heading out the door (a running theme with Chicago-based sports franchises)
I agree. Steve Stone was (and still is) simply one of the best in the biz. I was so angry when the butt-hurt '04 team led by Dusty Baker shoved him out the door. He was punished for being honest.
Growing up a reds fan watching on channel 5 Cincinnati... And sports channel
I always watched wgn chicago cubs and white sox and tbs atlanta braves ..
Brings back memories

such a simple broadcast and so good
Wow! This was the team I grew up with. Brian McRae made spectacular plays in center, Rey Sanchez was a single's machine, Sammy was the slugger, Grace was the guy who always seemed to get a hit and almost never struck out all while playing exceptional defense, Dunston had a rocket arm, Jose Hernandez never saw a slider he didn't like, ahhh the good ole' days. Except they weren't really the good ole' days because the team wasn't that good. But still, they were MY Cubs team. They were the first group of Cubbies I grew up watching.
And then of course there was Harry Carey and Steve Stone, by far my favorite broadcasting duo ever.
I am from the Cleveland area and when I was young I was a huge Tribe fan but I loved the Cubs because of cable TV . I could have watched the Braves but for obvious reasons I hated them .
Yeah...
"Obvious reason"..
Artificial turf is
ARTIFICIAL baseball
And now...
2024
They've made every game
ALL ARTIFICIAL
@@AMEER-114- No because they beat us in the WS in 1995 .
@@mafia_dave32
Yeah...
I know...
But I like to point out what should be really DESPISED...
Corruption of what was from the beginning...
@@AMEER-114- Are you talking about Rob Manfred destroying the game ?

Not one man...
The real culprits put people in front our eyes to make us think it was those peoples ideas or doings...
The ones who control everything...

I remember much....I ran home from school.... turned on the game and saw it was 9-0 and was so upset ...I saw the whole comeback....simply one of the best games ever
It would be great to get the entire 9-0 comeback game
