I had done a lot of research before going, so tried a lot of the most recommended stuff. You are right - the biryani with basmati is nothing in front of those delicious small grains. Its okay sister.we all are bengali whatever we are muslim or hundu.the first identity is we are bengali.we were the most smart rich and peace lover nation in indian subcontinent before British. The one thing hurts me that before separation of india our political leaders wanted the independence of united bengal and British were ready to declare bengal independence. But some main hindu leaders from west bengal opposed the deal and thats why bengal couldn't get independence. Later pakistan and then Bangladesh.

Best thing about this is, you experienced the most authentic Bangladeshi celebration/occasion food. The scent of that white polao, that slightly sweet chicken and everything are staples in Bangladeshi households to enjoy a nice weekend with family

Now, living for over year in the UK as a foreign student from Bangladesh, this fills my heart with both joy and sadness. The hospitality of Bangladeshi people out weighs any first world nation where people are individualistic and formal. This shows it doesn't matter how rich you are, having loved ones in your life is as important as having a successful career.
Not only for foreigners, I travelled to most of the districts and I can definitely say that Bangladeshi people also get the best treatment from their fellow countrymen.

In the U.K you would have to ask the BAME, in Bangladesh all the indigenous people( the 11 tribes) plus the Hindus, Christians, Buddhists. If you ask a white person in the U.K about the negligence faced on a daily basis by a member of the BAME community, they would have no idea as they have never had to face this in their life. Similary, if you asked a Hindu in India about racism in India, they would never portray the true picture

I have spent 6-7 summer vacation in the English cities and villages working as waiter and also worked 2 years in Bangladesh with English people in a big multinational company as an Engineer(first job) in the late 70's and 80s. In 1986-87 continiously lived for 15 months to make some money to fund my studied in North America.

The fact that I live in Toronto as a bachelor and seeing this Bengali dishes make me wanna go back to my country. The only reason I miss Bangladesh is home made food. And here in canada sadly I don’t have anyone who will cook for me 😢

@@minariv8300 there is but it’s not like Bangladesh hotels. This are all fine dine ins. You have to pay 💰 to eat and it doesn’t come cheap.

@@minariv8300 what I am trying to say is that Bachelor here don’t have the luxury to have someone cook Bengali food for us or have food ready on table like we have in Bangladesh. That’s why I miss bd. Here you have to do all alone from buying groceries to cooking it and also doing full time job at the same time.

Jason speaks pure English and most English people do not talk as you see on TV. Among the politicians Maggie Thatcher and David Cameron speak with pure English accents. Northern England, Welsh, Scottish, and Irish have their own accents. I have spent 6-7 summer vacation in the English cities and villages working as waiter and also worked 2 years in Bangladesh with English people in a big multinational company as an Engineer(first job) in the late 70's and 80s. In 1986-87 continiously lived for 15 months to make some money to fund my studied in North America.
