- Now that the incredible XXX tour is done, it's time to get back to celebrating Deliverance's 20th anniversary.
Our next #deliverance20 chapter is a live performance of Master's Apprentices, taken from Opeth's show in Philadelphia on February 26th, 2004. (In case you can't tell, I love this show). Now remastered, this unreleased video shows the mid-era lineup at their peak. Enjoy.
Mikael Åkerfeldt - vocals and guitar
Peter Lindgren - guitar
Martin Mendez - bass
Martin Lopez - drums
Per Wiberg - keys and vocals
WAAAAAAAAAH. Awesome. I saw them in Utrecht (The Netherlands) three weeks ago. His growls aren't anymore what they were back than, but still brutal AF. It was a phenomenal gig. I'm so lucky I discovered these masters of metal
Voz completamente insana de Mikael nessa época, o auge de Opeth com certeza.
God I wish I would have discovered Opeth back then... what an era to witness!!
Thanks for another awesome vid👏
2004 is when I discovered Opeth! This just happened to be the first song I ever heard by them. I was 12 years old and I was blown away. Even though I absolutely love every Opeth album! Deliverance (2002) holds a special place in me.
I think this is becoming one of my favorite Opeth concerts.
damn they sounded MASSIVE
I am loving this song much more these days
My god his growls! They were a...bloodbath. I couldn't hear Per's back vocals unfortunately :( Thanks for the upload! In the XXX tour they had two shows in my city and I'm an idiot for going to only one of them.
I'm so lucky.
it s kind a speedy ^^ hard to headbang haha
Lopez drumming is so tasty
Do you happen to have any clips from the NYC show from this tour? I was at that show
I have a recording of that whole show, but I'm afraid it's audio only!
@@The_Karst ah all good! Amazing you even have audio! Really appreciate all of these archival recordings you have!
