    I hope you found this video useful, where I share one of the most misunderstood foods for losing weight - and not misunderstood in a good way! Obviously you can lose weight eating ANY food if you’re still in a calorie deficit, but some foods are considerably more ineffective than others based on a number of factors - such as their caloric density! And this food ranks pretty highly on that list. But I’ve selected it today as my no.1 worst food for weight loss because of how many dieters falsely assume that this is a really good food for losing weight! Big mistake!     Not only is this stuff calorie rich and full of oil, it is incredibly expensive nowadays. Showing my age, but I remember when granola would come in a huge box and you could really feel that weight. I think this and the taste really made you feel like you were getting value for your dollar. Now in the age of shrinkflation the boxes feel like their full of puffed wheat and the cost is laughable.

    Oh yeah, granola is such a major "trap"!! I've re-discovered the joy of oatmeal, thank to your videos. So filling, satisfying and wholesome!

      Oil is up there for foods commonly mistaken as health foods yes. I think granola flies more under the radar. Certainly on my channel - I’ve already covered oil pitfalls so many times.

      It was close, but generally, I sense people know that peanut butter is calorific.

    Agree, this is why I stopped eating Granola a long time ago. Just too rich and easy to over eat calories with.

    Complete agree it’s just so calorific you really can’t eat much without maxing out your calories!
