- About this talk:
"If boys are in trouble, it's a women's issue - we're all in trouble." Christina Hoff Sommers talks about the effects of a philosophy that can be somewhat hostile to young men: Women's Rights. Advocating for recognition of gender differences while maintaining equality, Sommers discusses the implications, risks, and consequences of consistently supporting and encouraging females only.
About this speaker:
Christina Hoff Sommers is an American author best known for her critical stance on late 20th-century feminism and controversial writings about feminism in contemporary American culture. She believes that the contemporary feminist movement has taken a wrong turn toward victim politics and male-bashing. She is a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute.
I could tell she was more nervous than I've seen her before. But after discovering she did this talk in TO, what seems to be Canada's feminist capital, I can see why. She seemed to have a pretty warm audience though. Lots of men there and receptive seeming women too. Good on you Canadians. We all need to hear this.
Separate schools need to happen throughout school and University.
My niece would have been right there with the boys tossing her notebook in the fire too. Actually, she'd have started the fire LOL She makes her uncle so proud.
If only Dr.Warren Farrell had been there to speak along with Christina the audience seriously would have gone home and had alot to think about.
god bless you Mrs Sommers
It might have something to do with the fact that she rejects modern feminism.
This speaker has some points but she's using a whole bunch of rhetorical strawmen and caricatures when she could be using evidence.
Are you trolling?
2010...the time before ignorant shout downs and sjw ideology. Where common sense was still common.
This speaker has some valid points but she's using a whole bunch of rhetorical strawmen and caricatures when she could be using evidence.
Thats good bare minimum
The education system was created for boys
Giving women equal oppurtunity isnt unfair

You obviously have no idea what "evidence" means
