I’m from Dausa district in Rajasthan, and I had to go from Jaipur Airport to the bus stand. I booked an Uber. When I saw the car, the driver wasn’t there. The security guards were looking for him, and after a few minutes, he showed up. He took about 5 minutes, which is the time before parking charges kick in. The driver hadn’t taken a parking ticket after entering the parking area. When we reached the exit at Jaipur Airport, we were stopped for the parking ticket. The Uber driver said he was on "Army duty." When the security guard asked for proof, the driver showed some documents, but they looked fake to me. The guard asked why he had come there, and the driver said he was supposed to pick up an officer. When the security guard asked me, I denied any connection with the army and clarified that I had booked the car as an Uber. So, the driver had to pay the parking fee. After that, as we were leaving the airport, the driver asked me to cancel the Uber ride, saying he would drop me off for the same price if I paid him directly. I refused to cancel the ride. There seems to be an Uber scam like this in Jaipur, so be careful. A similar incident happened to a friend of mine who was picked up from the airport early in the morning. The driver tried to overcharge him, and he barely managed to get away safely.
Its because of greedy Adani. For like 10 years before Adani took the contract, you could use ola or Uber and drivers would just come from outside the airport and if they take you within the 5-6 minutes time they pay no parking. It doesn't happen anymore. Now these apps force you to go to the stand and pay more than double to the taxis standing there. F U Adani

I think I was in Jaipur the same time as you and feel lucky I managed to get an Uber everywhere I went. They really need to expand that metro. Fast, cheap and won't get scammed.
Yes Jaipur is like Agra for tourists, scam after scam, quality is poor in these cities too, in Jaipur the forts are great, in Agra the Taj and the fort are great too, in fact the Taj is in my opinion the most beautiful building in the world, but I’d suggest visit them and get out. Delhi and Mumbai are so much bigger, yet you won’t get hassle like you do in Jaipur and Agra…. I think most tourists will agree with what I’m saying.
Sorry, for not having a very pleasant experience in my home town. I would suggest you and anyone who is visiting to ask any local person there for help. They will definitely love to help. And lastly talking about autowalas and cab drivers they are not different to the locals. Hope you visit again and have a better experience next time. May god bless you
It just costs me at most 1 dollar to travel anywhere in any big cities in China. In India I'd rather walking, the tuktuk and taxi drivers are so annoying when I was there, they constantly follow and ask you to ride, you should learn say no in India.
After completing my engineering. If I get a chance to travel any country with you and max because you two are really friendly and really good at this!!
It's ironic and tragic that if these guys behaved honestly and gracefully with foreign tourists they'd end up with more business. Because of short sighted greed they're making sure any tourist who visits once won't come back either. India will never be tourist friendly as long as people keep getting hounded for every last dollar, and it only hurts those same people doing it. Isn't that hilariously sad lmao
seen this shit happen to IRL streamers on Twitch too. not just india, even nepal. simple little frauds like saying "ill take xyz amount to go here" and then asking for more money. like why. corruption is too mundane in our part of the world.
Cannot but help notice in this video narrative as well as during my personal journeys the stark difference in the nature , behaviour and the basic reliability of the common, ordinary folk - between the South and North of India.
Seems almost as bad as Agra. I hope that sugarcane wallah didnt get hassled for rupees by the auto driver. I guess maybe it’d be safer to not allow others to see how much you tip moving forward.
Instead of Booking and cancelling in Uber, you should just check the price in app and bargain with offline Drivers. Uber Drivers are getting troubled when you book and cancel. It's not ethical.
I went to Jaipur for a marriage proposal to have a look on the girl. Apparently, it didn't go ahead. That was my first time in Jaipur. One hell of a trip. Hotels and local trips scammed me.
Wow, surviving the touts of Jore sounds like quite the adventure! Your bargaining skills are impressive. Have you ever managed to get an Uber for a fair price there?
When I'm in a country where people are obviously poor and struggling to make ends meet, I don't haggle too much as long as I can afford the prices they're asking for. I mean, paying a few extra dollars for a ride is not exactly going to break the bank for the average western tourist. Yes, this is technically scamming, but I look at it as charity.

Out of all the countries in the world India is the number one place I will never visit don’t get me wrong Indian people are lovely.
Chris you a very gentle e beautiful person....bye bye from Italy 🇮🇹👋
Its like Egypt. You go there make picture of pyramids and hide in protected hotel because people will harass you all the time to buy something
You should definitely complain to police chris
After watching your video I feel Jaipur is the worst city for the tourism
Wow thanks for this video Chris my husband and I will be visiting soon you have opened our eyes in terms of these drivers pretty scary
Old Uber scam are common in Jaipur, they accept ride and then cancel it to get overpriced fare to customers.
I don't understand...
What is wrong with jaipur people
I never experienced such a fraud from them
Really disappointing 😕
Jaipur and Agra vendors, drivers are too much pushy, but I won't say they are scammers... Same thing here in Delhi
new subscriber.. love your videos.. from Assam northeast India
I survived in jaipur in only one room since i start prepare comptative exams😂😂😂😂
Mera bhi same bhai in Allen kota😂
Cannot but help notice in this video narrative as well as during my personal journeys the stark difference in the nature , behaviour and the basic reliability of the common, ordinary folk - between the South and North of India.
Seems almost as bad as Agra. I hope that sugarcane wallah didnt get hassled for rupees by the auto driver. I guess maybe it’d be safer to not allow others to see how much you tip moving forward.
Broh you should definitely visit udaipur near Jaipur you will definitely love the sceneries and luxurious hotels are amazing 😍
that hotel was beautiful. makes me forget all the scammers 😂
Disrespectful people are everywhere in India 😮
Cris bro your voice is clear r u using extra mic or is it gopro mic please tel me. And please tel me which model gopro u r using
Wow, surviving the touts of Jore sounds like quite the adventure! Your bargaining skills are impressive. Have you ever managed to get an Uber for a fair price there?
Chris Lewis ❌ Christmas ✅
Ain’t no way that man is from Germany
It's a modern camera inside lol
It is expensive because they have to rent as it may be on lease and for maintaining
great video chris :)
Don't go with auto drivers taxi drivers and strangers for shoping. Shopers over charge and and later give percentage to those who took you to shop
Chris Lewis is tackling the new situation well. He is bargaining with Auto drivers well. But in Chennai auto drivers tender exact fare mostly from him
400 bucks and still have to worry about mosquitoes and malaria. Heck no.
Never ever 400 bucks in India. NEVER.
It's like camping in middle of desert with a tent cost 400$ and then complaining about sand entering the tent because of small openings 🤯.
Audio is jacked
Hi Chris, are you coming to Bangalore anytime soon?
I think chris more time to expand in India and fully enjoyed and experienced lower to higher level area...
When you gonna visit Statue of Unity? 😊. Eagerly waiting for the video.
Hi ask the hotel to provide you with plug in mosquito repellent and blug it in near your bedside .I hope it helps
That rickshaw uncle was overfriendly when he saw you pay the sugarcsne guy 1000
