- Rasheed Wallace had his fair share of beef and disagreements with people during his career, most notably the NBA referees. However, one lesser known beef was with rapper E-40.

I've waited 28 years to hear Rasheed Wallace's side of that story.
lol facts
Same
big facts.
Just like 40 relayed it. Sheed being the big man off the court 👏🏽
Damn bro waited my whole lifetime 😅
E40 Is Not From Oakland He's From Vallejo
I’m from Northern California and people outside of the bay or not cal will never get this😂 they think sac is the bay.
@@ljv2094Thank you. I clicked on this just about to say that. They've been doing that since C-BO started featuring on tracks with E-40 and vice versa. It spread and nobody corrected folks so now people from outside of the bay think all of Northern Cali is the Bay Area.
Omm bruh😂 I think its cause the Warriors played in Oakland tho so it wouldn’t even make sense for him to go to Vallejo u more likely to go to Oakland or SF
The Valley Joe 😊
Right 🤦🏾♂️
That diss is literally the opener for the Hall of Game album. Crazy 😂
You listened to the album?
@@Da_Humble_Life been on that album over 15+ years at this point lol. Came out in 1996

I thought that was somebody else for years until somebody said it was him for real lol.
I forgot E-40 dissed Sheed on Record Haters. E-40 was going at AZ too on that record. Tha Hall of Game was my first introduction to E-40. My Godfather was jamming that mug on Cassette. Classic album.
Man My Cousin Put Me On To E-40 When I Was A Young Young Bucc... First Song I Heard From Him My Cousin Pull Up Open His Car Door I Just Hear "Top Of The Line Wine Carlos Rossi Rossi!"... I Said What Is He Saying Lmaoo Been Into His Music Every Since
Watchin ny undercover while I was takin a shit kook Keith was on the front cover that’s when I spotted it
E40 didn't want those AZ problems he woulda got bodied lyrically
I have the utmost respect for 40 and Sosa. I'm more of a 40 fan now then I was back in the day and Az is still a cold lyricist. 40 the business man and Az the quiet hustler. Much love to both of those legends.
Such a funny coincidence I was getting Carlos Rossi Sangria today and someone saw it and walked by and said “top of the line wine Carlos Rossi”. I forgot that was a 40 song.
Record Haters was a CERTIFIED 40 CLASSIC. I love Sheed, since he was at Carolina, but I gotta call it like it is. That Song slaps.
Call it like it is FOR YOURSELF. can he like what he like just like you like what you like?
@@jj47k. I think it's implied that when a person says something in a comment they're speaking FOR THEMSELF. To them it's a slap. To me too, that song is tight as hell. Sheed can feel like he feels and you can feel like you feel.
Still slap record haters lol. I was a kid when it came out my brother and cousins always played it. I only knew Rasheed’s name because of that song when i was young lol
AZ didn't and still don't want the smoke with the Water!!
That joint was trash just like the rest of his catalog
Biggie did the same thing&that almost cost big his life in the bay
#Rapfacts but that incident wasn't in the bay it was in sacramento. 40's people had biggie hemmed up. They called 40 over that rah rah biggie was talking about pac. 40 gave him a pass and said let that man go it's only words ✔

Big facts
In 2000 I was sitting second row behind the away bench at the warriors coliseum. Portland was in town my homie yells “ 40 is gonna get you Wallace!!” Rasheed ignored us like a champ so we thought. But a little later he got a good dunk on somebody and ran by us and gave us the shush 🤫. It was on after that we knew they were listening.

Hall of game was 🔥 🔥
Sure is. A bunch of great albums came out in '96, but I don't hear many people talk about how dope the Hall of Game was. "Million Dollar Spot" with 2Pac and B-Legit is still my joint Til this day.
Record haters with nate dog on the hook 🔥🔥🔥
“Stick to basketball” 😂😂 Sheed a legend
Man! The way 40 said it, you felt that energy.
Song also had an AZ diss, but turns out it was the magazine that messed with AZ’s comments to make it look like disrespect. They squashed it. Shows how the media loves pushing these beefs
I was at that concert. 40 brought sheed on stage. They squashed on stage. It was pretty cool.
Im from the bay and lived on the east coast. Everybody outside of Cali think E-40 from Oakland lol

E 40 still going tho

I'm from North Carolina and we always played East Coast ish.
Thumbs up to Rasheed Wallace for admitting he was young and one sided to the rap game and maturity goes a long way💯
Fonzarelli is the GOAT IMO. A legend in the South,Midwest, and West Coast. Independently made spitting real game over mob beats for 35 years. True originator. Nobody else in rap history has done this. His longevity is incredible and he is still relevant. Rasheed don't buy a hundred thousand dollar car before you buy a house. Lol

Damn I love late 90s and early 2000s that was the best beef
Still one of E-40’s best songs to this day.
Was always still a Rasheed Wallace fan too though.
I’m a Kings fan, so I was definitely rooting for the Blazers in those classic playoffs against the Lakers back in the day.
that Blazer's team was mean, loved Rasheed going against a younger Black Mamba.
@@8kigana gotta be one of the most exciting playoff series of all time. That WCF that went 7 games. “Big shot bob” closed it out game 7 if I remember correctly. Or was that against someone else?

🤣 Basically he was just a East Coast cat that didn't fuck with the West coast or the South 🤷
He from Philly, it makes sense since the south and west coast wasn't huge like that back then lol.

We never had internet,we had newspapers and word of mouth. It’s crazy now you get information quickly

For real the beginning of the track says exactly what he said.

You're right but some people are just emotional and have big egos regardless of age. He never dissed him at all but some artist feels like everyone has to listen to them 😂
You had to be a real hip hop junky to rock with E40 like I was! Even he knows that, sometimes denial makes things harder people!
Cousin Rasheed Wallace is one of my favorite players ever. Missed a chance to meet him when he played for Detroit when was in L.A

How you mad at somebody for not listening to your music
Exactly! I remember that interview and all he said was he didnt listen to it.... Shit im from LA and i didnt listen his music either. You cant simply just like what you like and its a damn shame
It's the fact he went out his way to say he didn't listen to him
yo, it's just like charlie murphy used to get mad when people didn't laugh at eddie murphy's jokes back in the day.

DISCLAIMER: I like e40
You gotta remember the times! Back in the 90's most of the support E40 got was from the West or the South( Mainly Texas and LA). The West had something to prove in the 90's bc The East coast had the game on lock and weren't showing love for our artist the way we showed it back for theirs. East coast cats didn't really rock w/40 back then it bc they didn't like the way his voice sounded(in comparison to their artist) and bc they thought he rapped too fast.. Many glossed over the game and life lessons in his music mainly bc of the before stated reasons. Look at the comment section for examples of why ppl didn't like him. That's why he would always say, "I'm not rapping too fast, y'all just listening slow!"
You guys are crazy with the paragraphs it was classic trolling your crazy if you think something was gonna happen if they saw each other😂😂😂
Biggie gave E40 a zero out of 10 unprovoked in a magazine interview. It's ok not to like someone's music but to shit on them in a public way, expect a response. Rasheed basically did the same thing, again unprovoked. Maybe you listen to Miley Cyrus or Taylor Swift but in the rap world, if someone shits on you in public, you respond. If your region's rappers ignore blatant disrespect from other rappers, where you from exactly?
