Mr. Carlos in your 31 minutes video you forgot all the positives, all the good experiences, people who responded, people who smiled, people who helped you rather your focus was only on that one person. You have highlighted only that negativity in your video. You have come to India to earn for yourself. So this is the country which gives you bread and butter. Try to show its positive side also rather focusing only on negatives
Negativity sells. Can't expect much from westerners because they're too used to the 'poverty porn' of India. God forbid if they say something nice about the 3rd world people.
As a Western foreigner, you will likely have a 90% positive experience, and people will smile. Other foreigners may face different experiences, which can depend on their skin color.
As an Indian from the north side in India northeast India and South Indian are very friendly most of them are really good in terms of behaviour with tourists.
Try to visit other cities instead of visiting capital of every states in India. Im sure that you'll love the beauty of the country and people. Also, talk in detail when you're seeking for any recommendations.
Hello Carlos the restaurant was nice but you don’t mix all the 5-6 types of vegetables and lentils with rice at one time, rather mix and eat one by one would be more tasty. Good luck for further vlogs in India. 🇮🇳

Language barrier. But Tamil people have a history for being rude and picking fights and being overly proud even if they have nothing to stand for. Jallikattu should be banned and never allowed.
Carlos, plan before you travel to avoid problems and crises! People from foreign countries think India is showing good culture in society, but the actual truth is most people treat others very badly, including their own fellow citizens. You know I'm from India, in Tamil Nadu, from Kanyakumari. Why am I mentioning this here? Because I have experiences. The way of treating others in India is often very poor, although not everyone treats others badly; there are some good people too. I'm feeling very sad, Carlos. What happened to you on the bus? I'm shocked that they are treating foreigners in such a bad way. As an Indian citizen, I feel terrible. Love you, Carlos. Don't worry, we're with you now and forever. ❤
Thanks for your kind feedback! In my opinion almost every Indian person that I've met so far was friendly. There are always exceptions in every country. But to be honest, I think the old man was confused or offended when I said 'I don't know'. Maybe that's why he acted like that
Speak for ur state or place coz in my bihar (which most of u stereotype negatively) has the most helping ppl in public, they always come for help whenever needed even the locals if see other other locals in problem, without even asking for help, they just self-approach if see and not leave till they assured we r ok or our problem solved
You made a mess on the table. Use spoon to add different curries to the rice. You could have used the spoon for eating if not comfortable using your hand. Looks you liked the food.
@WildCARLOSappeared 1. Pickles (most commonly made out of lemons and mangoes - sour tasting) are served with rice meals and is supposed to be taken little, preferably licked while you have yogurt rice. I saw you gulping the whole piece and it must have been way too sour and salty. 2. They serve chapati (flat bread) along with rice and it is supposed to be eaten with a creamy veggie (1 out of those 7) 3. Rest all were different curries to be mixed with rice and are not supposed to be mixed together. You can still do so if you like the taste (only at home) 4. Papad (the crispy cracker) is just to give the crisp while eating rice and payasam(porridge) 5. After finishing a heavy rice meal, usually they serve sweet paan (you said it right. It is betel leaf) with sweet rose petals and no they don't add betel nut in it and you can chew and swallow the whole thing. It aids in digestion 6. Chai/chaya is the hindi/malayalam equivalent for TEA 7. In tamilnadu, people don't have latte, cappuccino, macchiato, flat white etc. You get filter coffee with sugar and milk. You can ask for strong or light so that the amount of coffee varies. Likewise for sugar and milk. If you ask coffee, it is just filter coffee or plain coffee in most regions of India unless you visit a high end coffee retail shop.
When you try sherbet, a sweetened drink without milk, try "Nannaari" which is a plant root. This essence is believed to cool our body if you have consumed spicy food or have been out in the sun for long.
That old man was indeed rude. This is not the way to treat foreign tourists. See the old man's expressions. Be polite. Be friendly. The tourism industry will flourish only if you treat foreigners with respect & dignity. The old man should have politely requested him to buy the ticket. The bus conductor rightly said "Don't talk like that".
I am from Chennai.. Apologize for that old man's behaviour. we Chennai people are best known for hospitality and treat others in a good manner... That old man is really a sick guy.. .. Language barrier could be the reason
Good joke. South India is the most angriest place on earth... How are people surviving there? Afghanistan and Pakistan seem like safer countries. Never seen Pashtun or Balochi ever behave so rudely with any foreigner. Maybe foreigners have some fear because of Islamic countries. But still, nobody is as scary as South Indians...
It's absolutely a communication gap when a man enters a bus with a camera, and obviously, it irritates a few people. Not everyone is the same; people really don't like such actions. I believe he was not rude, but he might have thought you were a stranger, responding in a way that put him in an awkward situation. Even your response was not polite when you said, "I want to show your country how beautiful it is." Whatever country you are from, you should respect the people and their different cultures.
26:20 In Tamil Nadu, the destination says what the price is. As he didnt know his destination, they couldnt price him. But it countries like Norway, the have region tickets for 1h-1month example for Oslo. Two different systems
Some of the comments are crazy, saying the old man wasn't rude. When a clear foreigner is in your country and just taking a simple bus ride to wherever looks nice, that's actually amazing and the epitome of traveling alone and back packing, you don't just say "then get off the bus!". And if you defend this behavior you're part of the problem. But when you do a whole video and only pump in to one rude person, that's some good odds. Most Indians and Tamils I met in my life have been wonderful people
well even as a native, so far I've observed almost everyone seems to lack basic human grace and humility, whenever I try to be nice and greet someone they barely reciprocate the gesture, ungrateful when being helped and so full of conceit to be kind.
What happens that in Govt buses , there are random surprise checkings to check whether ticket collector has given tickets to pasangers or is he allowing people to travel without buying a ticket in exchange of little bribe which is less than cost of ticket . If any passanger gets caught without ticket the passanger may get away by paying fine but bus conductor may get suspended from his job .. so he's asking to get down as u had no ticket also u dint tell him the place till where he'd issue a ticket. He is just saving his job.
It's very odd to get into a bus here and say "I don't know where to go". Do you do that in Germany? At least ask for the last stop / max ticket. "Get down from the bus" guy may have meant "You may get down now so that you don't get lost" but that was rude of him...
When we visit a country we must expect bad experiences. It happens everywhere. For example, a lot of tourists complain about bad experiences here in Rio de Janeiro and they have the right to criticise all the bad stuff here.
Actually , in old man in india are like that man, there one screw is loose and they are nit arrogant for no reason. All are not same, few are like that. Overall you cant rate whole community bad for it. I like your vlog and you perfectly handled the situations. Good work
No worries ✌️ After incidents like that I usually find a bunch of very friendly people. I'll upload another video soon where I meat another man who told me that I needed a permission to film on a 2nd hand trash market 😂
In foreign countries usually people pay for the bus ride and you can get off whereever you want, in some situation the bus ticket can be used in other buses also, insted of trashing him try to understand whats going on, buddy go to Kerala for a much peaceful experience.
Of course old man was very rude. I think you handled that situation very calm. If someone was there definitely that old man was got kicked on face. Government has changed lot now days, previous its was there like if you pay Rs. 30/- you can travel any bus (one day pass) in Chennai for old day. It happens in Tamil Nadu especially in chennai like big city. Might be reason people are moving to European and North America Counties. All the best. Hope Govt will get updated soon.
Sir whenever u travel in bus try to buy a day pass so if u get in a wrong bus u can stop the bus and get down and this pass is valid for one day u can get in any bus So buy metro pass it will be good
I dont know what the problem that passenger but the conductor said is no no dont say to him to get down his our tourist we have to help him . Good man, bus conductor

The first 90% percent of your vdo was good treatment by ppl, but you have put (bad experience) in the title. I noticed in most of your vdos you focus only on one bad experience, which could have happened anywhere in the world. Is it clickbait, or you deliberately don't want to focus on the good parts of your travel. It's not that he burgled or scammed you, just suggested, if you don't know your destination It's better to get off and take the right bus, (instead of getting lost) 😊 Much of conflicts in communication happens due to language barrier and unable to translate properly Better luck next time
I see cities in India like the city in Jakarta in the 90s and there are no buses like Trans Jakarta and the city is not clean in Indian cities, that doesn't mean that in Jakarta the people are cleaners but at least there are Jakarta officers to clean so that Jakarta remains clean unlike in cities in India
Hi Carlos, after spending 15 years in India, I still get annoyed sometimes when the locals talk to me in . The elderly gentleman man on the bus was not rude, but it was his way of telling you to get off the bus, thinking that you had got into the wrong bus. Besides, when he realised that you are a foreigner, tried to make conversation with you by enquiring about your origin. I believe that it was a case of misunderstanding and the situation and circumstances didn’t help. I don’t believe that there was any ill will on his part but a genuine and spontaneous response to help. I wish you a safe and happy stay in India.🙏❤️

Hey man... I'm really sorry for that stupid old man.... Yeah some very few people like less than one percent is like this one... Just ignore them... But I'll tell you what I think might've triggered that behaviour in that conversation: He asked you: Where do you wanna go You replied: I don't know (This might've sounded lil bit rude to that person) I would strongly suggest you to stop hopping in a random bus and going to a random place like this... Instead you have google maps that has every nook and corner of the country in it.. So just do a bit of research, find a good place to visit and get a good transport to that place.... Again bus is THE cheapest means of transportation in India. So it is mostly used by low quality people(mostly if not always) with low standards of living, with no proper behaviour and so on.... So this kind of behaviour is expected.... Again I'm really sorry for this behaviour of that person..
Thanks for your feedback! I usually don't mind those people, cause I know that I can avoid them quickly, so they don't ruin my good mood. But you're right, that might have been a trigger for him. Maybe he thought that I knew where to go, but I just did not wanna tell him. I love to randomly hop inside buses, so next time I will just tell the ticket man to drive me to the final bus stop and charging me the highest price for that ticket...
If you're a foreigner it doesn't mean you need to be specially treated. We treat everyone equally it can be an Indian or a Foreigner. If you like visit India or else better stay away from our country. No loss to us!

@@WildCARLOSappeared Your 'don't know' does not mean 'I have no idea where I plan to visit because I'm not familiar with this region' but rather like a rude waiter's response to a customer's asking, "What is nice on the menu?" .
The Old man was not rude I think.Normally no one gets into a bus without knowing where to go,and if people get in a wrong bus, they just are allowed to get out without buying a ticket. Also if you are exploring randomly, get a ticket for the last stop.
Anyway, we have to treat friendly to our forginors whatever it may be. The old man is rude from my point of view. He is exploring, and randomly, he will get down at any bus stop station. On behalf of him. I feel sorry that you have gone through the bad and rude situation.
Asking someone to get down from the bus impolitely is considered "rude".
dont justify it he was rude indians would fore go it cuz ihe was aged
but it wasnt normal he very well knew he was being rude.
Nah he was rude as hell
Instead of guiding the guy old man told him to get down from the bus, isn't that rude? Proper education, hospitality and politeness are required.
Yes. As an Indian from NW India, I concur.
As an Indian from the north side in India northeast India and South Indian are very friendly most of them are really good in terms of behaviour with tourists.

He doesn't know how to eat South Indian food and also no one is there to help him. 😢very sad
Sry for inconvenience, here in chennai or any place in tamilnadu, generally in bus they ask where u r want to go , he give the ticket for that place. So while asking the ticket if your answer is i don't know where to go means, then this is the reaction from ticket provider. Thats why one of the passenger over react. 😅

1. Pickles (most commonly made out of lemons and mangoes - sour tasting) are served with rice meals and is supposed to be taken little, preferably licked while you have yogurt rice. I saw you gulping the whole piece and it must have been way too sour and salty.
2. They serve chapati (flat bread) along with rice and it is supposed to be eaten with a creamy veggie (1 out of those 7)
3. Rest all were different curries to be mixed with rice and are not supposed to be mixed together. You can still do so if you like the taste (only at home)
4. Papad (the crispy cracker) is just to give the crisp while eating rice and payasam(porridge)
5. After finishing a heavy rice meal, usually they serve sweet paan (you said it right. It is betel leaf) with sweet rose petals and no they don't add betel nut in it and you can chew and swallow the whole thing. It aids in digestion
6. Chai/chaya is the hindi/malayalam equivalent for TEA
Thanks for your comment! I guess wildcarlos can do with some education. To me he behaves like a bull in a china shop sometimes 😅

Found this channel by accident, but that won't happen again, I promise. Your videos have everything. Everything I dislike that is.

Most Indians and Tamils I met in my life have been wonderful people
Well said 🫶 For every 1 rude or weird person I meet around 999 kind persons 🙏🏼
well even as a native, so far I've observed almost everyone seems to lack basic human grace and humility, whenever I try to be nice and greet someone they barely reciprocate the gesture, ungrateful when being helped and so full of conceit to be kind.

It's not that he burgled or scammed you, just suggested, if you don't know your destination It's better to get off and take the right bus, (instead of getting lost) 😊

Hi Carlos, after spending 15 years in India, I still get annoyed sometimes when the locals talk to me in . The elderly gentleman man on the bus was not rude, but it was his way of telling you to get off the bus, thinking that you had got into the wrong bus. Hey man... I'm really sorry for that stupid old man.... Yeah some very few people like less than one percent is like this one... Just ignore them...
But I'll tell you what I think might've triggered that behaviour in that conversation:
He asked you: Where do you wanna go
You replied: I don't know
(This might've sounded lil bit rude to that person)
I would strongly suggest you to stop hopping in a random bus and going to a random place like this...
