- In this video I break down my thoughts about Ed in regards to 5 specific categories! In short, I think he'll have a great run as a counter pick character, similar to his role in SFV, even though his gameplan has been completely overhauled!

The glow up in every regard compared to him in SFV is fucking nuts
It's crazy how great the designs in the SF6 have been. They really push the idea of what is possible for a SF character gameplay-wise while still feeling like they fit in
I’ve always been a huge fan of boxers in fighting games but never considered Ed to be one in SFV so I didn’t pay attention to his release in 6 until his gameplay trailer came out which really shocked me with how technical he looks now. Unfortunately I’ll still have a long way to go before I even hit half the combos you’ve shown but I feel the exact same way as you - this character’s made the largest glow up in FG history and is who I plan to main as well 🥊
When he was announced i was hyped because he was my secondary in 5. When i tried him i was like dam hes hard to use so i gave up lol. The more i kept trying him offline the more i started to think this guy is sick if you put in the time. Then we had a set today and we know how that went lmao. Dope video
Stick with him! You won't regret it! He's hard to play, yes but he rewards you for it. Hope us playing changed your mind a bit haha
Ed made the game 100% more interesting imo. I'm still amazed at how he geew on me after picking him up at the end of sfv as a joke to my friends when endingwalker became famous
This was a fantastic video. I am looking to pick up Ed as I did use him in 5. Right now I'm currently a Diamond 3 Manon main, so I have no where to go but up lol.

Hey great video. Sf5 Ed main and potential sf6 Ed main. I think B- is a very accurate rating. And def def A+ fun wise. Def makes you think and the multiple utilities of many specials is great. Keep up the good work.

Love her! Got her to Master pretty quick too back in October. There was just so much Aki content I didn't bother. I did a few shorts though

I'm most impressed with how Capcom managed to take a character that was almost universally passed over due to poor design, and turn him into a character that is genuinely interesting and exciting for people to play.
I don't know if those tools are enough to make him strong. As an Ed main I wish they would but as of right now I see him in mid tier
If they fix his jab and maybe he's crossup it could become much more stronger. Nonetheless, I find him as one of the coolest characters just like Deejay
I agree about the mid tier placement. But being mid tier in this game, is really strong compared to past iterations. Where I see him shining is in his ability to do well in certain matchups. I think some high tiers will struggle with him, making him a good secondary but difficult solo main

I didn't do one for Aki. I love her. Got her to Master when she came out but my content was struggling at that time so I skipped an overview for her. I did some shorts though about her
Ed seems like the most middle of the road dlc he seem better but he seems to be not the end all be all which is nice a real skill cannon but damn I would've loved a standing low or overhead.
Jumping Lk can fuzzy overhead which I'm sure will lead to wild stuff with level 2 down the line. But I agree he has some trouble opening people up without the overhead
@@qmanchu oh I know but MK looks like a low and I thought the MKMK Fierce was a natural cambo not a command so I thought before he released I was gonna have some Balrog mix but nope
