I got a Cambridge Turquoise KJV in the blue goat skin. I couldn't get over how heavy it was! Judging by your old Bible it was high time to get a new one. I have an old KJV study bible, that I bought back in 93. It was starting to fall apart but I still have it. It was my 1st KJV. 😁
Happy that you got the KJV Note-Taker's Bible. It looks great. My son just got me a KJV-Amplified Parallel Bible as a New Year's present. Can't wait to read it in the new year. ❤😊
It's the fact that it was made from goats skin, etc. I went to Ollie's and bought a "journal the word" KJV Bible and it's exactly like what you have there, but it's a hard cover and that part wasn't made exactly the greatest. The rest of the Bible though, right down to it not relying upon glue so much but also has strings that will keep the pages from falling out, are really a great idea..glue can wear out over time. In mine I wrote an entire new testament commentary along with my underlings from my other most used KJV Bible. It took me four years also because I didn't go off of any theology but revelation. One of the greatest things I ever did. Also used different color pens to make distinctions and different colored highlighters
This unboxing is fun to watch. Lots of space for notes.. unbelievable. Page edges look gilded, and lobe multiple bookmarks. How's the paper quality for writing with a gel pen? I'm not sure I like the overlap of the cover, but it sure looks nice! Love a leather cover. Should be opened on a satin or silk cloth rather than a white towel, but otherwise thanks for showing us! The price is fairly high.. For that, there should be a zip around and matching goat gloves. Haha. ❤😂
First of all, your new Bible is beautiful and looks quality in every respect. As a female however, I wish similar offerings were available with a smaller footprint to reduce overall weight. The gilding is some of the nicest I have seen. Hope your new purchase blesses you for many years to come.
I bought the same Bible but in the cheapest lambskin cover. It's awesome! I looked for years for a Bible with large margins, no titles in the columns, no cross references to avoid other people's interpretation. I could not be happier. They have heavier pages on the outside to protect the inner pages. There's a great section of good quality maps in the back and the paper that they're on is very heavy as well and very clear. I bought mine from the KJV store as well. Good service. I tend to be wordy, so when I need longer notes I mark where the notes have been written, usually no more than a page away. I have 2 KJV that I crammed notes and references of my own choosing into. The smaller one that demands glasses will remain in the satchel with the note takers. I'm in the process of moving notes and references across from those other two Bibles. It's the Bible I've been looking for for years. I bought this, and a friend bought the John MacArthur legacy study Bible. He was KJV. We've had some serious words!
Impressive how you managed to record the overhead video of the unboxing without your head getting in the way. I'm happy you found the perfect bible for you. When I graduated from bible school 40 years ago, I got a nice leatherbound KJV bible with my name engraved on the front. It's the only bible I ever bought that wasn't paperback or hardbound. As it turned out, I started using the NKJV and other translations more and haven't used my good bible very much. Sounds like you're going to be using yours a lot.
It was a little awkward recording it but my head was above the camera somewhat. My body would have been in the way of the camera stand if I filmed it right side up. So, I put the stand across from me on the other side and the boom came straight over the top towards me stopping with the camera directly above the Bible. So, I actually recorded it upside down and then flipped the video right side up in editing. In retrospect I could have probably just flipped the iPhone around and recorded it initially the right way but that would have been too smart for my simple brain that seems to find ways to do things the hard way. I don’t really have the right equipment for that type of shot, so I improvised. Thanks for watching. God bless you! Happy New Year!
I purchased a Premium Bible for my daughter for Christmas, except she goes to a Lib Church, so it was a NRSV. She loved it! I have many Bibles at home, except for church I use my Holy Cellphone, and type in the Notes App. 😂😉. Great video!
Ok, I went to the website and checked it out. Brian doesn’t do this bible justice in this video! This is a genuine, top quality, “premium” bible in every respect. Goatskin cover, calfskin lining, with a 1” yap, red under gold art gilt pages, premium French 36 gsm bible paper, printed and bound in the Netherlands by Royal Jongbloed, and more! I do believe I have found my next bible (as if I needed another one!) I already have a “note takers” bible from CBP I got a few years ago, but it’s not a “premium” bible like this one! Lesser quality cover and paper and such. Still a great bible, but there’s just nothing else like a “premium, bible!
I purchased my "Bible for the rest of my life" years ago, but unfortunately my eyesight has worsened to the point where it is too difficult for me to read it now. If my eyesight continues to worsen, as is common for humans as they age, I'd end up needing to carry around an enormous Bible. So, I went with a Kindle Bible where I can easily take it with me whenever I have my phone or tablet or Kindle reader. I love the ability to adjust the font size to whatever fits my eyesight needs. Highlighting is possible, but unfortunately being able to take notes directly is not. But I figure someone will come out with a good solution someday before long for that issue. When ebook Bibles first came out, I never thought I'd use one, but I'm totally sold on them now.
Looks like a very nice Bible! I only use pew Bibles at this stage in my life. I replace them every couple years. Maybe some day I will move on to the stage when I want a real leather bound Bible.
Wow I want one. You should do a video on how to understand the old english in KJB tips and so on when reading it. I have a KJB and even though I'm English I struggle with the language it's written in.
I still have my KJV that my Dad got for me when I was 5. He got it in August 2012 but the cover is falling apart unfortunately but I don’t care. I still love it.
Not sure what highlighters you use, but I bought gel highlighters and have no bleed through. I don't have any other advice for writing pens. Lovely Bible indeed. So exciting getting a new Bible 😊 Enjoy!
That is a beautiful Bible, I just can't justify the price. I have ten-dollar Bibles that are older than my adult kids. You can get a Notetaking KJV Bible for around twenty-five dollars. Yes you have one-and-three-quarters inches of note taking space vs the space in that Bible, but it is a two-hundred dollar difference. If someone gave me one I wouldn't refuse, but I am too cheap and the words in my less expensive Bibles are the same as those.
Hmmm. I did not know that. Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I have one question though. If I shut my yapp, is that when I closed my Bible or when I stopped talking? Ba dum Bump! Happy New Year! God bless you!
I remember for years buying $1 books from the store, easily destroying them. Eveŵntually bought a little bit more expensive bible online but still cheap construction and paper. One day, a pastor saw how poorly constructed the bible was and passed down a very high quality book. Unfortunately one Sunday morning, I forgot it on the car roof and now its long gone. Fast forward about 2 months later and I bought a quality leather book off kjvstore. Paper is good quality and leather definitely holds up. No commentary, just straight words how I wanted it. Excited for you Brian, Im sure it feels nice in the hand

The King James Bible has power.. it's God's word and God magnifies his word above his own name Psalm 132:8 KJV. When you change words, doctrine changes, context changes, you lose cross-references, and you lose the blessing of studying every mention of a word in its context for the full definition. That's called full mention... Also important is first mention and final mention word studies. You're really missing out on God opening up the Bible to you by believing the lie that it has to be dumbed down for you to understand rather than living by faith and asking God to open your eyes to his precious word.
NLT is not a real Bible, but just a paraphrase "Bible" in which so-called translators repackaged Scripture into words they prefer riddled with their own personal interpretation and bias.
There are very obvious contradictions in those different Bible versions related to key doctrines effecting a change to what is the Gospel of Christ and the core essentials of the Christian faith. I got to the point I wanted to know what I am reading in my hand is the actual Word of God. I studied it and the origin of our Bibles and how we got so many versions, the differing Greek Texts for the New Testament our Bibles are translated from and the differing manuscript streams that are the sources of those different Greek texts. Bottom line, I learned the KJV is legit with overwhelming manuscript evidence. Everything else has little evidence and is corrupted and contradicts itself quite often as a result of bad translations and they don't even care because they are just a copyrighted money maker for each of the publishing companies trying to compete and gain a significant market share from the number one selling book every year, the Bible.
Marking up a Bible for notes is not the best idea. Use a note book. Then when you get a newer idea of a Bible verse you can have plenty of room to add to your verse. Writing in your Bible does not allow room to add to your thoughts. Use a note book. There is plenty more room. Medical students who become great doctors don’t write in there medical books. They use note books. Hmmmm. Should we not be of the same or greater.
I agree so much with your statement. Notebook or journal is definitely a more efficient way to collect notes and thoughts. Also, there is something great about just dealing with the text of Holy Scripture without clutter from my own opinion. And at times, your perspective on a particular text or passage can change and be enlightened from previous studies, which is fine recorded in a journal or notebook, but can be hindering or unhelpful when next to Holy Scripture. God bless you!
@@faithonfireministries of course, just different perspectives. I also enjoy Bibles that just have black text, instead of the red letter editions. I like making my own cross references as well, instead of having those in the columns. Sometimes I think seeing a marked up Bible is cool, it shows character and that it is being used (I know that's not the purpose)...just not for me. God bless you sir.
Being a doctor myself, as a student I wrote all over my textbooks and so did my classmates and my professors. Writing in your Bible is a great way to interact with the Word of God and form a relationship with God. Some people need that interaction. Maybe that’s just not how you learn and interact with God and that’s just fine. But don’t convince others to study like you do. Not everyone is the same.
great ; now dump 'that wicked one' - as God calls it - that will lead you into the Trib. For He says [to us] "your fathers ['the Reformation'] said : come lets translate the scroll so that all kings and servants will know His words" , then, "but they will have produced the wicked one for they will not have listened to Me , and will copy the one of the evil seed ['sons of Esau'] " that in Alexandria 240 BC have composed that corrupt Septuagint of which KJV is a copy
With your egalitarian and OSAS views that are refuted by the bible, perhaps your money would be better spent on "Learn How to Read English Books for Beginners." 🤔
Sure, insult me. I don't care. It is not my fault you have bent the knee to tradition and denominational bias and try to support it with false isolated prooftexts. I know you can read English so you have no excuse for your stubborn errors. My advice to you is to put your reading skills to work and READ the entire Bible in context! It is obvious you haven't done that yet. You conveniently ignore Priscilla, Phoebe and Junia in the New Testament as though they never existed in Scripture. You ignore Prophetess Huldah, Judge Deborah and Queen Esther in the OT as well. You hold to a popular view of arrogant men who want to be at the top of a hierarchy of "institutionalized churchianity" because you don't understand the Body of Christ nor our mission as Christians due to your blind spots and strongholds. That is why you cherry pick verses about sanctification as prooftexts for salvation to fruit inspect others and at the same time you totally ignore crystal clear verses about salvation that indicate OSAS, that we are saved by Jesus and kept saved by Jesus.
@@faithonfireministries You are full of straw man this morning. I guess I hit a nerve. Priscilla is actually Priscilla and her husband Aquila. Phoebe was a deacon which means servant. As for Junia, the gender is in debate and also the bible does say only men have gifts of the Holy Spirit. Women can lead in the church and even be part of a church board; just not exercise authority over men. That's what Paul's teaching to Timothy was. Not cherry picking but obviously you are. Anyone with a basic understanding of Christiantiy and the bible will see that God respects the will of man which is essentially why universalism is false. Only those who believe will be saved. There are no OSAS verses in the bible unless you want to read only what you want to read while ignoring basic context and even ignoring basic texts. The promises of God apply to those who believe and not to those who do not believe or no longer believe. If you call that cherry picking, that's a lot of cherries and it is so well covered in the bible that one can cherry pick randomly and probably get a refute for OSAS. The warnings of the bible must be taken seriously. God will not go against himself and take away the will of man after conversion.
Can you cite me one verse that says God will not take away the free will of man? I can cite you many that oppose that possibility, but I would like to see if you can produce even one verse that plainly states what you ended your last comment with "God will not go against Himself and take away the will of man after conversion." Where is that in the Bible? And you added a false premise into the statement as a tactic to give it credibility suggesting falsely that if God does override the will of a man that somehow God is going against Himself. No God is not. So, give me your best Scripture source for what you are promoting here.
@@faithonfireministries How about 31,102 verses? (entire bible) Is that enough? I don't need to cater to someone's "give me your best Scripture". What you seem to not understand is why there are 31,102 verses in the bible and not merely just a few. A few only would be required if God forced people against their will. What would be the point of Mosaic laws, Kings, etc and then Christ's sacrifice if God will simply make you follow him? Ironic that you oppose the lack of free will in calvinism for getting saved and then you turn into a calvinist after someone is saved. I know you won't like this comparison but if the shoe fits. At least cavlinism associates post conversion with holy living however false the calvinist position is. If God did not respect the will of man, what purpose is there of Deuteronomy chapter 28? (blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience). You want just one verse? That's easy. Mark 8:34 "Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me." What this verse says and means is that you have a choice in this and God will respect your choice. Why would Jesus even say this if we had no choice? And why would you suddenly lose this choice after following him? that doesn't even make any sense. Why give the many warnings to Christians if Christians no longer have a choice? Why warn Christians " Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death." (James 1:15) if God will simply go against your free will and prevent you from doing this? Why say, to Christians, "Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers." (1 Tim 4:16) if God will simply go against your free will and make you persist? Do you not see how downright foolish and against the scriptures your "no free will after conversion" is?

@oshea2300 the king James bible is a terrible translation. I have never read an accurate English translation. All translations are a sin since you don't have permission to possess or read it.

Why are you so proud of a Bible that has God's name removed in thousands of verses? It's disrespectful to the Author. I'll never understand why KJVers are okay with that.
@timsmith2028 I don't disagree. It's just one huge flaw of the translation that nobody seems to care about. In fact most translations do the same thing and nobody cares. I don't understand why people are okay with that. We know where his name was meant to be. There's no justification for not having it there.
@mobymagg I'm sure I've heard the same arguments already. It's funny to see Fundamentalist Baptists and Mormons on the same side. KJV is basically 90% word for word copy of Tyndale with Geneva and Bishop's bibles sprinkled in. The obsession with this translation is borderline idolatry. If you choose to respond, please only do so in 16th-century English.
And I have surely heard the same tired exaggerations, historically inaccurate presumptions, and just baseless accusations attacking the KJV and KJV supporters. If you have any response please restate your comment as many times as the number of translations you use. After you've made your comment(s), allow me to cast doubt on your comment as not original, or unintelligible. Then may I suggest you make your comment in a language you aren't fluent in or have even come close to mastering, like Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek for extreme clarity. After that, may I recommend your comment be removed altogether because "older and better" comments have been found of yours, and they are more authoritative. Have a great day!
@ShallStandForEver what was exaggerated and historically baseless? I also did not say older is better. I said KJV was copied from older documents and I never mentioned older original texts. Your emotional response is exactly why I mentioned the boderline idolatry thing.

I seen your Blue Bible, yes, I think you might. The new is beautiful though.
Plot twist….it was a ‘New World Translation’.
Ha! Nope!
New Living Translation is the ONLY translation.
NLT is not a real Bible, but just a paraphrase "Bible" in which so-called translators repackaged Scripture into words they prefer riddled with their own personal interpretation and bias.
@ you KJV-only folks are too much. There’s pros and cons to thought for thought and word for word.
New bible 😂😂😂
I think we can do both. I do have a notebook with lots of Bible notes because my previous Bible left no room for any notetaking anyway.
@@faithonfireministries by the way, beautiful Bible, thanks for sharing. I know it's a different type of video for you, but it was great to see.
For He says [to us] "your fathers ['the Reformation'] said : come lets translate the scroll so that all kings and servants will know His words" , then, "but they will have produced the wicked one for they will not have listened to Me , and will copy the one of the evil seed ['sons of Esau'] "
that in Alexandria 240 BC have composed that corrupt Septuagint of which KJV is a copy
You shouldn't write in the Bible !!!
Buy a notebook or write your own Book !!!
Why?
The last thing the nations need is another bible.
No this is the only Bible friend, the last thing our nation needs us another translation/ counterfeit / perversion
@oshea2300 the king James bible is a terrible translation. I have never read an accurate English translation.
All translations are a sin since you don't have permission to possess or read it.
What people need is Truth and not human understanding always needing another translation
@@oshea2300 Once you start to compare the proper Hebraic principles, concepts and use the spetuagent to learn Hebrew, the mindset the Jewish Apostles prophets operated Under, You’ll see a plethora of ERRORS and words how tainted it really IS
.
Then realize the agents in the pulpit are misleading your soul , normalizing SIN like BA-AL ERA events.
And see the REAL TRUTH about the redemption plan that Includes the eternal Torah Christ will be teaching from. The same thin ALL 100% your SUN day pulpit industry LIES to you about in ignorance.
Perhaps one day your mind will be FREE FROM the satanic grip of Manichaeism theology your SUN day church papal designed platforms is holding you UNDER.
And see the issue KJV has, that the false prophet in the pulpit you follow are the BLIND misleading the BLIND and Both headed for the ditch.
YET 1st you need to breakdown the ramparts of the grip the STRONG MAN has over you else you’ll never escape nor hear or perceived REAL pure truth the redemption plan actually IS.
Why are you so proud of a Bible that has God's name removed in thousands of verses? It's disrespectful to the Author.
I'll never understand why KJVers are okay with that.
God has spoke to many through KJV
@timsmith2028 I don't disagree. It's just one huge flaw of the translation that nobody seems to care about. In fact most translations do the same thing and nobody cares. I don't understand why people are okay with that.
We know where his name was meant to be. There's no justification for not having it there.
Nice bible. Terrible translation.
You might want to see what the Truth is Christ yt channel has to say on that.
