    Be vulnerable, act with speed and be transparent. Hold true to a core value that is well communicated. Empower others and ask for help when needed. This is the new demonstration of confidence and effective leadership.

      Somehow agree....... 😅.... be vulnerable by asking for help (but not showing that we are shaken) 😁

      Compassion = strength.
      This can easily be proven by the fact that *all* heroes endeavor to selflessly help others, and or to defend those less able to defend themselves. Compassion is the driving strength for all heroes.

  • @mikemccarthy1638

    Another good example is Elon Musk, a physicist, engineer & entrepreneur. Having accumulated a large sum from PayPal, he started SpaceX. He realized that the politics of the Congressional-NASA-contractor triangle was dysfunctional. So he built a vertically-integrated orbital launch company w/out the politically-connected sub-contractors that were weighing down NASA w/ excessive R&D and mfg. costs. He hired the best talent and motivated them w/ magnificent missions & challenging goals. Same thing w/ Tesla.
    In both cases, and in his other ventures, he was unusually transparent and publicly available. But w/ Tesla in particular, after taking the company public. He negotiated a return to mid-20th Century corporate social responsibility, leading Tesla’s stockholders & directors to embrace a public interest corporate mission: “To Accelerate the Transition to Sustainable Energy” (the version after expanding into energy storage and solar).
    In his many public conversations, he has consistently chosen directions for Tesla that are consistent w/ its mission, which is international in scope. His choices in how he has expanded to other countries have exhibited the best qualities one might find in a Secretary of State👩‍💼 - both in plant location and investment in host country infrastructure. (His experiences as an immigrant from S. Africa w/ a working class background have contributed to his empathy for the realities in other countries not shared by many Americans.)
    In Germany, he’d done his homework on the multi-decade reunification effort, which is still incomplete. (Its effort, beyond just uniting the two Germanys, arose from an understanding that the weaknesses of the Central European countries invited the territorial ambitions of powers in the West and the East, ending in a world war.) He negotiated a site in the East, outside Berlin, that met Tesla’s need while furthering German national interests. If further sites are needed, locating in Poland, Czechia or Austria, rather than in western Germany, may actually be in Germany’s national interests.

    I agree with every key point, BUT this is TOO shallow. We are far from the beach! Evey family may not have a stockpile of supplies and could and would be at a state of unrest in a week if not days. Now, that is DANGEROUS. What would most modern families due? Panic buy everything... then take from others later? Would we have marshal law to keep law and order? A lockdown sounds so easy in a broken theory and yet in reality it would be chaos... the more you know.
