- Today I attempted to install the Hondata S300 V3 into my P75 ECU. This ECU came out of my 1993 Honda Civic Hatchback. This video should cover every aspect of the installation.

Let me know if you guys have any questions. I realized that I forgot to clip j12 in the video, but please remember to do this step if you’re doing this install on your own.

C14 Capacitor? Just curious as the hondata site says to replace it
I cant find your insta
Did it come with all of the chips you installed?
@@sirsendit9770 yep
@@boosted_john awesome man , in buying the s300 in a couple days and trying to make sure I have everything I need , your videos are very helpful man much appreciated!
The reason, the guys at hondata have you take the ecu board of the frame, is so when you cut the side out, the shavings don't go all over the board and bridge connections.
Brendan Gallagher I kinda figured that out after the fact 😕
Nice to see your vids back in my feed. Those subs are going up🤙🏻
Phillip Golden ye ye!
Saw you install the turbo kit on the other channel. Didn't know you had your own channel. Just subbed.
this is a sweet video, good job bro.
learning new things is the best.
Teokis thanks brother 🤙🏼
I wish I could leave another thumbs up. Can’t believe this doesn’t have more views
Thanks for this. Will follow when I do my install
Bro i was so nervous about doing this so much so i was gonna spend a extra 300 on one that was already done.glad you made this video.keep up the good work
I know what you mean. I probably still will just because I'd hate to screw something up
Seriously.. but why does it have to be an extra 300 for a Hondata ready ECU? No way am I doing this saudering stuff..
wow, you kindof a lookalike of myself 25y ago, still have the vintage glasses in a box.
Dude great video. This is what we need. Thanks brosive
🦍🦍🦍
Very Informative. was researching how to install the s300. 👍
Thanks, glad it helped!
Greetings from Chicago! Love the turbo civic build. Just test drove one yesterday d16z6
Dope! I highly recommend turbo civics. Super fun projects.
JOHN yea I would love to. Sucks that most Honda’s are rust buckets and will be a pain to work on
Your editing is very cool 👀
inflow divide thank you! I thought I did a really good job with this one.
People around my way kept telling me a p75 couldn’t be chipped. Help needed!!!
I did it and it worked 🤷♂️
Really appreciate this video
I don't know why but I find your videos more interesting than Adam LZ.
LowSpecRUclipsr hahaha thank you! That’s a major compliment.
It's always good when your friends compliment you🤓
Thank you for doing all the research
You’re welcome my dude! That’s what I’m here for 🤙🏼
this is awesome .. cheers
Thank u for doing this
Great video thank ya
Would this be the same as a p5m ecu for a 97 Honda prelude base? What about a 99 prelude sh?
some one can tell me if p06 ecu
will fit non VTEC obd1 d16a7?
i had on it p27 ECU.
Does any one know were he got he info on installing hondata because I ordered mine but it didn’t come with the instructions on how you can install it at home.
I don’t wanna count my chickens before their hatched... lol. Love the vids bro. Do a review on the Beamer bro barely have any footage of it
385 Garage thanks! I will soon. I just want to get this civic stuff wrapped up first.
Does the hondata s300 come with all the prosesors and pins?
How did u get the remaining soldier out
Nice video!!
I wanted to ask how much did you paid for this hondata s300 v3??
Great video does it work on Integra 2001?
i wanna do this to my 95 teggy with b18 b1 i assume it would be the same? i am good with electronics took a 2 year course on fixing electronics and building boards and circuits so shouldn't be hard. another thing to descolder you can use old speaker wire it's not the best or there is a sucker thing like a turkey baster it sucks the solder out great vid though
Good video thanks
If you take your car to a tuner do they do it themselves?
Someone please answer!!! Does the s300 work on a 2000 si em1 ecu
Will this process work on a p06
Does your vtec work I have same ecu and setup but my vtec didn’t work on dyno
P27 ecu box can u put a hondata s300?
will this work in my automatic civic?
Your video was very helpful my question now is since it’s A non-vtec does hondata control vtec or will I need to solder it in? I had to do it to my p06 but with out hondata
You can take the vtec wire of your jumper harness and switch it to another input. I don't remember the inputs but they're in hondata
@boosted_john does this apply to a p28 or does it have a different possces
Does it work on p73 too?
how to make ecu daigram to recommendate to repair ecu thank you may friend
You look exhausted. You officially have solder brain. Could you imagine doing this all day 40hours a week? Nice Job Great Videos
ricktt03 thanks! And that would be brutal.
Step 11 “replace power supply capacitor at C14” the kit doesn’t come with a new capacitor. What did you do at this point?
I did not replace the cap and it is working just fine in my b18 swapped civic.
Hey boosted John can you send a link of the instructions website in this chat
Sweet
if you have already a ecu chipped? whats the procedure to install a Hondata ?
You would have to desolder the socket from your board then solder in the hondata pins.
dope videos by the way!
.... now if i could get my hands on one.. these hondatas are all on back order... :(
Michael Ballone
Evasive Motorsports has some.... got mine to Texas in 3 days!
hell yea, thanks dude
👍😁 awesome
Hec Rivz thanks! I hope it works. Lol
Bro watching here from jamaican really would do well with a p28 am currently building a b20
So i have a 2005 Honda Accord LX standard Transaxle.
I would have to aquire a RSX ECU to do this for my application right or can you use any ecu with hondata?
If you use an RSX ecu, you’re going to have to use Hondata K-tuner. Not Hondata s300.
Boosted John
K Pro
KTuner is competition.
Nicee🔥
inflow divide thanks! I’m excited to get the Ecuador back in the car.
@@boosted_john I'm excited too 😄
Good stuff man thanks
Lsvtec swap doesn't activate vtec with hondata. I have the vtec wire harness that goes straight to the ecu. My buddy has a p28 with hondata and it activates on that. I even chip my p75 to vtec and still nothing. Got any ideas why???
Your issue is because your p75 was not converted to vtec, same with this video, the hondata will work but vtec will NOT work until u convert the Ecu to vtec
@@bradstewart7648 Yes that is true. There is a setting in the hondata software to run an alternate output for non vtec ecu's. So i wired it up from a diagram online and set it in hondata and the ctec crack sounds so good.
ShaftDrafter97 I have heard of that, I personally never tried to run it out of another output tho, maybe I’ll have to give it a try, I have a p75 with hondata in it already
My boy said 👁 👁
👃🏻
👄
I know this video is old, but man you should have used flux to have solder go where it needs to. Solder flows nicely when using flux
I got s300 installed into a P75 but it seems they made the motor run slower, I used a few different basemapps. I'm ttrying to see how to tune it so it will run right. I don't want to pay a tuner to do it for me and I don't know if I even need a wideband o2 or not. I probably should buy one but that's more money which I don't have a lot of. I used a HaMotorsports basemap, a H22 basemap, a Tuned H22 basemap, and a modicied injector basemap. All of them seemed to make the car run less powerfully than a Phearable basemap for a chipped ECU. Im a little bummed out about it to be honest. Any insight is appreciated, thanks
Honestly, your best bet is to get an etune.
@@boosted_john where would you get it done and how much? A guy I know who owns a shop street tunes for 200 but rhats one session.
@@boosted_john do I need a wideband?
Mikhail Kolitwenzew that’s probably worth it if he’s good at street tuning.
@@boosted_john the guy that put the s300 onto the p75 didnt want me to pay anyone for tuning the car because he said I could just change the fuel injectors fuel rate and change the whole map to see how it runs. He just said it wasnt that hard to tune it yourself and what's the point of having the s300 if you are just going to take it to soneone else to tune it for you. Thats what he said anyways.
The ECU you installed Hondata on; P75, is non-VTEC, did you ever had it converted to a VTEC ECU after Hondata?
It’s not a P75, more than likely a P28
Great content man, thanks! And how much was it all together??
Does this apply to a p72 ecu also?
It should be pretty dang close. Look on homdata’s website and see if it says otherwise.
So do you daily drive with the hondata
I do not daily drive the car that has hondata. I daily drive my 335i.
Where do you just go and buy a hondata s300
Haha it’s a local shop called one 6 motor sports in Elk Grove village illinois. Their website is www.valexracing.com
Use my coupon code “boosted5” for 5% off anything on their website 🤙🏼
is it for obd1 or obd2...... i have 97 civic coupe with d16 obd2 dose it works with it
I'm pretty sure it also works with OBD2, but mine is OBD1.
@@boosted_john 1 more questions does it work on k series engine
Zayed G R nope. You would need hondata K-tuner for that.
What other videos is he talking about? I can’t find any video and what is he reading because I have two of them jumpers and this kid only showed what he did with the other jumper
Will this work for a 99 corolla?
Not unless it has a Honda motor and ecu.
Is that a obd1 or 2 p75
OBD1
Make sure you clean your ecu with brake cleaner first before you desoader anything because Honda oem ecus have a clear coat coating witch will burn an leave burn an black marks
Are you high?
Where do I buy a s300
I've seen them but I don't want to get scamd
Is it an obd1 or 2
1
At the end of the day running hondata your still stuck with a slow processing unreliable 25+ year old obd1 ECU thatvis very limited. I personally thought the set up was very poor. I went with the Fueltech 550 dash with all Fueltech supporting electricals. The performance differance is beyond measure. No more problems with tunes going out of perimeter
Dis the hondata come with the c14 capacitor?
mine did not
Boosted John did you replaced?
How much was the hondata ?
colas solorzano can’t remember. Maybe like $350?
Boosted John do you have any link or did you remember where did you get it from.
I clicked on the video because why would you use a p75 instead of a p28 or p72 ecu even if you don’t hve vtec it’s nice to have the ability when or if you do go vtec
This is the ECU that I had in my car.
Yo Suh dude
Galm Team Leader suh dude!
Can I ship you mine to do?
I would charge an arm and a leg bro. But if you actually want to, message me on instagram @boosted_john
I cant find instructions for Hondata V4.. Anybody got some?
This is a joke right?
No, I'm serious
I dry fit it the chip on to only find 2 sections of the connectors line up to the PNF ECU
Am I not supposed to install it on my own..?
Andrew I don’t think s300 v4 exists...
Did ecu works?
Yuh
@@boosted_john nice im going to try it. If something comes wrong i blame you.
Christ, cant we just drop the car off with the S300 box and just have the tuner do it, haha.
Not when you’re a broke college student. Lol
@@boosted_john Fair enough John. Its more rewarding to do it yourself anyways. Thanks for putting together the video.
stephen christy I agree. It’s been a fun learning experience.
Wow man, HEADPHONE WARNING @ 6:00, that fricken grinding tool u used on the soldering iron... TOO Loud. Great vid otherwise! Thanks!
Jason Jaeger lmao thanks for pointing that out. I had no idea.
Dahmer
The only thing this man is cutting up is his 1/4 mile time.
i personally dont care about your coffee
Shhhhhhh
This video is so long because it's just this guy talking until 7 mins in
dude focus on the subject than saying nonsense!
too many too many intervals you have to be more practical and talk less when doing these technical jobs
Another terrible how to install video
This video is so Long becuae you just keep rambling.
