- Welcome back to part two of our Atlanta Georgia trip! Katie an I checked into our hotel and then had an amazing dinner high up in downtown Atlanta, after that we headed to a little concert and then came back to the car for a not-so-fun surprise.

I absolutely love you two together. Katie is the forever educator and teacher while Jeffrey gives us comedic relief. I know Jeffrey also teaches but these two fit together like pb&j, white on rice, brooches on a lapel. I so enjoy watching as I forget about my troubles and just join in on the experience. Thank you two and keep it up!
Jeffrey, you are so fortunate to have a friend like Katie that knows so much about traveling to the cool and great spots! She always has so much interesting information to share! Nice to have a great travel partner like that!!

We have a rotating restaurant at top of a hotel in Duluth. It’s particularly beautiful on a winter’s night during holiday season when it’s snowing. It overlooks Lake Superior, the downtown and hillside. All views are beautiful. Yes, it rotates. Sadly it’s changed ownership several times and I try it every time and I have to say, the food was lousy every time. I haven’t been for years because it’s expensive. I’ve never paid for a meal there but that’s beside the point.
Enjoy you and Katie living it up in Atlanta, Ga. Getting the boot on the car - sucks, especially when you did your due diligence 😡

Yay! I am glad you went. The crab cake was probably one of the best I have ever had.
I got drinks at the Westin once too! I got to live in Atlanta for a year. I LOVED it. If you ever want a fun neighborhood to explore, I lived in Virginia Highlands and it was a great pretty safe place, about a mile from Piedmont Park. My favorite restaurant was Highland Tap. They are known for their martinis. There are also some fantastic thrift stores in midtown Atl, not to tempt you!
The Reunion Tower in Dallas has a rotating restaurant on top!!! Great view...especially at sunset to dark!!!❤❤❤
What a crazy story, glad the concert was good . Im from NYC, so homless folks are just part of it, so it doesnt phase me but you still have to be careful at night. It was smart to take a Lyft. Enjoy the rest of your stay.😊

The Space Needle in Seattle, from the 1962 World's Fair, has a rotating fancy restaurant up high! Homeless human beings are just that, human beings who are unhoused. None of us should be so smug to believe it could never happen to us Homeless people are not the criminals. I live in the middle of the city, Seattle; there are homeless human beings. I walk around at night without fear, nothing has ever happened. The Proud Boys, and Oathkeepers are also walking around the neighborhood; I am afraid of them. Kindness, and love. I am so happy you and Katie are friends; you have so much fun on your travels together!

Several years ago the Sundial used to turn. A child got caught in the turning part while at dinner and got strangled by their clothes. They stopped turning it after that
I have to tell you all those quick camera shots over the railings, out the window and looking out from the external elevator no no. I'm afraid of heights and I couldn't look. Scary

They run the hot water tap. Turn it off and use hot faucet to seal it. Basic hotel room. I stayed at the contemporary hotel at Disney in the 80’s with my best friend and her Grandmother. Years later 90’s my late mom really wanted to stay there, I had told her it was just a basic room. She didn’t believe me. So during Florida residents days I booked 2 nights there and took her to her dream hotel. She was SO EXCITED until we entered the room. It’s just like any regular room! I was like, I tried to tell you!! 🤷🏻♀️She enjoyed it tho. Not having to drive over to Disney. Just jump on the Monorail.
I have bought pillows because the ones in my hotel were so nice. I looked at the tag like you did and got similar one to the ones they had. I still use that same pillow😂😂
Katie looks beautiful in the sunshine but I don’t blame her for switching seats… that food looked amazing!!! So glad y’all are having a great time!!!

26th floor . Aww no. I never stay above 5. I was an insurance clms adjuster for too many years. Most fire depts could reach 3 floors and I figure I can walk down 2 safely to get to 3rd floor. Yep, I know weird phobia .

You’ll always have the boot story to tell. They used to do that way back when I was in college.
I rode an outdoor elevator to a very high level and it was frightening.
I love Atlanta and use to go there several times a year for long weekends. One of my favorite hotels was the Westen Peachtree. Loved eating up in the Sun Dial Restaurants and enjoying cocktails and jazz in the lounge above the restaurant. I hate that it is no longer rotating. That was one of the neat things about the Sun Dial!! Atlanta is a great city for shopping and partying. Hate that about the booting incident. Unfortunately these cities try and get every penny they can. We even have that problem in Birmingham. Great video guys!!! Happy Halloween Hugs!!!
There was a restaurant in St. Louis called Top of the Towers that rotated. Went there for Junior prom all decked out in tuxedos and hoop skirt dresses like Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the wind! It wasn't a cheap place to eat. Just a really cool view.
Okay me being a science nerd am shocked that hotel staff take a used toilet paper roll and place it against the sink nozzle where clean water comes from. Toilet paper is known to contain germs from the toilet as toilets can and do spray a fine mist every time you flush it. Blech.... ps... I love when you Katie travel together. You just compliment each other so well.

I’m saying to myself… Jeffrey move back away from that railing 🫣. Even watching this I could feel a panic attack waiting to happen. I have the worst phobia of heights. No way could I have taken that elevator on the outside.. Nope.. or been on the 72nd floor… Nope 🫣. But I appreciate this so much.. otherwise I would of never seen the view. I love love the Mountains.. we go every fall. But I do miss a lot of the scenery when traveling as my face is buried in my pillow. 🤦♀️🫣. I like looking up not down 😂.

I enjoyed but them outside elevators ain’t no way or seating that close to the windows that high Views were spectacular though

I have a down comforter and pillows from Pacific Coast co. They were on QVC when I purchased them for my entire family!! Great product and company! But expensive!!

The "boot scam" is a thing here in New Orleans, too. NOPD has responded to so many visitors who have been scammed into paying up to $200 to have the boot removed. These criminals prey on your good nature and good conscience. I'm sorry y'all had this happen to you to ruin an otherwise wonderful trip.

my sister purchased a mattress after staying at a fancy hotel chain. i forget which one. maybe four seasons or ritz. it was a long time ago. she only stays at the best. she's really wealthy. she tries to stay at new hotels. she finds that if they are new they have less mold.

Katy is a Gem! I'm enjoying all your adventures. Curious how much your lobster dinner cost Jeffrey. You mentioned the top of the building....The Ghostbusters 'temple' was filmed in downtown St . Louis. Nearby we had a hotel top revolving restaurant for years. One time we were revolving when we ate breakfast while nursing an hangover after a nite of celebrating my b'day. Rough. What a year you are having travelling! ❤

Well, a fine mess you two got into this time…boot on your car. So you were hoping for one bed ..no giddy for you.😅. I spent eight weeks in Atlanta for job training and had my fancy wheels stolen off my car. They do have great food in Atlanta and a lot of nice clubs.
I also like katie, somehow i missed hiw/where you all met???
