Very cool! The trouble I've found with that suction cup and the triple mounts is it tends to sway under harder driving. My latest video shows a much safer suction mount rig. Hope that helps.
Nice. I'm about to do a long road trip in my WRX STI and I'm thinking of getting an action cam to record some of it. I was looking at the DJI Action 4 but I've always thought the Insta360 looked neat. I'll probably be looking to do a front bumper tow hook mount but idk if that'd work well with the Insta. Anyone have any thoughts? I would also like this camera to be able to capture bitchin videos on my future Japan trip maybe with a backpack strap mount?
Did you reach out to them for them to send it to you? I would like to review one myself on my car. I’m looking at the insta 360 go 2 but I’ve always been a go pro user so this would be the first camera
I would recommend the triple suction cup and as long as you take good care of the suction cup parts between filming (I put in a zip lock bag to prevent dust or debris attaching to the cup portion) then you can re-use multiple times!
Yes! The Insta360 X2 was used in this video, but they have since released an upgraded version called the X3 which I'd recommend! Here is a link to that camera if you want to take a look. - www.insta360.com/sal/x3?insrc=INR92DX
The one I used in the video was this one - store.insta360.com/product/suction_cup_car_mount?c=1134&from=nav But I would recommend using this one if you plan to re-create this shot! It's much more sturdy - amzn.to/3wVVzfx
I used the (120cm Invisible Selfie Stick) which you can find through this link here, as well as all of the other accessories they offer for the camera. Hope this helps!🤘 store.insta360.com/accessory?insrc=INR92DX
That sucking cup didn’t worked for me, I had to return it but the camera is great. First of all one side of the plastic broke. The second one is that if I drive fast the stick will start to shift down from the original position and the last one is that when I hit a pothole the stick swings up and down waaaaay to much
I'd definitely recommend a triple suction cup mount rather than the singular. It's much better quality and you don't have to have the worry of the camera falling off. I have a link in my video description if you want to check out the one I'd recommend. As far as the swaying, unfortunately the design could be a bit better for that aspect. An option would be to get an additional suction cup and mount a bit further down then tie to the stick to help limit the swaying. Hope that helps!
If you were to use the triple suction cup I believe you could you use this off road! As long as the road isn’t too bumpy and you’re going a moderate speed it should work just fine.👍🏽
Sponsored is when they pay for the video to be made as well as have a few points they want you to talk about. In this video they only sent me the product to test with no requirements to say anything positive about the product. Everything I said was 100% what I thought about it 🤘🏼
So it’s a 360 degree view which you then add what is called “key frames” to adjust your view however you’d like. You can do this in the app or on your computer. So in other words, yes you can see behind, in front, or to either side. Hope that helps!
For everyone wondering why the xar lloks weird, next time move the camera so the stitching part of the video is not on your car, makes it look a bit weird. 👊
Hard to say exactly as it various on conditions (how bumpy the road is, how much wind is hitting it, etc) in the video we did around 50mph and it held great but was also on a very smooth road and a short run. If I was to do it again I would use a triple suction cup for the peace of mind. I have one linked in my description if you want to take a look at that🤙🏽
Guys i tried this and fortunetly my Camera fell i reccomend getting some other support. I didnt know if Any of you know Any other suppliers for The Camera to hold better let me know pls
If you go on Instagram and find someone with a cool car local to you and show them this shot, I’m sure they’d be down to let you use it on their car!🤙🏽
Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do to separate the wind. These cameras do feature pretty good noise reduction you can enable which helps remove the wind noise quite a bit. Something else to keep in mind is how/where you mount it and how much wind is going directly into the mics. Hope that helps!
just bought my X2 and will be following your tips. thanks again for sharing this video!!!

what would you recommend for driving around 270km/h or 169 mp/h ?
or would you recommend to keep the camera in the car with those speeds
wow looking forward to getting mine this christmas
Thanks for the triple suction cup mount tip. Just ordered one now. !
Cheers
Remember the days when we had this exact same view in racing games, and now it’s a reality!
So sick! I’m impressed the mount did so well. Solid video🔥
Thanks dude! Same here, we were rippin and it held on no problem!
@@LoganGoodfellow I don't have it 😭
yup, triple cup does sound like a better idea :D
1:25 уоu can attach it to the car paint but use 2 suction cups, one for the angle and one for support.

Which stick are you using? The one I got from Insta360 has a tripod on the bottom with no way to screw it in ta the base of the suction cup piece.
If I remember right, this is the exact one I used -

Bro how the guy off screen is throwing him accessories is comical yet smooth 😂
Such a cool shot!
looking to buy soon! thanks for the vid!
WoW !!! Seems like playing Forza Horizon 5 😍....... Now new to the market is Insta 360 One RS twin
Definitely an unreal view! And yes, new camera review coming soon🙌🏽
1:35 o this is fxxx for miata cars!
I use a Fat Gecko mount which works great on the car body. Gives me way more angles to shoot from.
This is so cool! Thanks!
how does the car audio sound so good? .when i mount mine i just get wind noise .
nice video Logan! simple and to the point.
which triple mount suction cup would you recommend?
Thank you! I would recommend one of the delkin triple mount suction cups. This one specifically is what I would look at - amzn.to/34ad29m

Do they still sell the car bundle kit? I couldn’t find it
How do you get rid of the wind noise on yours?? I’m having trouble with mine and come and go wind noise
why did you mount the camera so the stitch line was right on the car?
How much did you use this suction cup? Is just one ok for car pov?
I would recommend the triple suction cup and as long as you take good care of the suction cup parts between filming (I put in a zip lock bag to prevent dust or debris attaching to the cup portion) then you can re-use multiple times!
Hi, might wanna look into how to do audio normalization, the shift in volume at 2:45 is highly irritating.

Yes it was!
Awesome 👍🏻

Thank you!🤙
What mic do you use for wind reduction?
Fr I’m trying to find out too
How does the suction take on harsh turns
What is the selfie stick part you use? Is that in the description too?

How do you stabilize the invisible stick when it's extended? I got a insta360 1inch.
He should add an extra mount to avoid shakes or camera fall

What if it’s a drop top?
my gecko triple suction mount sways under load, any tips
You could try tying a rope from the selfie stick to opposite sides of the suction cup. May help sturdy it up. Wish I had a better answer for you!

For everyone wondering why the xar lloks weird, next time move the camera so the stitching part of the video is not on your car, makes it look a bit weird. 👊
how do you get rid of all the wind noise and keep the exhaust noise?
You are best doing a post shoot edit of the audio track with a sound editor.

How you reduced the wind ?

Triple suction cup mount ftw. Ditch the insta 360 v2 invis stick, their new design is too thin and flimsy.
I was actually impressed with how well it held up but I agree, the triple suction cup is definitely the way to go!🤘🏼
