if you are in costa del sol there is a thrift market i know about in fuengirola on saturdays. (or at least it used to be, some years ago, not sure if it is anymore since i am not in the fuengirola local internet groups anymore and not keeping up, but i think the market possibly still happens every saturday)
@@triciamorris813 Is the Sunday one in Maspalomas Parque Sur not still running? I didn't find it very cheap when last went to that one. I saw video games for 35€ 🤣

Here’s a tip, buy what YOU like. If you don’t know about cameras and furniture then it doesn’t matter what it’s worth. If you want to get into cameras fine, but you don’t just find a deal and then buy stuff because you think it’s cool to own something valuable. If it’s not your thing then leave it for others. As to the chair, even as a replica Eames it was probably a good deal. Mallorca is quite wealthy and being an island there aren’t a lot of ways to offload your expensive wares. Especially furniture. You like clothes, stick to that. Bringing that chair anywhere would’ve been a major hassle. And it seems like you are financially just fine so maybe take what you need and want?
It’s probably the most famous high-end chair in “modern” design and therefore sadly it’s most likely a knock off since the most famous things are always forged. The wood looked like the wrong tone. Still, if it looks cool in my office and is decent looking I’d still buy it, thrifting isn’t about finding designer stuff for me, I just want stuff that fits into my home / wardrobe style. Thrifters trying to make resell profit would avoid the knock offs.
I’m not positive, but the leather to me doesn’t look authentic. It’s hard to tell. Either a VERY well preserved wanes chair or a replica. Or maybe a reupholstered original? You can tell if it’s authentic if in the sides of the bent plywood bases there are “button” plugs covering hardware holes. The original had no visible construction/hardware holes or hole caps. Happy hunting!
Even knock offs if made well are valuable. Style wise it’s a great chair with beautiful lines and timeless appeal. I’ve found two real Eames chairs at garage sales in the last thirty years. I paid $10 total. I got one when I was 16 for $2 and the other 10 years ago for $8. I kept them. I see replicas a lot and they’re made very very well usually.
My God, in Australia the thrift stores are more expensive or equal price to brand new clothes. It ridiculous, they sell it covered with stains or smelly for minimum $20
Lounge Chair and Ottoman by two designers Charles and Ray Eames. It a legend in furniture design world. This couple of chairs was designed in 56 and inspired by the director “Some like it hot” Billy Wilder. And this chair is exhibited in museums! 😍 Wow I’m seeing this chair and my heart is pounding 😂
Used shoes are like used underwear not even a Chanel, Dior, Jimmy's will make me buy one fungus among us are real, more expensive than real real designers
In Poland we usually have prices per kg of clothes (I guess it would be hard to apply the same to furniture) and the price ALWAYS depends on the day of the week. In my area there are some crazy prices like for example on Wednesday it's 5zł (around 1$) per kg so yea CHEAP BABY

I get what you're saying, but it's actually good for the environment to thrift. Where I live, I've never had the chance to thrift so easily, barely any outlets. If I had better access, I would definitely do it!
