  • IFAW's Jenga mama project empowers women in Africa through education to establish new careers that are beneficial to wildlife and help the planet. Ann Nailantei is a Maasai woman living in Amboseli, Kenya, and a graduate of the Jenga Mama project's food and beverage vocational training program. She discusses her affinity for cooking and baking and her goal of becoming a chef. Thanks to IFAW and Jenga Mama, Ann and the other Jenga Mama graduates, 60 women in total, have new opportunities to provide sustainable livelihoods for their families and communities. It is great to see how the community benefits from education and the tourism that conserving the wildlife around them brings. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

These are some strong women. If I feel I'm having a bad day and my life is tough. I just have to watch women like her and it will set me straight. My life is easy compared to theirs. Education empowers a community.
