- Rugged has improved their popular Surge suppressor and updated it with new, great features. The Surge X now utilizes HUB mount, allowing for maximum compatibility with aftermarket mounting systems, and they've reworked the Adapt Module to give you more customization. The Surge X is essentially two silencers in one, thanks to its modularity and adaptability.

Bring back lives
So if i was to get this for my 5.56 ar i would need to order the 1/2 28 flashhider or muzzlebreak if im going to use the rum mount? Would i also need to order the 5.56 end cap?
Your correct, a 1/2x28 muzzle device. You could use the 5.56 end cap, and it would be slightly quieter, but it is not required.
Are the baffles removable and serviceable or is it just the end cap and hub mount?
It is a welded design, but you could use a solution like HUXWRX Suppressor sauce to clean it.
What happened to the dB tests you guys used to post? I was interested in the Surge or Surge X, but I can’t find any data on if the X is louder since it’s shorter.
We leave sound testing to test labs
@@SilencerShopwell im curious how this compares to the old surge since it's shorter
does this sound better than the alaskan on .308?
I prefer the Surge X, for my ears.
The Alaskan is lighter and allows use of larger calibers, so there are some trade offs.
Do you have a muzzle device that has a 14X1 LH THREAD PITCH?
Yes, there are multiple 14x1 muzzle devices available from many different manufacturers.
Rugged surge x orba surefire 300 sps for a Daniel defense pdw?
If you already have Surefire muzzle devices the 300SPS is awesome, otherwise the modularity of the surge can come in handy on a 300BLK.
I've never heard 6.5" suppressor referred to as a k can
Yeah, more like an S and an L, good call!
It's 5" without their rum QD
So, would it function on a 6.5 Grendel?
Yes it would!
So as someone who has no cares about weight or length, what I need to know is which one is truly better when concerning suppression.
I literally just did my stamp for the surge762 2 weeks ago lol. It’s going on a 20 inch barrel 308 rifle.
So SurgeX vs Surge762, which one is quieter?
In their full length configuration.
That’s the real question everyone wants to know lol.
They use the same baffle design, they should sound the same! Just a few modern-updates for the new model!
Would this be a good suppressor on a AR10?
Yes! Its a great option for an AR10
Jokes on you I only do stupid things. Thanks for the great video.
🤣
The weights you said are wrong ! Rugged web site says it’s 16.2 0z long and 11.07 oz short
Those are the weights without the RUM mount, we gave the weights as it comes in the box, ready to shoot!
Buy rugged cans, had to file three warranty claims on my various cans, due to my own stupidity, and they’re way better than silencerco or surefire.
Bruh 3 claims stop doing whatever you're doing
Wish the would've used titanium construction like the Radiant
The Surge is built for maximum durability, so steel and cobalt-r were selected.
Whats the difference between this and Surge Bypass #CAT #SPECTRECAT
Surge Bypass is a backpressure reduction tech that CAT uses in their ODB and WB silencers.
@@SilencerShop I’m just joking about the name being similar, I’m very familiar with CAT
Rugged's Surge is the description of backpressure this can will produce. CAT'S Surge Bypass is how they prevent it. 😅
@@TheGreatDaneR nice one
