girl i have the EXACT same shoe problem. i also wear a size 9 and i constantly see shoes from sizes 5-8 that are insanely cute and in near perfect condition. i’ve never found a pair of shoes in my size that weren’t ugly or damaged to the point of disrepair
For me a thrift store is bad if the prices are super high, there's a lot of damages pieces and sometimes the music is so loud, but you can always find something tho
I loved how you found that Chanel bag for such a steal! It's so true that you can discover hidden gems even in the "worst" thrift stores. Your outfits are always so cute and I totally relate to the struggle of finding good shoes. Can't wait to see how you style that leopard coat! 🐆✨
I love these vids! I also agree that there's no, "Bad," thrift store. I also feel like people need to keep in mind that thrift stores are traditionally are for those in need, not hunting for designer, etc., so even the "Worst," thrift store is necessary.
I’m a US 10, euro 40, Aussie 9, my biggest tip for thrifting for big feet is online! I went into my fave thrift store in Newtown and the girl in there told me that there is massive demand for bigger shoes sizes, so people constantly buy these sizes and hold onto these sizes, so when they are donated rarely, they are snapped up! I got a pair of vintage heels that had been on the shelf for 2 hours! Buy them online if you know your size because you can get them in from overseas or interstate, you get the cream of the crop of big shoes all over the world! Especially for us Aussie girlies who can access the American second hand market ❤️
Feeling so heard & seen when it comes to finding size 9 shoes in pretty much any store, let alone the thrift store. My daughter is a size 11. So she's got it even worse! Lol! Us big foot girlies need to stick together & share when we find good places to shop for shoes! ❤
That Chanelbag needs some TLC though, (cut off the tag would be a start😂) and then fill it with something to straighten it out, if not doing that, and since it's shiny leather (it's actually lacquered leather) the "wrinkles" will be permanent, and ultimately crack🌸
I feel like thrifting where I’m from (the Netherlands ) is really hard because we only have really small thrift stores with not many products and half of the Time it is really expensive ! I would love to go thrifting in big stores like you guys have !
if you want one thats actually bad, go to the one in the beaches on woodbine and danforth. the area is just not awesome and the clothes are never it, but i have faith that you would be able to find something and make it look cute
Brazil here! If you felt claustrophobic in this place you would have a meltdown if you knew what the average thrift store experience is like in my country.
i love thrifting and this video is so cute!! im so glad i stumbled on your page!! also same problem here with the shoe thing im a 9.5 - 10 and i never can find cute shoes thrifting..
I was threating today at a new thrift store by me. Second Avenue thrift all the reviews were bad. They said it was too expensive, etc. etc. well, my son and I go I found a zillion things for great prices. All the clothes were clean and in such good shape, it was unbelievable. Nothing was priced too high so I guess you have to see for yourself.
Downy’s farm is a family one, there are a couple of other farms in Milton too as well. Over all it’s best to google or find farms on Instagram. Love seeing your Chanel bag, keep showing it! Who care what other people say about grandma aesthetic style, I love it! New subscriber🇨🇦! Supporting my TO RUclipsr! 😊
To play devils advocate for the review complaining about overstocked racks- As someone who works in the thrift, and worked in pricing and stocking for a while, there’s not much we can do. Especially small locations- they’ll often be bombarded with women’s clothing (about 70% of the donations of the store I worked floor at were women’s clothing) everyday. We were supposed to keep things out for three weeks before pulling them, and often we would have to decide between pulling items or overfilling the rack. Usually we’d do a mix of both but with how much women’s clothing is donated it would still lead to overfilled racks. Also due to particular ADA guidelines, we had very specific rules about where our clothing racks were allowed to be and how far they needed to be spaced so we couldn’t expand our clothing section. So it’s honestly not a problem with the actual thrift store, it’s a problem with overconsumption in general and building restraints. (Also “pulls” aren’t thrown away- the nicest stuff is given to houseless people and the rest of it is auctioned off to other thrift stores and insulation companies etc.. I always get asked about that so I’ll throw it out there)
Prineville, oregon by Bend Oregon 4hrs from Portland or where I was born and folks had a thrift store se foster. Shout out from afar. Step mom was from Nelson, bc.
No actually there is unfortunately I love thrifting but not when the seller is so bad with customers not when it's dirty and smell one time I tried this blazer and felt something on my neck..it has insects inside. And why should I shopp in there if they sell a shirt olddd not in a very good condition almost the same price as the new one!!? Oh dear there is many bad thrift stor specially now they used ppl need bc of the economy more ppl started thriftin and the price go higher

I also have same problem since I wear a size 11. When I see something in my size, I usually grab it!
I would definitely not buy anything with Donald Trump's name on it
Good someone else will score
Def more choices for smaller sizes!
My Saver's has better shoes in the larger sizes. I wear a 7 and that is the most common size. I rarely find cute shoes at my Saver's. Fun video btw.
That white shawl shrug is called a poncho😊
