Actually in weddings in Bangladesh food is free, but people just bring gifts if they want specially if they know the families of both sides, but any visitors doesn't have to give anything... in my wedding i didn't care who was invited or came, and it was similar without music.

in bangladesh every area had there different culture and the weddings are also done differently in dhaka you should try a wedding that will be really good experience for you but you thought that was a silent but its not the wedding fest was silent but the wedding party was held one or two days before the wedding in that people enjoy dance and do an program called( Holud ) its a tradition in bangladesh and that man told you about to give rice , meat, butter etc is not like that you get confused he told you about the food you have in the weeding normally people give gifts like the thing that bride or groom needed in there new family to us like ( tv , microwave or kitchen accessories ect) and also give money to the wedding and that money part is like who get the invitation he or she will give the money to the person who gives the invitation if you invited alone you will go alone if you invited with family you can go with your family. i hope it will help you to know the concept properly . love from bangladesh.

There may have another feast normally the next day where the fest is arranged by the grooms family. Food is free for the invitees. 4. Hand washing on plates: Normally the event management party worker washes the plates but it may not washed properly. So people want to wash it again on table. Wash basin not easy for rural functions.
Our marriage ceremony are three parts. First called Gaiholud then called bia(marriage day) and then bowvat. This ceremony are arrange three different days. First day (Gaiholud) arrange lots of music and dance in our village marriage ceremony. Then two days just eating and eating. You called sealant marriage. Thank you for represent our country and culture.
