I'm a 67 year old male and my pain is from doing "dips". I'm afraid the only remedy for me will be to stop doing this exercise. Unfortunately, as I age, there are more and more exercises that I have to discontinue because of joint pain. It sux, but it is what it is.
Yea im 14 and it’s concerning that my young frame is even experiencing pain at this age I’ve also noticed the same thing with the pain and it’s correlation with doing dips. I don’t want to completely stop the exercise as it’s my main tricep exercise but the pain is just excruciating 😹
I've had this issue with my shoulder and collarbone around this time last year and let me tell you, I've searched everywhere on Google and RUclips but didn't come across anything useful. I went to see the doctors but they couldnt and didn't diagnose me and only gave me pain killers. It stopped until just a week ago I started experiencing the same problem again. I decided to search again on RUclips and this time I found your video and am very thankful 🙏. Your series of videos on how to excersie the neck muscle have helped a lot. Also as I was excersing my muscles per your demonstration I could feel the relief in tense areas which I never thought was possible. I truly appreciate the tips
It’s crazy how everything works together. I had shoulder pain from doing dips incorrectly at the gym, a week later I experienced pain in my collar bones it subsided and then I started getting nerve tingling in my neck. I was so confused but you made it simple to understand. It’s been a month now and the tingling is almost all gone. Just getting some neck soreness now
Same I feel the pain from my upper chest close to the collarbone/ right shoulder shoots up to my neck and ear I think is my posture too much phone usage
I've been doing stretches for hyperkyphosis for a while now and I'm getting clavicle tightness and discomfort, especially in one of my shoulders. I attribute it to being a side sleeper because when I stretch in the morning I often get a crack or two out of my clavicles and sometimes even in the upper center of my sternum and of course my shoulder. I've taken to doing all kind of stretches and somatic movements, like a little kid just wiggling my body.
Glad I found this explains a lot. Recently got back to archery and I am experiencing pain from the clavicle to my neck up to the back of my head. Explains a lot now I need to find a fix for it.
Hello, we are so sorry you were experiencing pain. Have you had your symptoms assessed by a musculoskeletal expert as hands on treatment could possibly help?
@@OsteoandPhysio not yet. I don't have Canadian health insurance since I'm new here and the process of looking for a doctor is not as clear cut as what we had back in the Philippines. I'm just basing it off my experience with old injuries and noticing that there's a muscle that's behind the scapula going up the neck that's swollen compared to the left one.
My first time experiencing pain in this area. Mine is on the right side just above the collarbone and very uncomfortable to sleep with. I haven't done anything I recall to irritate the muscles or tendons so I think it's normal aging pains that come and go. You know the old saying, When you're young, you're a spring chicken. When you're old, you're a sitting duck.
I have a hard lump on my collarbone that's been there for about 2 months. It's not painful to move my arm at all, not tight, and I've not had any kind of injury. The only real time there's tenderness is from the seat belt in my car. An X-ray didn't show anything and my dr is saying it's arthritis most likely. I'm concerned it could be something else but I don't know what other testing to get. The lump is hard bone like and about the size of a grape, near the ac joint. I'd love any kind of feedback about painless collarbone lumps.
I have history of collar bone and sternum pai for 8 years. Now 13 months ago it has spreaded to my scaling, neck, intense trapazius abd shoulder blade pain. All the MRI and x-ray came out negative. But nothing is found. I have been on pain killers for years. Now when I lay down whether hard or soft surface. I get intense rhomboid pain as soon as it touches the surface then at the same time I get throat pain feeling like of a lump at the back of the throat but in reality it's not. By time it has destroyed the quality of my time.
Hello, we are so sorry to hear you are experiencing these symptoms! We would recommend seeking advice from a musculoskeletal expert as hands on treatment or more specific exercises may be more relevant for you to help with your specific symptoms and provide a proper diagnosis.
Have you looked into costochondritis? There's all sorts of ideas/remedies for relief. But basically it seems like a mechanical issue with a stuck rib in the spine that causes the rib attachment in the front sternum to cause problems. Causes the neck and back muscles to be all messed up. I've had costio for 2 years now. PT, chiropractor, and meloxicam have helped me. LIke you, docs thought it must be an upper back disc because I was in such intense pain and it literally stopped my life, but everything came back normal from all my testing.
Came here after straining something lifting weights on my collar bone but think I'll watch the whole video you are absolutely gorgeous. I need to move across the pond lol.
I was recovering from dengue fever 6 days ago i was release from the hospital i was too happy to be back home put on my sling beg across my chest from then on i got this strained from my collar bone till my neck.
My pain is in the muscle directly below the collarbone and radiating into the upper bicep area. This really inhibits my ability to lift my arm directly in front of me in flexion. Always feels like the upper bicep muscle is tight. A massage gun on that area provides a bit of relief, but I'd like to find a more permanent solution.
My collarbone pain came around 5 month's ago since the left shoulder tendons stretched out. A local practioner helped re- fit the tendons back into socket area. Pain is daily. Can it cause collarbone to snap?
Thank you 🙏 I recently hurt something in this area, I usually see an Osteopath but this time saw a physio (all I could get last minute) and he couldn’t do anything except check all directions of movement but didn’t do anything to release any tightness. It still feels awful 2 days later: should I just try and Osteopath instead? I’m not sure a physio can really help me, I think it’s partly my hypermobility issue and there for unstable shoulders etc. i need a long term plan as well .
Hello, thank you for your comment and this is a great question! For us it is finding the right expert for you as they are all so different in terms of treatment plans and expertise e.g. a physio in perfect for some individuals and other not and this can be the same for osteopaths. If you found amazing results from osteopathy before then this may be the best option :)

Thank for the quick reply. Would an Osteopath be the correct person for me to see prior to starting any treatment? If so, is there any subspecialty of Osteopath that would be most appropriate?
I've watched a lot of videos from ostepaths from england/austrailia and they are exactly what I think I need, but we just don't seem have them in the US! We have PT, but it seems like only a small portion of what these guys do...and ortho docs aren't going to do crap if there's nothing to operate on. It's super frustrating!! I have pain in my right shoulder, and I know that it comes from the fact that I was stepped on by a cow, when I was 7 yrs. old; at the time I don't even know if I told my mom; the cow stepped on my collarbone; I had people tell me that my right side of the collarbone looked different, and now I can feel the difference, my left shoulder/collarbone feels smooth, but the right side where the collarbone meets the shoulder, is bent in, and I am having pain there; very sore; is there anything I can do for that?
