    Think the RUclips algorithm gods. I’ve literally been looking this up as I just got into the game about a week ago and you post this today. Thank you so much! Keep it up.

    I used to play till RAIDS where released.
    Now I started playing again, I was watching this to check what end content I can play, but it seems that still fractals lolz.
    Anyway they are really fun.
    You can make a lot of gold there, I made like 12 gold today just in fractals.

      Strike CMs are pretty fun tbh EOD and SOTO are more challenging than just the IBS ones. Try those ones out when you're tired of fractals!

    I started about 4 days ago
    I wanted to find out if its worth buying any expnansions yet.
    I can only afford to get hearth of thorns and path of fire.
    Is it worth buying if thats the only 2 i can afford until the end of january.
    And if i do get those 2, does i unlock the features from f2p or do i have to buy all expansions to unlock features such as exchanging gold to gems and chat restrictions etc.
    And lastly if i only buy those 2 expansions will i be able to get end game gear (top level gear/best gear)
    Or is it literally impossible without all the expansions?
    Thanks in advance

      Is it worth buying if thats the only 2 i can afford until the end of january.
      --- Yes if you enjoy the game then it is definitely worth it, you can pick up the other ones later on. HOT and POF are great and unlock a lot of good specializations
      And if i do get those 2, does i unlock the features from f2p or do i have to buy all expansions to unlock features such as exchanging gold to gems and chat restrictions etc.
      --- It will unlock everything from F2P + the HOT and POF Content
      And lastly if i only buy those 2 expansions will i be able to get end game gear (top level gear/best gear)
      --- POF and HOT give you access to full legendary everything (Armor through Raids, Trinkets/Backpack through Core/PVP/WVW content, and the last ring is from POF Raids)
      Or is it literally impossible without all the expansions?
      --- it isnt, the living world adds some nice quality of life daily farms like strikes and volatile magic, but beyond that it is just story. SOTO and EOD add some quality of life but you can get the expacs as you can and still get to endgame with the best gear.

    Once you're done with the legendary starter kits, do you prefer selling gen 1 or 3 legendary weapons? I feel like it's faster to get the necessary imperial favor and cantha map completion than doing the central tyria map completion and 500 dungeon tokens, so that's what I've done so far.
    Do you have any recommendations for farming spirit shards? I guess they just gradually accumulate as you play the game.

    • @SilhouetteGaming1
      @SilhouetteGaming1  8 месяцев назад

      Personally having max masteries and a lot of instanced content i tend to have a ton of spirit shards, i am sitting at like 4k right now. i think the best method is to maximize boosters and do a rift farm train if you have SOTO. I think Core-Tyria is pretty quick, but Gen 3's are significantly faster on the account bound minimum items- half the clovers and so on. the main hurdle is ASS and Jade Runestones which can be pricey if you intend on buying them.

    I think the most efficient path is lvl80 boost actually, it includes celestial gear that is more than ok.

    • @SilhouetteGaming1
      @SilhouetteGaming1  9 месяцев назад +3

      No gold non optimized build no AR no ascended gear or crafting. Respectfully disagree. Also no idea how to play. You're saying a day one player with a level 80 boost is ready for raids/fractal CMs

    • @vaddick

      I boosted a few characters and in the end i had to go back and recreate them. The leveling process in gw2 isn't just " something to get past." It teaches you how the profession moves. it forces you to learn the " Oh chit" skills and how to get out of difficult situations. It is designed to show you how your build matters much more than just your equipment. How your build impacts your profession. What situations are best for power builds and what situations are better for conditions. What utility skills will see you through the fight or puzzle. I run a Necro that flips between scourge and reaper. Knowing what my elite specs are best at is a huge boon that a guide on youtube cant give you. Learning muscle memory of your weapons and utils are again something a video can tell you, though at that point its just information. To become just possibly decent at your profession requires investments. You need wisdom. Snow crows can tell you the build but it cant make that rotation fall into place. Thats going to be hours hitting a golem.

    • @AntonMochalin
      @AntonMochalin 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@vaddick so you mean you can't learn all these in say Silverwastes where you end up after applying the boost? Also, I love 1-80 leveling in GW2 and did it on all my characters for the fun of it but but "what situations are best for power builds and what for conditions" - really? While leveling 1-80? Most of that leveling is roflstomping everything in your way and getting level 80 long before reaching level 80 maps/story. And we're speaking about efficiency here meaning you optimize for time and everyone learns at their own pace so we need to bracket out getting skill. And outside getting skill the fastest way is lvl80 boost.

    • @vaddick
      @vaddick 9 месяцев назад

      @@AntonMochalin nah, you get 16 utility skills tossed at you, hosts of other skills with different weapon sets, if eng all the weapon kits with all their skills. So what ends up happening is people go to a build site to run something optimized that doesn't explain the rotation for damage and defense well. Then people get flattened over and over and over. rinse and repeat across a couple of other builds and they quit. the " try different things till you make it" mentality just isn't there. Some of the largest memes out there are the 2 week 80 try hard with downstate in their rotation. Trying to raid or fractal and still button clicking thinking that they are contributing something other than levels of difficulty to their support.

    • @AntonMochalin
      @AntonMochalin 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@vaddick Why do you think people who went through 1-80 leveling would be any different? When I leveled my characters I mostly kept the "build" that built itself by me equipping new loot if it looked like having better stats or better color. So I always came to level 80 with 6 different runes (because why would I even need a proper set of runes before level 80?) and some very dim knowledge of what my weapon skills do outside of what I could see on screen when using them and they were the skills of weapons that just happened to be looted with stats greater than what I had had by that moment. Do you think someone noticing that bog skales die in 0.5 seconds when using 6 runes with the same name instead of 1.5 seconds would make them a better instanced PvE player?

    Is it possible to level all masteries while doing open world events and map completion? So far I enjoy running around open world and leveling up masteries the most while doing the story in order and don't feel confident enough getting into instanced content with other experienced players. I apologize if my English is hard to read, because it's not my main language.

    • @SilhouetteGaming1
      @SilhouetteGaming1  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, for this method you don't really need to do a whole lot of mastery grind but I'm actively doing it currently on zero to hero.

    What the video skims over is that this can take you months to complete. Many of the materials are time gated, if its not then its extremely grindy. Also before you dive off into map completion, get path of fire done and associated masteries, then flip to SOTO and run through it to get the sky scale mount. Your first 60 bucks spent in the gemstore will be bag slots, copperfed recycler, and runic recycler. Get one outfit you think is cool, cause leveling gear looks horrible. I know i know sounds dumb but you'll thank me later. Pick up a couple of Armor templates, it keeps you from selling gear you use by accident. After that, have fun enjoy the journey, don't rush or you just end up at level 80 not knowing chit about your character and vets asking you " did you boost brah?" Then support twitching each time you go into their group.

      So map comp can be done casually in like three weeks. Ascended armor crafting time gates are bypassed by gold from legendary. 77 Mystic Clovers can be achieved in less than 7 weeks total from currency exchange vendors. The fast path on a fresh account is to finance your way to 150AR and proper gear for instanced content which was the point of this video, running around doing mastery points is not the endgame content people have trouble with. It's typically "how do I get into fractals" or "how do I get into raids?" Which this video tells you how to do, in less than 2 months of play if you are sweaty enough or less than 6 months if you are casual. In all reality this will give someone a fully geared optimized char to farm gear from strikes fractals and raids, plus ~700g remaining for skins or alts. Even without mounts core map comp takes like 30 hours going easy. GOB takes like 8? 6? As someone with full legendary working on duplicates and 11k hours I respectfully disagree with your timeline assessment. The other advice is valid

    • @vaddick
      @vaddick 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@SilhouetteGaming1 Oh i didnt mean to imply that you are dishonest in anything that you stated. 90% of players are casual thus the " this can take months to complete" and 3 weeks of this and 7 weeks of that, again borderlining 3 months perhaps 4. Mounts make map completion take much less time. For a few days sacrificed. Just opened my 11th birthday gift and around 8k hrs in the game. I don't have full legendary or even close to it. cause the grind and extremely expensive mats with minimal gold per hr rates time gates as well. It can be done as you say, there was no dispute with that. I just don't want someone thinking they are going to do this all in a weekend setting them up for failure. Folks like you are very good at the game and knowing the convoluted system of economy comes second nature after a time. That you explained 1 of the farms in its entirety is a huge point to your favor. most just state " convert currency to other currency and buy things."

      Thanks for your followup. I think one of the most confusing aspects for new players is the information overload, saying "grind this, unlock that, go over here and do this" they just end up going meh and quitting. I've seen it personally happen. You should get full legendary! It's awesome when gearing alts or trying new builds
