Would a fuel filter be the cause of engine sputtering? I put new spark plugs in, changed the oil and oil filter, replaced the air filter and still sputtering and lose of acceleration

I guess it potentially could be. There must be a way to bleed the air out of everything.

I think that is not the right filter. The old filter has three connections. Two with the hose and the other one in the filter with the tube part, connector and rubber seals. In my skoda fabia 1.4 the new filter you put in is for certain VIN numbers and the old for another VIN numbers on the same model. I think it has something to do with having or not pressure regulator. The old one is cheaper than the new you put in. But I am not an expert and not know more than this. But if you know more please inform because I would like to know if the filters are compatible. Thank you.

What would happen if I don’t take the fuse out? Thanks in advance

Can't remember for sure but I think the fuse has something to do with the electronic pumping of fuel. If you don't take it out fuel will pump continuously. Don't quote me on that though lol

It cuts the power to the fuel pump, that way when you start the car afterward for a few seconds it sucks some of the fuel out of the lines, that way you dont lose as much fuel when you take the fuel lines off the filter.
