- Our trip was almost over before it started and we ended up being VERY lucky getting on our ferry.
Follow our family adventure back over to Europe while we explore the amazing regions of Normandie and Brittany in our trusty T6.1 VW California Beach.

Fab to see you guys out and about in France. Such a lovely experience for Harvey. Looked like lovely campsites-plus welcome cocktails-bonus! We just released our france vlog earlier today too- first ever camper trip abroad for us! Kids (and us!) loved it! Can’t wait to get back over there-hopefully next year.

@@ABusAndBeyond thank you 😍. Ours was a hectic Easter Wkend in Disneyland so hopefully we’ll get a longer period to travel around next time we visit France. We love watching your vlogs. Looking forward to see the rest of your France adventures! We’ve spent most of our summers (before campervan arrived and pre-covid) in Brittany so bet it will make us want to go back!
Just as a suggestion, you could get one of those tri-fold mattresses from ikea and some plywood to put across the front seats for Bentley to create more room on the downstairs bed if the weather is extreme

I like the sites on site segment, what I enjoy most about European vans/RV's is they are mostly single color and not like the crazy color swirls on nearly all US models. Travel safe.

We actually stayed at the Sandaya campsite in June too, we were there for the D-Day celebrations and it was amazing - we can highly recommend the site if you return, so much to do and see especially for children, the pool complex is superb 👍 Although we had thunder and lightning too, very mixed weather 😂

I see you're home now- you kindly let me out at a junction today, and followed me almost home. It took a minute or so to realise where I knew the van from. I almost waved to you as we parted ways, but you may have just thought "who's that nutter, waving? "...I'll watch the video later, we're on a local-ish campsite in the UK for a few days.

If you’ve managed to get your pass downloaded you don’t need to worry about the verification 👍
Don’t understand why you keep sweating over the solar panel charging the leisure battery - with such a long drive, using the engine to charge the leisure battery is a simple option?

The awning is a Vango Hexaway Hub. Yes it attaches to the awning rail on the van. It’s really good. Thanks for joining us it’s great to have you onboard 👍

We do write the names of each campsite in the video but the first one is Sandaya in Normandie and the 2nd one is Le Chatelet.
It would be useful to know when this was filmed. Or did I just miss that?

We went into panic mode seeing your covid issues but there is nothing on our nhs app that requires verification was it that you hadn’t verified the app rather than the vaccine pass?

To be fair, Shaun had checked and told me to check mine but I did the stupid thing of assuming mine would be fine like it had before. This was also a very last minute trip.

Oversea travel is a bit of a minefield at the moment and even if you have all the right paper work you still worry something has changed…

Not sure you’re right about there being a different covid pass for travel. The NHS app seems to offer only one type of Covid pass - not different passes for domestic and international travel. Sounds more like just an authentication problem with your app.
@@GlennBroadway there are 2 Covid passes. A domestic one and a travel one..
If your going abroad you need the travel one…it’s valid for 6months..
@@bronniepaterson4694 Ah I thought it was only for 7 days - is that the domestic one? If the travel is valid for 6 months we’ll get ours sorted now (in France end of July)

They’re made by Bo-Camp and are one of their “urban” chairs. 👍
By the way, did you have to put any headlight adjusters on for France? We have LED’s like you and I’ve read that they don’t need them, but would appreciate your view. 🙏
No I think it does it automatically. To be honest though, we didn’t actually go anywhere at night so I’m not 100% sure but I couldn’t find anything to change in the settings.
Also, remember that the EU Pet Passports are no longer valid! You now have to get an Animal Health Certificate every time you enter the EU (and it’s a bit of an effort to get them too!)
Such a shame it’s been made more complicated.
And expensive!!! Reckon on about £200 minimum per trip I’m afraid.
