You know guys, the nicest part of your videos isn't the photography, even though your pictures are stunning. It certainly isn't the music 😉. Nope, the most beautiful part is that you both love a common interest and are obviously and simply happy to share the passion. Good luck to you both. A very rare and sweet combination.
So nice to see someone enjoy their time at Pt Peelee..... the most vivid memory I have from there is from camping in the mid 60's and having trucks come through the camp sites in the evening, and spraying for the worst mosquito problem I remember from Ontario. Not so many on Vancouver Island, but the opportunities for shooting larger birds are most welcome ..... keep on shooting ....... :-)
What a fantastic day of shooting! The Cape May warbler is a stunningly beautiful bird. You guys get the palm warbler, I get the pine warbler here in central Vermont, extreme northern Vt. gets the palm... I can see the shooting opportunities on this shoot were almost endless. Very well done. Thank you, Bill Farr... :-)... :-)
Just a suggestion: consider a little higher volume for the dialogue, and a little lower volume for the background music. Some great bird images though!
Hi Guys! Just wanted to ask about the lack of big glass at Pelee. I see lots of people in your videos with 400 primes or 100-400mm but no 500mm or 600mm on tripods. Is that a "no, no" there? Love the tanager by the way. I am big on western tanagers out here in B.C. but would just love to get some images like you did of a scarlet.
Hi Steve, there are plenty larger lenes (500/600) at Point Pelee, especially in the early morning on the beach. We really like the 300/400 option for mobility. The Scarlet is a real looker that's for sure, can't help but spend lots of time on this bird whenever we see it.
Content as always, interesting & beautiful. However, narrative needs to be closer the the levels of your music. I know this is an old video now, but good to keep an eye on levels as you are editing the video.
Hi, most of the photos taken seems to be from the top side of the birds. Was it the case that these birds you found was always below your camera level? I mean if you find a bird in a higher branch, you can't take a shot of the back or neck side of the bird, right?
Mark Harris Oh I'm sorry to hear that, I apologize if it seemed that I was making fun of it, I thought you had done something outrageous to get banned. Hope you feel better!
Rio Dante You have nothing at all to apologise for, you simply asked a question. Perhaps I should have worded it different from "banned from" with something like "told not to", I keep saying I was sacked from my last job rather than say I was let go on health grounds. Please don’t worry about it.
Yeah, the wording kind of confused me, hence the way I asked the question. However I hope you keep feeling well and are able to bird from time to time. It really is an awesome passion to have. Have a great day!
+Colin Chiu Just a matter of budget. I was able to find the 300mm used and saved a bunch. The 1.4x telescoverter brings me just past 400mm so it's not bad!
I just found you guys today. Really like your videos. I subscribe and will be following you. I am a bird nerd as well. I shoot Nikon. I have a D600 and my main lens is the Nikon 200-500. Love it. I am disabled and use a powerchair. But can still do a lot of photography. If you would like to check out my Flickr page. www.flickr.com/people/26345736@N04/

Very nice video guys. I don't understand how anyone could not like your video. I guess haters gotta hate. Keep up the good work.
It's that god awful music! A nature video has done nothing to warrant being punished with that crappy music (or any music for that matter)
killer tanager shots! so great when they pose for a while. :)
Beautiful, Thanks for sharing.
YOU GUYS ARE REALLY COOL AND NICE ))) this video is really very good and hoping to see more bird photography videos from you )) SUBSCRIBED

Wow! great stuff. Keep it up.
Astronomical bird shots!
Dream sessions thank you for sharing.
Excellent video..... Thanks for posting...... Thumbs up from me, a newbie to the world of photography..... ATB Ian
Thanks, Ian, glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers!
Cool! I wonder if there is any difference in using a camouflaged 400mm compared to the white uncamouflaged lens.
That bloody music is annoying, why is this essential, why not just have natural bird sounds, and the natural sounds around you.
Love your videos 👌...but music much too loud 🤐
Merci beaucoup 🇨🇦
Drop the music. please.

Do you guys make a living shooting bird?
Great video except for the music . Too Casey .
Great video, can you please do more tutorials thanks . I’m a beginner Dslr user and would find it very useful.
Hi There, great pics! Did you use micro adjustment in the 7dmk2 and 400mm5.6 combo?
No haven't got into that yet, something to think about it the future. We are always interested in new methods for sharper photos.
Was that #17 cabin right in the park? I’m interested in going to the park after watching your videos. Also, when is the best time of year to be there?
Your photos are great..you can try nikon d500 for sharp photos..
belo tiro..
Amazing video! What gear did you guys use?
Thanks, Jasper - 7D + 300 mm f/4 and 7D Mark II + 400 mm f/5.6
The only place I regret not visiting before I was banned from flying is Canada, the wildlife and landscapes look equally amazing.
Lol, why were you banned from flying?
Rio Dante I have a very severe respiratory condition, and my consultant banned me from flying.
Mark Harris Oh I'm sorry to hear that, I apologize if it seemed that I was making fun of it, I thought you had done something outrageous to get banned. Hope you feel better!

Great photos looking forward to more of the same.
Thanks, Alan!
Nice where is this
Awesome video...excellent, BUT GET RID OF THE HORRIBLE MUSIC...its horrible and ruins the viewing experience.
and so loud.........first I need to turn it down when plays music then up for conversation .so annoying.
Such a nice video, you guys... The music selection of soooo bad. Choose something more tranquil.
Great video! But why not get another 400 instead of a 300
+Colin Chiu Just a matter of budget. I was able to find the 300mm used and saved a bunch. The 1.4x telescoverter brings me just past 400mm so it's not bad!
Was thinking that the combination would be more expensive, but I guess whatever suits you, plus I was worried of the sharpness and all that 😊
Please keep uploading please please
Thanks for watching, we hope to have Day 2 up soon!
Your music choice is terrible, please there some attention too, it chased me away.
love these videos guys but the music really ruins the viewing experience SUBSCRIBED
