Such a sad history, yet they persevered and gained independence.. I am grateful you filmed here and shed light on the history. The street lights are lovely it seems to be a vibrant lively city. Glad to learn Bangladesh is known for silk
I just came back from Rajshahi today after taking an admission test at Rajshahi University, and I have to tell you, man, it is by far the best city I've visited. It's so neat and peaceful compared to other cities. I didn't want to leave and wanted to stay for at least a month, but my parents had to return to Dhaka for some important work. Rajshahi is actually the best city to live in Bangladesh.
I needed this video this morning as I was having my coffee.☕. It touched my heart and I was embraced by humanity to see you friend inscripe and present a book of his poetry to you. The world is in such turmoil with the US election year , the war in Ukraine , US border and immigration problems and the genocide inflicted upon Palestine by Israel. It was nice to see human beings being kind to one another. I've never considered Bangladesh as a tourist destination but I am now. Jason , have you ever considered Patagonia? Friends just got back from there and it seems like a perfect fit for you. Of course, you are so laid back , youd fit in anywhere. Good work as always!💯🎯
Thank you so much for visiting Rajshahi city in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is our motherland and It is a beautiful country of Asia. The Cox's Bazar sea beach ( largest sea beach in the world), the beautiful mountains of Sylhet division and Chittagong division,, Sundarban ( the largest mangrove forest of the world) which is located in Barisal and Khulna division, Saint Martin Island which is located in the Bay of Bangle, are some of visiting place which are naturally beautiful places of Bangladesh. Love from Bangladesh ❤ And we stay with Palestine 💝
Thank you jason for visiting Rajshahi. I was born in Rajshahi and grew up here. I am currently a student of Rajshahi University ,therefore, I appreciate you bringing out the history of our struggle through the different monuments here in the RU. Yes, we are a small city, but this city is full of joy, laughter and much more natural scenery. I love the Padma river and often go to the River banks to enjoy a good time with my friends. Do come here and enjoy, I guarantee you would enjoy it
Even being a Bangladeshi, I've never been in Rajshahi not even watched any vlog made in there. Thank you for showing me such a good video on one of the beautiful cities in Bangladesh. ❤
I was born in this city, and grew up here. I have seen how the city has changed from a sleepy, yet dirty city to a vibrant clean city now. Too many memories here. I'm wondering whether your guide explained the two murals in the University Campus, one behind the Shaheed Minar and the other on the open air stage, in front of the Liberation War Museum. These were done by a famous Bangladeshi painter/sculptor, and as a child we used to rush there every day to see the progress. Great to see you also visited my college... Rajshahi College, the third oldest college of Bangladesh. It's also the first institution in Bangladesh to offer Masters level education. Good luck with your travels through Bangladesh!
Thank you so much for these wonderful videos. I've been to N Bangladesh 2x on medical missionary trips 2015 and 16. I too love the people. The kindness is very special. These videos help me to share with others what some types of life are like there. I will return in 2025. I'm so looking forward to being back in a country I deeply love and support. With all my heart I miss my loved ones I call MY FAMILY IN BANGLADESH. Working in Bangladesh is definitely life changing and moving. Thank you again for visiting a precious people that the world seems to ignore
Thank you for bringing up the 1971 genocide carried on by the Pakistani army against the Bengalis. Not many international tourists tend to talk about these topics and as a result a genocide of 3 million people over a span of just 9 months still remains relatively unknown.
Thanks for visiting our city!!!! Every tourist who visit bangladesh don"t visit rajshahi, but I think if they visit this part of the country it won't disappoint them.. thanks again for visiting rahshahi...
Wish the World will be peaceful ,I really feel so sad about what those people are suffered caused by conflict, First time I know about Bangladesh, the Bangladeshi are so friendly and kind! Thank you ,Jason!
I deeply appreciate what so many of you friends from Bangladesh have said - I am going to be scheduling a trip as soon as I can. There is something very special about the way you guys have reached out about your country and the basic attitude of people that draws me as I clearly see that it does Jason. Humble thanks, guys!
13:33 That's literally the clinic I was born in. That University in the beginning was where my parents went to. I've moved to the US 14 years ago and haven't visited that city in 10 years. But this video brings back so many nostalgic memories. I remember riding my bicycle all over that city back in 2007.
I am from Bangladesh...❤ I love my country........❤ Bangladesh is really natural beautiful country....❤ I respect all county..........❤ Rajshahi is wonderful city of Bangladesh ..❤
Went to Rajshahi twice during my admission tests is RU and RUET.Instantly fell in love with the city. The city is clean and tidy, there is no traffic jam like Dhaka, less crowd than Dhaka. The people are very humble and well mannered.
In capitalism, people tends to live on capital city and all the facilities revolves around it. Bangladesh is one of the prime example of it. And that's why Dhaka is overpopulated compared to Rajshahi. Rajshahi has all the things a city can offer except the lack of employment.
Please, Come to kushtia city. It is called as cultural capital of Bangladesh. It has the only RUclips Village in the world. It has also the lergest building in Bangladesh. Kushtia is situated near Rajshahi, so you can easily come to kushtia from Rajshahi by Train Or Bus.
Amazing video. Rajshahi is very beautiful city, including the architecture. And the people are so friendly. I knew very little about Bangladesh's independence from Pakistan, so it was good to hear something about it.
I. get the impression that Bangladesh is not a place you go for 'sites' but for the atmosphere and the people both of which look amazing......is that true?
You have to do a deep research on it. Chittagong Hill tract areas, waterfalls of bandarban, swamp forest in Sylhet, sundarban mangrove forest, sea beaches with less people and rural areas are the attraction of Bangladesh.
Nah you need to know what you're doing and how you're doing it. I saw this guy too was judging the whole cuisine by what he ate at a house, when there's the most delicious and delicacies available at Dhaka . They also don't know about the sites, You can see in the internet the following places : 1.Coxs bazar beach. 2.Debotakhum 3.Moheshkhali 4.Paharpur 5.sundarban 6.bandarban 7.Ahsan manjil 8.60 domed mosque 9.Rangamati 10.Cumilla There are much more ,you just need to do a bit research .
rajshahi is truly amazing. being a dhaka-ite my love for the city is immense even though it is not organized, full of traffic and many more complains but if someday i feel like leaving dhaka and settling in a small beautiful town rajshahi would be a tough contender
The Bengal region has been through so much, from being one of the most wealthiest areas in the world during the Mughal empire due to worldwide export of cotton, to being deindustrialised and stripped off resources by Britain to fund their own Industrial Revolution and the famines they caused resulting in millions dying, to the genocide by Pakistan and a corrupt government running on threats and nepotism. The student protests will hopefully be a turning point, but who knows. It’s hard to come back from all that and powerful people take advantage of chaos
Rajshahi is underrated. It’s much better planned than most places in BD. It seems clean and has a proper plans. It’s also got lots of unis where many foreign students come to study as its cheaper and affordable. Problem is Bangladesh is too centralised and Dhaka the big organised chaos city gets everywhere yet it still get fix up. Rajshahi needs more funds more housing, residential areas Highrisers might tempted others to move there
The north and west is indeed a much calmer place. Much of our rapid industrialization happened in what we call the Dhaka-Chittagong corridor in the east.
India made a barrage “Farakka” to protect water to Bangladesh by which the environment of our north Bengal is in a dire situation. 45 international rivers including the Padma river are blocked by India . After two months, if you will come you feel a weather like desert . It’s very pathetic for our nation. Thanks brother for visit my city .
What a great video. Very sad what happened there thank you for telling us. Also bless you, all that way and you get some tourist bumbling into your shot! 11:34
Rajshahi is a big city of 120 sq km, city area population is 700,000 & metro area is 900 sq km, population is 1.5 million. It has more greener & much more bigger area than shown on video. In this video you’ve explored only 2% of Rajshahi especially the old area of the city, buildings mostly from 70 years to 100 years old. Rajshahi is the greenest & cleanest city in whole Bangladesh, miles ahead of Dhaka in terms of cleanliness, greenest & well-planned etc I think 2nd cleanest city is Rangpur & then Khulna City in the country etc ❤
Hi Jason, hope you are well Thank you for the information. I did not know that Pakistan was exterminating the good Muslim people of Bangladesh. This made me sad 💔😭
Thnx a lot jason for upholding such fabulous impression about my hometown Rajshahi ❤❤.. I hope my country gets more appreciation from Western counties ❤
Bro what a coincidence,I was remembering you just 2 days ago but I just forgot your channel name and today your channel suddenly popped up! (I used to follow you from Pakistan tour, but my previous email account is changed so I lost the track of your channel) so happy to see you after ages!

i have had the same impression by many travelers. I'm sure you'll enjoy the sites also but yeah the people and the atmosphere is one of the USPs
Sites are also good
You have to do a deep research on it. Chittagong Hill tract areas, waterfalls of bandarban, swamp forest in Sylhet, sundarban mangrove forest, sea beaches with less people and rural areas are the attraction of Bangladesh.

Really this is the cleanest city of Bangladesh
The Bengal region has been through so much, from being one of the most wealthiest areas in the world during the Mughal empire due to worldwide export of cotton, to being deindustrialised and stripped off resources by Britain to fund their own Industrial Revolution and the famines they caused resulting in millions dying, to the genocide by Pakistan and a corrupt government running on threats and nepotism. The student protests will hopefully be a turning point, but who knows. It’s hard to come back from all that and powerful people take advantage of chaos
Thanks for displaying the good part of Bangladesh in a beautiful way.
Silk is the best thing that Bangladesh produces and British tried to kill it but failed.
