- Back in 2012, bassist Christian McBride stopped by the KNKX performance studios for a mini-concert with pianist Peter Martin. It was one of the most elevating duet performance we’d ever heard.
This time, though, Christian brought his trio with him: Pianist Christian Sands, and drummer Ulysses Owens, Jr.
Together they’re one of the most in-demand trios on the international club and festival circuit. And here they are, ready to play 3 wonderful pieces of music, just for you.
The Christian McBride Trio includes Christian McBride (bass), Christian Sands (piano), and Ulysses Owens, Jr. (drums).

I almost passed this on because of the title but then after checking out many other vids by Christian Sands and Christian McBride...I thought it just had to be exceptional... I was and am RiGHT!!!

@@MrEmanuelw Yup. The tune is a gospel song. So the whole thing has a soul-jazz vibe. Redd Holt plays a bit tighter almost like Grady Tate. The young man here seems more loose to my ears, not loose like Elvin Jones, but loose like Art.

This is harder to play than it seems there's tons of little movements and modulation but it comes out seamless and beautiful well done ya'll
