Little tip for changing the oil filter. Take a gallon ziploc bag put it over the filter as u unscrew it. Let the filter drop into the bag and hold the top open for a few seconds. Seal the bag and pull it out through the wheel well. I do that on my Cummins and don’t get a drop on my hand or the truck lol.

Just some advise to you guys buying that 28m socket for that fuel filter in the engine compartment. Make sure you buy a 6 point socket, it won't slip like a 12 point socket. Also, in case your cap cracks or the edges round off from a 12 point socket, Geno's sells an aluminum cap.
2018 Ram Dually service finished, OIL/Filter both Fuel Filters. Thanks for the help it all worked Great, Used a 6pt 1/8 Socket and worked good. Found the Mopar oil Filter at Walmart and both Mopar Fuel Filters at O'reilleys, Shell T6 at Walmart for 26.13 Gallon. BRIAN from AZ

When I got my 2020 Ram the dealer had a oil change package for $900. Included 15 oil changes. I do the fuel filters myself. Good DIY video I enjoy the pops series

Quick tip. Once you get the filter on the bottom loose enough to turn it by hand put a zip lock bag over it and catch the fuel. Dont reuse the fuel. Lol
I pour used fuel in my dirty fuel canister for using later to start my burn pile.
I’ve seen so many ppl struggling with the oil filter. Do it from the top. Then at least with all the intake piping out of the way you can check your shaft play on your turbo. It’s a good thing to keep an eye on every oil change.
exactly what I found out. I still put the oil filter back on from the side for some reason its easier for me that way
I change mine once a month fuel filters and oil change cost $300 at the dealership we’re I get mine done at.Tire rotation is another $25 so it’s $3900 for the hole year I spend.

A little more advice guys. Get remote mount oil and fuel filter kits. It moves the location of the filters. Well worth the money. AND you can use better filters.

Have you tried using an extraction pump for your oil? Beats having to slide around on your back to drain the oil although you have to do that for the bottom fuel filter anyway.
I use one on my VW TDi. Granted it’s a much smaller job but the principle is the same.

For both my fuel filters and oil change at the dealers it cost 600-750 bucks I’ve only had it done by the dealer twice because after the second time everything was over torqued and the bolt for the drain was stripped.

Hey Bennii, I just bought a new 3500 just like Tiffany and I have and order in for a 22GN 35+5 trailer. According to the specs on the trailer and measurements I took on my truck, it looks like I’m gonna be just a few inches over length. From what I could tell in your vids it doesn’t look like you’re running a slider on your 5th wheel so I’m curious what your length is and if it’s a couple of inches over has that been a prob for you with DOT.

Quick question what years are your ram 3500 Cummins? If I remember correctly, there should be 2 fuel filters for 2019 or newer rem 3500 Cummins.
Just looked it the last for a single fuel filter for the ram 3500 Cummins is in 2006.

How often do you do your oil change?
You don’t need that oil filter ratchets if you don’t over tighten it.. no disrespect just friendly advice.. we do ours on the road take less than 15 mins
Now, how do you erase the service warning lights on the truck after oil change?
On the dash, go into the tyre pressure screen toggle along until you see oil and hold the toggle button until it resets to 100% . Do the same for the fuel.
I prefer to keep my warranty since it's new. Once that's out the window then I will consider changing my own.

I specifically asked and all he said was I would have proof that the oil changes are done on time in case something does go wrong with the engine. That's my case. I rather play it safe. My comment is for the people who don't know if that's their case, to be aware, that's it bud.

The fifth gens require 10w30 or 5w40. They don’t like 15w40 and will not run the same as 5w40
5th gens have hydraulic lifters. Can’t run 15w-40 anymore.
