- In this video, we'll compare two light fighter helicopters that were developed independently in India and China. Both helicopters have similar ranges and prices, as well as similar capacities.
When it comes to a country's defense capability, the government purchases a greater number of defense products from other countries. However, some countries develop their own power in order to compete with international capacity warfare machines.

LCH is the Highest service ceiling Attack Helicopter in the World.
But at 4:44 you showed Z10 has greater service ceiling then LCH... please stop spreading false info for views and reach.
LCH service ceiling is 21385 ft or 6500 metres.
Z-10 Ceiling is 6000 m or 19685 feet.
Its not just about service ceiling. A lot of helis have that. LCH can takeoff from these heights with a significant payload which most can't do.

Aren't the two of them of different classes? Ones a medium category attack chopper, while the other is a light category attack chopper.

The real and only difference between LCH & Z10 people need to consider is that more than 150 Z10 are built and are in service whereas only 8 LCH are built till today.
France has several hundred fighter jets yet something like 15 are operational. The rest are grounded because France isn't paying the cost for maintenance. Little is known about the maintenance of Chinese equipment. Even the Chinese might not know what is operational or what's sitting in a hanger waiting for parts.

While nothing is transparent in China. much less is their defense strength or expenditure. Your argument could be very accurate or extremely inaccurate at the same time.
So what do we do? We assume worse, we assume that the Chinese strength of fighters might be 2x than what we know. Why we should assume such a bizarre scenario?
A. China not being a democracy and a country run by a party have no obligation to the Welfare of her people, or her environment, or any other HDI indicator. If they want to spend 50% of their GDP on defense, who's to stop them?
B. Chinese behavior is very predatory and they fancy them as an adversary of the USA. So if they are not operationally sound, they might not indulge in such saber-rattling

J17 of china, is indeed a copy but not of tejas. In Serbia, when nato was bombing, Serbian somehow managed to get F-35 (American stealth aircraft) crashed. Mi 35 and Z-10 are both underachievers. The Rhudra is marginally effective, the LCH is effective at altitude and the Apache E is effective at low and medium altitude. But Apache E can also operate armed and unarmed drones so they extend the effectiveness a lot.

if the info is factually correct this favors the Chinese LCH... Size, less power output, higher service range, more value for money, and max takeoff weight all of these are better with the Chinese Heli... Technology-wise the Chinese are at least 5 to 10 years ahead of Indian (They actually have functioning stealth vehicles and India is away at least by 10 years)... But, I feel positive for India though... The previous/current governments don't put enough impetus on defense research, a development that much... we should do a comprehensive betterment of our scientific/industrial/research efforts that will catapult India way forward (or at least help us maintain status quo/deterrent).

Yes, but China wants stronger engines. A local helicopter used for crop dusting can fly, but it can't shoot anything. That issue might be a problem with the Z-10 as well.
Maintenance is also another issue, because you just can't swap out an engine with a different engine. You have to replace the transmission as well.
So let's say a Z-10 has engine problems and has to be replaced. China isn't making the original engine because it wants to upgrade. The upgraded engines and transmissions are being put in the aircraft being built first and the other helicopters are being upgraded later. That could mean the Z-10 that had engine problems could be out of service for months or years.

If China was given the plans of the Apache E, China couldn't make enough helicopters to matter. China would have to make the machines to make the parts to make the helicopters and that doesn't include training and quality control. China would have to dedicate its whole military budget to make the factories to make the helicopter. There are many attack helicopters out there. Even South Africa has its own attack helicopter. We know little of the helicopter and that is probably done on purpose. They don't want to expose the junk behind the curtain.
Can't compare z10 with lch, LCH has lot of high altitude experience and as well an entire ecosystem is build around central theme of surprise and neutralize in line with central command. .. Anyone who has seen LCH.. Would say it is highly capable.. Can't compare.. Others are not in main streame..

India helicopter altitude certification requirement check it.. It is highest among the world.. These machines has to pass those tests.. So total payload is just 1900kg payload+ fuel )which makes no sense in comparison with same category bell viper which can which can carry 2.8 tons fuel + payload.
