- JUST in the nick of time, here are a few of the games I grabbed during the Steam Spring Sale so far. I don't know if I'll do another full video dedicated to Steam's Spring Sale, but at least a few more will definitely make an appearance in next month's pickups video. But for now, here are some of my top picks from the first round and please let me know what you grabbed as well!

Just some feedback: since you talk about some pretty obscure titles it might be worth including the name of the game in the chapter titles (or displaying them on-screen at all time).
Picked up Solar Ash, it's been a mix of gorgeous, fun and frustrating -- hoping the latter lessens as I play more.

I picked up days gone, horizon zero west, both blasphemous games, ender lilies, hollow Knight, and bloodstained. All for the steam deck
Days Gone is SO underrated!
I picked up Yakuza 3 Remastered, Hellblade, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, Euro Truck Simulator, Tomb Raider, Lake, and House of The Dying Sun. All Deck verified or playable. Pretty good sale this year! Thanks for the uploads, although they're becoming less frequent.
Nice pickups, Steve! Lake in particular was a chill time I found :) No problem and I'm taking this week off to re-focus. Just an eternal battle wondering if one list style video a week makes more sense or if I do that AND an off-the-cuff, but I don't wanna bore people with the latter if they don't dig my opinions on a singular title ya know? Either way there will ALWAYS be some videos here I promise you XD
Nice pickups! I didn't get anything on Steam because of all my previous purchases that I've mentioned you before but I have all the games you've mentioned besides the Dino game. They're all in my backlog though lol! Great video and keep up the good work!

During the sale, I also picked up Cuphead, Broforce, Sackboy, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, and Kaze and the Wild Masks (can't remember how I initially heard about Kaze. Might've been one of your vids?)

LoL well I did my best to not reveal anything- I ALMOST went so far as to show some of the prettier scenes from the mansion, and to blur the text accompanying them but figured it'd be best to forego it entirely. hope you dig it, Kevin!

Hey, Josh, I just picked Trek to Yomi Ultimate Edition. I will try to play it soon because I love Feudal Japan, great video as always, I hope things are doing well.
That was one of the first games i bought when i got my steam deck, unfortunately i refuned it because the game would freeze/crash withing 5 to 10 minutes. It was a beautiful looking game tho

@@miguelsantos84 i didnt do research before buying, turns out others experience the same in Steam community discussions, since then i look for gameplays online to see if they work or not on steam deck

Glad you enjoyed it! I HAVE Sayonara and Midnight but haven't finished yet. Huntdown I grabbed last month and WOW that's a great time!
I had never played CrossCode either, saw they had a demo so downloaded it. I completely agree with all your comments on it, the story a little long for me, I am more on the side of "get to the action/combat!" but the combat is smooth and I love the cut scenes, worth the pickup especially being on sale now (for another hour it looks like!). I also picked up two games that were on my wishlist for a while, also pixel graphics, Flinthook and Nuclear Blaze, haven't played either yet, hopefully I don't regret the purchases. Excellent video as always, thank you!

I picked up the monster hunter complete pack. I think it has world with all the expansions, rise with all the expansions, and legends 2. So far I’ve been having a blast with world.
ONE day I'm gonna take another honest run at the Monster Hunter series, but even when it's at its best (which, for me would be Rise), I always seem to get away from it sadly.
Weirdly enough the only games I grabbed for the Steam Deck from the Spring Sale was Pseudoregalia, GearBits and 7 Days To Die.
I don't even think Pseudoregalia was on sale but from my understanding its made by one person and the movement in this game rocks. GearBits is like a simpler Armor Core with a PS2 almost kind of look which has been super fun and 7 Days To Die is just zombie survival which runs great.
That said, during the last day of the sale I found out that Humble Bundle was doing a game bundle called 'Humble Heroines' which cut down on how much i was originally going to pay for 2 games on the Steam sale, main ones from the Bundle I looked forward to being Wanted Dead, Eastward and Chorvs.
I would have added Metal Hellsinger as well to the list cause it does work on the Steam Deck, but the game is a rhythm shooter and personally needs a higher fps to play properly, so its probably wiser to play it on PC.
Tether you had me at PS2 kinda look :p Wanted Dead is GREAT, Eastward I still haven't started tragically and Chorvs I've put a few hours into but really enjoyed my time with it so far.
@@YourPlayer2 I figured the 'PS2 styled' would get ya, but I also forgot to mention that Pseudoregalia is in the style of a N64 game as well.
So enjoy that as well if you haven't tried it as well.
I picked up:
Halo MCC (only played it a bit on PC, not steam deck, but was a bit bummed that Microsoft immediately syncs your achievements with your Xbox account so I got like 80 achievements and won't get any more playing through the first couple games...)
Kaze and the wild masks (finally 😂 but haven't tried it yet)
Chrono trigger (started playing this on deck, it's extremely low demand, makes sense as it was a snes game... It even runs well with tdp limit set to 3 watt! But with 4 the framerate is more stable 60. It's pretty fun so far but I barely scratched the surface)
Well, and I picked up a buttload of VR games but that was from fanatical, not the steam sale 😅
I already have cross code but didn't get very far... Maybe I should give it another try on the steam deck.
Funny that you're featuring a dino game too, I was trying this Jurassic park game on my quest this afternoon that had me hiding in lockers and under desks while a velociraptor was searching around... Pretty cool stuff! Makes me think maybe I should finally give alien isolation a try too... In VR, if I'm brave enough 😂

I'm going to play through Chrono Trigger one day myself BUT- I have a CIB copy of it for the DS and that's where I'll likely be playing it :)
There's a VR JP game?! I might have to check that out but that sounds terrifying :p
@@YourPlayer2 yeah, Jurassic world aftermath collection. Has you going back to isla nubar after everything was destroyed... It's pretty basic and objectively it seems like the dinos shouldn't be that scary as they are pretty easy to avoid and even if they see you, as long as you stay in cover for a little while they forget about you really quickly again... But still for some reason they're just the right kind of terrifying to me :)
I picked up Roadwarden and Disco Elysium (I know, I know). Might check out your first recommendation, too. Thanks!
What's wrong with Elysium?! Heard it was great :) As for Roadwarden I'll check out the demo but that looks like a good time too!
Picked up Titan fall 2 ultimate edition and Star Wars Battlefront 2 Celebration Edition for $8. Both run at 60fps
Very nice! Titanfall 2 definitely runs solid on Deck.

First big steam sale i have gotten thru since getting the deck without buying anything i stayed strong gonna try my best to stay on a no buy until i work thru a chunk of my backlog

Persona 3 Reload has sent me on a JRPG kick so I picked up Dragon Quest XI and Trails in the Sky FC
That's on my list for AFTER I finish Rebirth and probably Dragon's Dogma 2! Started it and always wanted to finish it ever since I lost my original save way back on the PSP!
I picked up Crisis Core, FF7 Remake and The 7th Guest.
I NEED to finish Crisis Core but at this point I'm so deep into Rebirth I'll have to back burner it for now. The 7th Guest remake?!

Did you have to do work arounds for Crosscode? Unless they updated it, it has a lot of issues on Steam Deck in my experience, without work arounds.

To anyone having trouble with that one, if you change the compatibility to the one that says Linux and not proton, it will work fine. It's because it's running the windows version and needs to be the Linux version, is my understanding.
I've been flirting with the idea of RE6 for a long time, and I think I'm happy with pulling the trigger on it.
Hey, did you know that SPOOKWARE is a funny, WarioWare-like with horror theming? There's even a demo (lesser quality) in SPOOKWARE:Watch Party?
SPOOKWARE you say? First I've heard of it! :p But RE6 is hopefully going to at LEAST be a passable time.
Definitely recommend HOB, it has that isometric view like Death's Door and little bit of the same fighting systems. It's pretty good so far, picked it up just for $4. Shout out to the #GamingCircle podcast K Asante for the great recommendation.

I picked up homeworld remastered collection and deserts of kharak for 6 bucks total and then I got two point campus with all dlc and the xcom 2 collection all for 25 dollars
Never played Homeworld, but I do like SOME RTS games in the vein of Command and Conquer, at least.
I haven’t bought anything this sale. Maybe this video will break me lol. I have almost 500 steam games. So far I’ve only bought persona 3 reload and SMT 5 vengeance on steam this year and have been playing my backlog and emulation mostly. Which I am pretty glad to be doing rather than looking to add to my backlog.
Hehehe did ya end up grabbing anything? Persona 3 is one I'm hoping to beat this year after I beat rebirth into submission.
@@YourPlayer2 I did not. I barely resisted buying a ps5 after ff16 came out but now that rebirth is out I’ve been debating giving in and getting one finally. I know it will eventually come to pc but this might be the game to finally break me and get me to buy a ps5
