thanks for this genius idea, I changed the line in my wife's Impala last year and it was a two day headache that made me hate working on Impalas. Now our daughters Impala needs the same job done and I was dreading it until this kick ass mechanics ingenious hack! You sir deserve a Nobel Prize 🏆 or a 12 pack of beer, a lap dancer from my step sister Sally even... lol your decision, Sally has her new tooth she says 🙄

Good idea. For some folks, it's an improvement adding the cooler while repairing the leak. Thank you. BTW, you could also protect your lines from sharp or edges by slitting a high pressure gas line (fuel injection) lengthwise, and slipping it over the sharp spots. Sort of the idea of black insulation over existing copper pipes? You get the idea.

Slipping hose over all Exposed Metal lines, in a Salted Road environment,, make good sense

Did the rubber hose end up holding up too the pressure ? I did rubber patch on power steering tube and even though it's the low side pressure it didn't last and burst the rubber hose a year later

The hose that comes with it is high pressure trans cooler line, if you use fuel line it will likely leak eventually. Mine is still leak free years later.

Thinking about doing this but do I have to get the fluid out of the system before repairing the line ?

I didn't, you'll get some dripping but nothing major.

I've tried to find anyone to show how to replace the power steering cooler that's in my 2010 f150. All I get is videos of how to bypass it. Is there any site that shows how to change the cooler itself?

What is the hose diameter and where did you bought the cooler kit?

I bought the cooler from Advance Auto. I don't remember for sure what the hose size was probably 1/2 inch? It was the same hose that came with the cooler.
