My wife doesn't really care about birds...or photography, but it's nice to find some kindred spirits who get geek out over the bird pictures they get. I love that thrill of getting a shot. I'm really partial to raptors, and here in Oklahoma, I'm lucky that I can find them pretty easily most times of the year. I don't know that I've ever had a 60 species day, but I do love when I come across something new that I haven't seen or photographed before. Anyway, I just stumbled upon this video, and I know I'm late to the party, but I just subbed and I'm looking forward to catching up on your stuff. =)
Every weekend I plan on getting out maybe drive to the shores of Lake Erie but I only end up in my back yard photographing local birds. I got to get out - ok next weekend for sure. Glad to see others are enjoying and having fun. Keep on shooting.
Awe geez ! What an amazing trip ! BTW, the Black Throated Blue Warbler is my nemesis Warbler. We actually had a rare vagrant come to Northern California last year, everyone and there grandmother was going and getting great shots of it. But I couldn't find time to squeeze in the 4 hr round trip, and missed it :( My life won't be complete until I get that bird ! :) TY for the cool video :)
Awesome. New vlog camera is a win. There are so many Baltimore Orioles in Ontario this year - constant in my back yard. That black throated blue warbler shot is money!!! Cheers.
I think it is so great that you two bird as a couple! I've been a birder since the mid 70's but never had a partner who was equally enthusiastic. LOL, my friends call me bird nerd.
You guys have inspired me to get out and see how many speces of birds I can find in my area (Illinois). I'm getting a nikkor 200-500mm f5.6 soon! Keep up the great work guys.
I've caught up on the previous videos and now am just waiting for some more videos now! It is really difficult to find dedicated bird watching/photography videos and vlogs, considering how many birders there are out there! Thanks Trevor and Ashley for the great content.
Another great video. Love the shots. We have the Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve and Nature Center here in Auburn, AL. It's run by the Forestry Dept at Auburn University. I'm anxious to get out with my new camera and see what I can do. Thanks for sharing your passion!
Hello fellow birders, a shout out from fabulous Las Vegas! It's funny how you guys get all excited over hummingbirds and I'm like "wish we can switch birding locations"..haha. I'm the same when I see warblers like yellow, orange-crowned, and wilson here in the desert. Thanks for sharing you awesome video! Ken
you folks ..you should definitely visit South Africa for its amazing bird and wild life and I guarantee that you will be so delighted ... I truly enjoyed your video .. Thank you !
There was a confirmed sighting of a Black-Throated Gray Warbler at McGee Marsh, across the lake from you, this year. Very unusual for this part of the country. You can't believe the excitement among the birders there.
I heard the guy speaking at the start of the video and I thought hey I know that voice, and it came to me …. It's Trevor from Astrobackyard. He has a great channel on Astrophotography that I tune in on a regular basis.
Congrats on the new vlogging camera and I hope it makes creating videos easier, but it’s all about content to me so I always think your videos are of a high quality. This is the best time of year for both species and activity as the birds create territories, build their nest and feed their young. The wonderful thing about your videos is your very real joy at seeing birds and new species, as always a great video.
I was looking for reviews from A sigma 120-300S with 7d MK II and landed here...watching someone taking pictures... and after watching 5 mins.. it hit me.. its AstroBackyard lol..Love your vids!
Great morning at Point Pelee N. Park... Gorgeous photographs Ashley & Trevor! The Black-throated blue warbler was a very well composed shot... Is that a new camera I see Ashley using? I have her 400mm lens & Trevor's 7D in my bag... However, I have the 5DM3 with a f/4, 24-105mm kit lens on it's way along with a battery grip & a Kirk L- Brkt for my landscape work... Once again great content here guys... Bill Farr, Vermont, USA...
Hi, i'm just curious how did you met each other? Very surprised that both of you are enjoying photograph and even both of you interested in birds! So amazing (My grammar might be wrong and hard to understand.)
Hi Guys! Every video getting better and better. Nice to see your photography quality increasing as well. Keep up the great work. Every species you mentioned made me excited. Wish I could afford to get out your way sometime. Off to Kamloops BC in about a week for great grey owls and songbirds. Take care and good light - Steve Large (The Owl Man).
Great video! Can you recommend a lightweight travel tripod that can hold the weight of a 7D and 400 5.6 lens? do the two of you use handholding most of the time? Without IS on my 400 I’m not getting a lot of keepers even with high shutter speeds. What can I be doing wrong Ashley?
We always handhold when we are shooting birds. Something we find helpful is to hold the lens past the middle closer to the end for better stability. Another option is to try a monopod for a little bit more mobility than a tripod. Happy shooting!
Fell apon your channel and right away wondered were are you from. Your order at Tim's was so fluid...Canadian I said lol. This video was lively so I think I shall subscribe.
I really like watching you're video and I just wanted too ask may you start posting more I really like you're videos have a great day I've watched this video like 6 times😂😁

“Was that your stomach?” 🤣
Very cool video, much more polished! Really enjoyed it. Great to see you are able to go all day with one lens and no tripod.

Thanks very much Steve, we appreciate your kind words! Good light to you.
What do you do to your pictures to make them look picture perfect? Do you use photoshop or any editing settings on your camera?
The first thing I thought when this video started was that you must have a new video camera. Looks great.
Which camera should i take for wildlife photography

You guys are like the dynamic duo. I enjoyed your video as a first time watcher. Where in Canada is this park?
Wish i would have the right lens to do some wildlife. Love this video! Great job
Sigma is your friend, the 150-500 OS HSM is cheap used and performs well for beginning bird photography.
Fell apon your channel and right away wondered were are you from. Your order at Tim's was so fluid...Canadian I said lol. This video was lively so I think I shall subscribe.
Thanks for the sub! Bang on, we're from Ontario, Canada :)
Great video guys! Thanks for sharing. What's the new vlogging camera you got? Are you on a gimbal or using IBIS?
Great to watch you guys, keep the videos coming. Do you ever use a tripod?
Awesome...you guys should check out Presqu'ile Point out in Brighton...
We have been meaning to get out there, heard good things!
Wow! @astrobackyard is also a bird photographer 👍
Appreciated the "Tommy Boy" reference!
Some places in India you can record 100+ in 2-3 hours. It because of species diversity here coupled with visitors during winter.
12:33 Wait a second that's not Soda! LOL
Do you use auto ISO for birds?
Hey. Whats the title of the first song?
Great video, thank you! What's the music at 6:10? It's lovely!
Nice. Whats the title of the first song?
Where did you guys meet? Asking for a friend:)
when where you in P.E.I?
Awesome. I love wildlife. Btw, whats the title of the intro music? Thanks
Your six pack of soda looks like beer to me!
I really like watching you're video and I just wanted too ask may you start posting more I really like you're videos have a great day I've watched this video like 6 times😂😁
I don't know if you saw the Red-necked Phalarope in the last seen when you were panning the shore birds.
We thought so and there were a few people asking about it while we were there. Thanks for pointing that out.
No problem always glad too help. Love you guys videos! And have the same camera.
You might have listed your vlogging camera along with your other cameras and lenses.
I just found your your channel. Looks like you both have the same lens. What is it. Thanks
Hi Harvey - we use 300mm and 400mm Canon lenses, you can find links in the description.

Am I the only one who caught the Tommy Boy reference to the refrigerator ?
13:39 just to let you know someone was creeping on you outside through the window!!??
