    This is exactly my type of of fishing, no wind, overcast and glassy water, Stripers just love the weed, grassy and rocky areas where they can trap their prey, nice catches Peace.

    Nice Easter gift. Thank you. NFF on youtube is the only fly fishing program we see. Written well, videography high quality, and real fishing with the thrill of the catch and agony of the ones that get away. Makes my weekends that I can’t get out and fish.

    It's very nice to see something a bit different. I would love to give that type of fishing a try. And Captain Eric seemed to know his stuff. Nice!

    I've fished for stripers once in Chandler Québec. Had a Ross cla5 with the drag maxed out and the fish took line every time.

    We don't get stripped bass here in B.C 🇨🇦. It's big CRAP " 25lb +" that WILL take you down to the backing ( knuckle bustting 😊 ). Especially when using a surface bait 😃.all catch & release.

    I love to fly fish but having a light spinning rod and a popper would be a blast here.

      Yeah. There’s no debate that spin tackle for this type of fishing (and most saltwater) is way more effective

    If i heard you correctly purchase my saltwater line according to the temperature of the water, my other question which may sound stupid is does this refer to the whole setup on the reel?

    • @robertheal261
      @robertheal261 4 месяца назад

      Not necessarily. There is no special backing required, though many use gel spun as you can get more on a reel. Generally, salt water leaders are a stiffer material than garden variety fresh water leaders, but they are not necessary.
