Wow! what a great video! thankyou so much for making this, this one is way better than the one I did, which got lost. I always enjoy the way you explain things. I learn from your videos even when I invent the part!
@@EastTacticsI have a bash bar on my 6s kraton exb. It’s 4mm thick. I put the rear D block that can use the Mojave rear bumper. I haven’t ordered the bumper yet but I feel like it won’t fit with the bash bar on it(oktays bash bar). Have you ever tried it with a chasis brace/bash bar? Not sure if this will fit now.
Awesome! I am using something like that with the rpm skid plate and support arm with the 3D RC wing mount. Great stuff! Thanks for everything you bring to the rc community.
That looks bad ass Randy, I had the same bumper as u on my rear the rpm front bumper but I ripped mine off 2 weeks ago lol, the way M2C keep coming out with new ideas and new was to make our rigs stronger is mind blowing lol massive props to Mitch and Avery looper 💪💪💪💯💯💯
Great idea👍. I've been looking for something for the rear as I'm retiring the old T-bone racing wheelie bar/skid. M2C and 3DRC make some awesome parts.
This is my comment. I love M2C parts. Faithful buyers. I would love to have a set of hinged pin kit on either my Outcast or Kraton. Did I tell you I love you too. Well not that way. Will leave that to the wife. But love your channel. Lol. Anything I need to add to get the hinges pin kit. LMAO. Thanks for the innovation you do on your channel. Have fun Bryan
Man that set of m2c hinge pin retainers would be so awesome . it's one of the few things left that I've really been wanting to switch to silver m2c goodness. Othe than the chassis lol
Nice mod. Just out the rpm hd mount on yesterday. Not sure I like how stiff it is. May have to get another 3Drc mount. Busted the screw hole on my other one.
Try out a tpu spring for the front of that bumper. I designed a beefed up version for my 8s but haven't had a chance to do the 6s yet since I use the rpm bumper and it just won't die after a year for me to try the exb bumper lol
Awesome brother I love that m2c actually made that rear A block for that Mojave bumper. That's a amzming set up and a true game changer. I don't have anything in the back or my Rig. THE Force is always with me so I never land on the rear.😂 but if I do my vivvtion rear bulk is holding her together pretty good.
Damn, I made this mod last year. I hadn't seen or heard of it yet so I posted about it but nobody seemed to notice or care. There are a few variations, one has a zip tie mod that ties the wing to the bumper. Would have been nice to get a shout out or some recognition you are only the second person I've seen do it, BTW you don't need M2C parts you can do this all out of EXB parts.
Brilliant explanation video again Randy. That setup will now be incredibly tough especially with the M2C hinge support. The video I made about 2 yrs ago on my modified EXB to M2C hinge support is still holding strong on my K6 V4. I do run the RPM rear bumper still and it’s not broken once but I am loving this new mod and will do it as soon as mine breaks eventually. Love what Avery and Mitch at M2C does for our community. I also use those Tinnerman washers ever since I saw you use them in a video about 2yrs ago. Excellent work brother. 😎👍🏼💪🏼👊🏼
Great info, I just got back into the hobby and I have the kraton exb and I have been looking for a rear bumper setup. That looks to be the best that I have seen so thank you again.
I’m sure you can make it work, worst-case scenario you may have to drill the two holes in the shock tower at the proper place. But the effort is totally worth it. I do know that the Talian uses a different wing mount that sits lower. So that might be an issue. So I guess what I’m saying is I don’t know. But even if the wing mount sits lower, you might be able to cut out one of the support beams from the bumper piece, and still get a fit to happen… Hard to say
Great video. Have a question. I have the fireteam and was wondering if the D-block system would work on the fire team. I know that I would havve to remove the rear brake system. Again great video. Thumbs up.👍
I know M2C mentions in their listing that it is not compatible with the fire team due to the brake system. However, if you are OK with removing that, pretty sure you can make it work. I’m not sure though, because honestly I know nothing about that big system. I need to look that up just to see what it even looks like how it works.
Pretty sure, yes, the two kits you pickup that are the rear and front bumper themselves. it comes with a plastic over sleeve that should fit over your stock d block. If it doesn’t fit directly, you could always modify the piece to fit I’m sure.
Aside from the chassis itself, these two kits are probably the most substantial upgrades you could put on your rig! Especially in the arena of sending a big!
Interesting vid. Forgive me for asking, but i think you said you were doing all this to protect you're wing, which costs less than ten bucks to replace. So i guess my question is, surely you want cheap, easily replaced parts - like wings, and wing mounts to break, rather than transferring all the energy into the bulkhead and shock tower? I'm a total rc noob, so go easy on me...😅
Great question and your logic is absolutely on point. We definitely want our wing to be a breakpoint to protect our more expensive components. This is why I would never go with an aluminum wing mount. But the only thing better than breakable is a wing mount that still retains such attributes, but simply doesn’t snap and require us to go through all the headaches of constant replacement. This is why I put so much time and effort into utilizing the flexible 3DRC bring out with modifications. Now, the rear bumper on the other hand is also a protector of your rig. And utilizing the one I recommend hear, your maximizing, keeping a flexible wing mount, set up and maximizing the protection of it. Having a rear bumper has proven to be a big win when it comes to these rigs , and with the way this one ties in to the shock tower, but still is a bendable/breakable component in itself, the value it provides while still keeping energy safely away from your bulkhead, etc. is worth it. Hope that answers your questions and thanks for watching my videos
@@EastTactics Thanks. I've been running with the RPM front bumper on both ends of the car - thanks to your earlier video - and this has done well. I broke the stock wingmount last time out and I'm looking at options. I'm on a very limited budget, so think I'm gonna get the RPM HD wing mount system you talked of. 🍻 and thank you, for all the great work.
As an addendum, I'm running a Radical RCUK bashbar under my chassis, the guys that make them and I don't think the RPM wingmount system will fit over the bashbar. So, I'll continue with the RPM front bumpers at both ends and just get the standard RPM wingmounts.
Have you seen my videos on the 3D RC wing mount combined with two separate videos regarding modifications to toughen it up. I would highly recommend that.
Why would you want the delrin in those things. The stock ones are just steel with a plastic cover. Seems many companies make solid aluminum pieces instead.
That’s a great question, and to be honest with you I am glad you asked. Because I have a great answer. And recently just reaped the benefits of having those Delrin inserts. You see without the inserts, you would have to cut the hole to be pretty close to the exact diameter of the pin. On hard impacts or bad landings. Overtime you would damage the integrity and warp the integrity of that hole, which would require you to replace the entire piece. Particularly on a bad landing that might actually snap the hinge pin itself on weaker hinge pins. However, on a strong one like. M2C it would just severely damage the hole. The beauty of the inserts is on a bad landing or a large amount of time of where. The Delran inserts take the brunt of the damage. And upon inspection, you can simply pop them out and replace them. Saving time and money from having to take everything apart and replace the entire piece. I recently had a really bad landing, sheared straight through a pin. The inserts took the damage and the holes on my hinge pins themselves remained completely unharmed. Popped a few inserts in (and a new pin of course), and I was back on track.
I’m not sure, I know the new shock tower has different holes for its unique wing mount support. I’m not sure if those additional mount points will get in the way. More than likely they won’t. But where there is a will, there is a way, if you notice in my video, I used a Dremel to drill the holes through the shock tower myself to make it work.
Wow! what a great video! thankyou so much for making this, this one is way better than the one I did, which got lost. I always enjoy the way you explain things. I learn from your videos even when I invent the part!
