  • Our second day at Point Pelee had some pleasant surprizes including 2 lifers and some incredible photography.
We also ran into some "fans" of the Bird Nerds RUclips Channel, which totally caught us off guard!

Hey guys, really enjoying your videos by the way, just wanted to let you know that the bird shown at 6:07 is in fact a female Orchard Oriole and not a Scarlet Tanager. You can tell by the light wing bars, the two-toned slender curved beak and the tail feather arrangement.

We only have two species of sparrows in the U.K., house and tree. We also have dunlins which are often called hedge sparrows but they are in fact a totally different family. A really enjoyable video.

great channel guys! Pelee is great, you should try Prince Edward Point National Wildlife Area in Prince Edward County [ picton Area]. Just 3 less species than Pelee but concentrated in a much smaller area.

Some great birding there. It's no wonder you were tired, carrying all that heavy Canon kit around ;-)
